Voting phase is over! And there is no tiebreaker this time, partially due to higher number of voters this time.

For the Cave + Subterrain category…
1st place goes to the Hotpole line by Bloopyghost with a whopping ten votes!

2nd place goes to the Carment line by Sigilyph Bro and the Nuggold line + Pytrix duo by G-Luke, with five votes each.

3rd place goes to the Zudrat line by Loginator, the Gypsmite line by Emergence, and the Twinkletoad line by Dilasc, with four votes each.

For our sole Pikaclone / Electric Rodent, Furupika by Emergence have won with 16 votes.

We enter the discussion phase regarding the winners and what should be created for the region for future slates. The next slate begins tomorrow.

From the next slate on, the veto phase will be it’s own phase between the submission phase and voting phase, and will lasts for 24 hours, or 48 hours if a lot of people have unfinished submissions.

Can I ask when are we planning to get to the Wonder Mask slates? Also some thoughts/possible sets on my winning subs:

Seletasma
Strengths:
  • with Levitate, has 3 immunities to Normal, Fighting, and Ground, and 4 resistances to Bug, Fire, Poison, and Flying
  • decent 70 / 110 / 80 bulk
  • can set Stealth Rock and Spikes and block Rapid Spin, immune to Spikes/Toxic Spikes with Levitate
  • Nasty Plot and Rock Polish for set up
  • wide special coverage, including Rock/Ground coverage, so it can hit anything it needs to
Weaknesses:
  • while Levitate removes a key Ground weakness, it still has 5 relatively common weaknesses to Dark, Ghost, Grass, Water, and Steel
  • average speed tier, outsped by several Steel and Dark types in the region
  • without boosts, base 105 SpA doesn't really hit as hard as it wants to, especially against opponents with super effective moves
Nasty Plot Sweeper
Seletasma @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Power Gem
- Earth Power
- Nasty Plot
Ghost/Rock/Ground coverage can hit anything at least neutrally, Nasty Plot and Life Orb boost damage.

Scarfed Cleaner
Seletasma @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Power Gem
- Earth Power
- Dazzling Gleam
Using its scarf and wide coverage, Seletasma surprises weakened opponents that could otherwise outspeed it.

Furupika
Strengths:
  • Snow Warning + Aurora Veil support
  • STAB BoltBeam offensive coverage, also naturally resists BoltBeam itself
  • 3 resistances to Electric, Ice, and Flying, immunity to paralysis
  • solid base 105 Spe, useable base 90 SpA
  • Volt Switch to pivot, Nuzzle to spread paralysis
Weaknesses:
  • 4 weaknesses to common Fire, Rock, Ground, and Fighting
  • wanting to hold Light Clay for Aurora Veil means it can’t hold Heavy Duty Boots
  • very fragile with 55 / 60 / 65 bulk, still frail even under veil
  • can be outsped and knocked out by opposing fast offensive threats before it can set Aurora Veil
Aurora Veil support
Furupika @ Light Clay
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Aurora Veil
- Blizzard
- Volt Switch
- Nuzzle / Thunderbolt / Freeze-Dry
Light Clay sets Aurora Veil for 8 turns to support its team and help its own low bulk. Blizzard has 100% accuracy in the snow, and Volt Switch lets it pivot to a stronger teammate that can better abuse the veil. 4th move slot is customizable.

The Wonder Masks slate will be done after doing all the new Pokémon slates, more specifically either the Minor-Legends + Pseudo-Legendary slate or the Extra Slates after, if the latter happens.

Now for the next slate!

Slate 7 - A Cold Reception
:sv/crabominable::sv/snorunt::sv/spheal::sv/cetitan:
Traditionally (and derisively), cold areas tend to be placed late-game in mainline Pokémon games, even in regions where it wouldn’t make sense to be placed last. Either way, this is the frequent place where plenty of Ice-type Pokémon reside, as well as Pokémon who can live within the cold climate.

Despite the cold climate - or perhaps because of such climate - a variety of real-life creatures adapt to deal with the climate. As such, not all Pokémon that lives there are Ice-type.

Here’s the Rules
- This slate is kind of a free slate, but any flavor you make for you submissions must be cold-area-related. You can still be quite flexible with this (ex: Meditite line living in Mt Coronet), but make sure to address it.
- You may sub up to 4 unique evolutionary lines of Pokémon. These lines can include split evolutions.
- There is no hard BST limit for this slate, though you should stay reasonable unless you have a good flavor justification like Slaking.
- As for what's typical for a standard Pokémon, final evolutions tend to peak around the 520-530 range, sometimes going into the 540s for stuff like cross gen evolutions or Gyarados. Florges and Arcanine are the only two non-flavor exceptions to this, being over 550, with the others (Slaking and Archeops) having flavor reasons. Standalone Pokémon tend to stay below 500, especially for early-to-midgame mons, though there are a lot of exceptions for later game mons like Duraludon or Dhelmise.
- Pokémon that live in caves are usually Rock, Ground, Steel, or Fighting-type, but you can be flexible with it (ex: Bat Pokémon that live in caves have been Poison, Psychic, and Dragon and all of them are Flying).
- You can sub regional forms for this slate. Make sure to not make a repeat of Galarian Darmanitan power-wise!

The chart below is a count for non-Legendary fully evolved Pokémon. As you can see, we already have a lot of Steel-type liens compared to the other type, so I do not recommand making one. Electric, Psychic, Rock and Water currently only have one new Pokémon line each (Electric having only the Pikaclone) so we do want to have a few more at this or few next slates.
1689785136939.png

As usual, the submission phase lasts six days, but there will now be a seperate 24 hours Veto Phase from this phase on. If there’s a lot of unfinished or problematic submissions, then the Veto Phase lasts for 48 hours.

Base Stats: 35 / 35 / 85 / 45 / 115 / 70 (385)
Notable Moves: Onix's movepool - Ground/ Steel type moves/Body Press/Sunny Day + Ice Shard, Diamond Storm, Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Dazzling Gleam, Hail
Height + Weight: 8.8 m + 210 kg
Flavour/Design: Bloody Crystal Onix.
(Use Ice Stone on Onix-Desvega)

Name: Benitonix (Benitoite + Onix)
Typing: Dragon/Ice
Ability: Clear Body/Sheer Force/Frost Cloak*
Base stats: 75 / 55 / 85 / 85 / 115 / 100 (510)
Notable Moves: Onix-Desvega's movepool + Icicle Spear, Mountain Gale, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Rush, Haze, Dragon Dance, Rock Polish, Blizzard, Chilling Water, Power Gem, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor.
Height + Weight: 10.5 m + 340 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Benitoite, the state gemstone of California, as well as Serpentine. Picture Mega Steelix without the orbiting debris and made of icy crystal with Alolan Golem facial hair.
*Frost Cloak: If hail/snow begins or if the Pokémon is sent out during hail/snow, sets up Aurora Veil on the allied field. (Could be distributed to other hail/snow focused mons later)
Potential Competitive Role: Aurora Veil support.
Name: Aleviar (Alevin/newly hatched fry that's still attached to the yolk sac + Caviar)
Typing: Water/Normal
Ability: Water Bubble / Infiltrator [HA]
Base Stats: 71 / 56 / 63 / 55 / 70 / 70 (385)
Height + Weight: 0.4 m + 1.0 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on roe, the eggs of fish such as trout. Design wise, picture Nemo's siblings if they were like Solosis. In the past, Aleviar were fed on by other Water-types such as Frozuna and Dondozo, but these critters are the equivalent of roundworms, so if your Pokémon feel sick and aquaphobic, you'll want to take them to the Pokémon center to check if they've had some recently.
Potential Competitive Role: One of the bulkier options for Water- or Normal-types in LC - as a Normal-type, it's bested only by Lickitung and maybe Munchlax overall, while it trumps fellow Water-types Chinchou and Shellos; Water Bubble helps patch up its alright attacking stats for Water STAB.

(Lvl up Aleviar starting at lvl 24)
Name: Cuttrout (Cutthroat trout)
Typing: Water/Steel
Ability: Battle Tide($) / Infiltrator [HA]
Base Stats: 75 / 100 / 63 / 112 / 75 / 85 (510)
Notable Moves: Aqua Jet, Aqua Cutter, Aqua Tail, Wave Crash, Smart Strike, Iron Head, Iron Tail, Ice Fang, Ice Hammer, Sucker Punch, Throat Chop, Rapid Spin, Thrash, Brick Break, Close Combat, Brine, Surf, Hydro Pump, Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Final Gambit, Fillet Away, Pain Split, Autotomize, Rain Dance.
Height + Weight: 0.7 m + 9.0 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on the Cutthroat Trout & Rainbow Trout, state fish of Nevada and California respectively, who also interbreed to make a cutbow. Cuttrout is a trout with glistering metallic scales that reflect light like a prism and help it break through icy waters. Cuttrout prey on Bug-types such as Frostfish and utterly trounce Basculin in territorial fights, though are hunted by bear Pokémon like Grizzline; their unrivaled resilience has led to some anglers to attempt snagging them instead, with disastrous results, primarily for the greenhorn.
Admittedly, I was saving this for the Aquatic Panic slate, but since trouts live in cold rivers, felt this would be a good testing slate. So if this doesn't win, at least I know what to improve for that slate. For the record, the planning starting back during the Route 1 slate, I've honestly tried a different type combo that wasn't Steel; given the steelhead trout's existence and the lack of fish that could have been Water/Steel, any other type combo felt wrong)
$Battle Tide: The Pokémon draws in and is immune to Water-type moves. When hit by a Water-type move, boosts the Pokémon's Atk by one stage. (RedwoodRogue specified that Battle Tide is the physical counterpart to Storm Drain, so the Spreadsheet's definition might be slightly inaccurate)
Potential Competitive Role: Fillet Away is a Cuttrout option (pun intended :p) for hyper offense, with Battle Tide providing an boosting Immunity for physical sets while Infiltrator deems Subs and Screens void. Just hope that the Steel-type is enough to help you survive...
Name: Wapitini (Wapiti + tini/teenie)
Typing: Ice/Normal
Ability: Slush Rush/Snow Coat/Sheer Force
Base Stats: 80/50/50/50/50/60 (340)
Height + Weight: 0.8 m + 65 kg
Flavour/Design: Small elk calf with spiky nubs growing on its forehead and a snow moss coat around its back and hooves; Wapitini are distantly related with Deerling, though their adaptation of snowy tundras have given it a cold, aloof personality.

(Have Wapitini win a battle while Grassy Terrain is active)
Name: Arborelk (Arboretum + elk)
Counterparts: Epithelk, Elkrosis
Typing: Ice/Grass
Ability: Slush Rush/Grass Pelt/Sheer Force
Base Stats: 100/80/70/80/70/80 (480)
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Mountain Gale, Grassy Glide, Firework Leaf($), Horn Leech, Power Whip, Body Slam, Double-Edge, Earthquake, High Jump Kick, Iron Head, Megahorn, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Water Pulse, Pollen Puff, Aromatherapy, Grassy Terrain, Leech Seed, Strength Sap, Aurora Veil, Hail, Rototiler*, Nature Power, Endure.
Height + Weight: 2.0 m + 500 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on Roosevelt elk, which can be found in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park: Arborelk is a gruff elk with sagebrush antlers and a flowing coat of needlegrass, both state plants of California and Nevada; Arborelk are the natural most common evolution of Wapitini in the wild, where they live in herds in cold, mountainous places alongside Abomasnow.
$Firework Leaf: Base 70 physical Grass-type move that is super-effective against Steel-types.
*Rototiler — in addition to existing effects, now boosts Atk & Sp. Atk of all grounded Grass-types by two stages when Grassy Terrain is in effect. [Makes it a counterpart to Growth; if the council determines that reworks to past elements like this or Desvegan Spearow's Keen Eye is not permitted, then just ignore this]
Potential Competitive Role: Put Arborelk on Grassy Terrain, strike first with Grassy Glide whilst being somewhat bulky with Grass Pelt; fast Slush Rusher, Sheer Force + Life Orb special sets are... alright.

(Have Wapitini win a battle while Psychic Terrain is active)
Name: Epithelk (Elk + Epithet)
Counterparts: Arborelk, Elkrosis
Typing: Ice/Psychic

Height + Weight: 2.1 m + 600 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Roosevelt elk and hippies on drugs, Epithelk is a 'wise' elk that's best described as an enlightened mix between Sawsbuck and Wyrdeer with a pair of etheral antlers. An uncommon evolution of Wapitini found recently in the wild, Epithelk are often found in wandering in a trance alone, disrupting electronic signals whenever they go and leaving hikers who encounter them chanting odd messages taunting "the voyeur beyond the shadows" for reasons no one knows why.
...Perhaps a higher power is involved?
$Psychic Surf: Base 95, 100% special Psychic move that boosts the user's Speed by one stage if Psychic Terrain is active.
!Field Of Vision: Psychic-type Obstruct that lowers the attacker's Special Defense by two stages if it sucessfully blocks a Special move.
Potential Competitive Role: Put Epithelk on Psychic Terrain and you can hit swiftly with Psychic Surf or hard with Expanding Force; Fur Coat gives you better physical bulk, or you can use Magic Bounce to enable support.

(Have Wapitini faint from poison/bad poison damage while Poison Terrain is active)
Name: Elkrosis (Elk + Necrosis)
Counterparts: Arborelk, Epithelk
Typing: Ice/Poison
Ability: Slush Rush/Fluffy/Merciless
Base Stats: 80/115/70/55/60/100 (480)
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Mountain Gale, Poison Fang, Toxic Shock*, Gunk Shot, Horn Leech, Body Slam, Double Edge, Axe Kick, Iron Head, Stomping Tantrum, Megahorn, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Clear Smog, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Snarl, Dark Pulse, Toxic Snowball(!), Haze, Mist, Hail, Poison Terrain, Poison Gas, Venom Drench, Hone Claws, Taunt, Endure.
Height + Weight: 1.6 m + 312.5 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Roosevelt elk, suffering from illnesses such as chronic wasting disease & elf hoof diesease; as well as zombies and wendigos. Elkrosis is a rabid elk with a fractured coat of lichen and withered mouldy antlers, while its hooves are badly deformed from frostbite, giving it a lame gait. A rare evolution of Wapitini and only found lurking near cemeteries, though a good wild sightings have been around Pokémon Centers as well. Elkrosis are easily aggravated and appear to be plagued by a sickness no one can identify or alleviate their pain from; the mystique surrounding these cryptic Pokemon has resulted in a popular tv show featuring a group of Pokemon surviving in a world infected by Elkrosis helped raise awareness, a show that first went live when the sightings were first reported.
...Perhaps a higher powers was the cause?
!Toxic Snowball: Ice-type status move — Protects the user. Deals 25% damage to and poisons opponents that try to use Special Attacks. May fail if used in succession.
*Toxic Shock: Base 70, 95% physical contactless Poison move that has a 30% chance to badly poison. If the target is affected by Poison Terrain upon the move's execution, this move always crits. (Can be distributed to other Poison Terrain benefactors; for the uninitiated, Toxic Shock syndrome can often led to visits in the ICU, hence the bad poisoning. It's also caused by viral infections, which Poison Terrain could be a hazard of, hence the guaranteed crit)
Potential Competitive Role: With a new terrain, comes a new mon to thrive in it: Toxic Shock's the poisonous counterpart to terrain moves like Expanding Force and Grassy Glide; if not under Poison Terrain, it's a fast frail sweeper that outspeeds others of its STAB under Hail; I swear it isn't as broken as Cinnabaron v.1

Height + Weight: 0.2 m / 3 kg
Flavour/Design: Mystichick follow Mystiquail for protection, as their wings are too small to carry them far and their psychic abilities are not yet fully developed. When hiding in snowy areas, they camouflage well with their pure white feathers. Mystichick are quail chicks, small and round and mostly running around rather than flying. They have small feather plumes on their heads, and they're all white with small purple marks on their faces. Mystichick evolve into Mystiquail at level 24.
Potential Competitive Role: LC Analytic-boosted attacker

Height + Weight: 0.8 m / 18 kg
Flavour/Design: Mystiquail are more often heard than seen, camouflaged in the mountain snow while communicating to one another with loud calls. They use the feather plumes on their heads to focus their psychic abilities, mostly for grabbing berries off low branches to eat from safety as well as detecting danger. Based on ptarmigans and California quails, which are California's state bird, Mystiquail are all white on their backs with light blue bellies. They have black feather plumes on their heads, with purple masks around their eyes. Females have less blue on their bellies and smaller plumes.
Potential Competitive Role: Choice Specs user with Trick, Defogger, has Recover for sustain and wide coverage. Thick Fat can be run to neutralize its Fire weakness, while Analytic allows it to hit faster opponents or switch ins harder.

New Features:
Effect: Immunity to accuracy drops, and entry hazards
Distribution: Spearow-Desvega, Fearow-Desvega, Nixrow, and all other past gen pokemon w keen eye
Since a lot of low-bst flying types receive this ability, it gives them a viable way to avoid stealth rock, without having to use heavy-duty boots. There are also a few other low-bst pokemon that benefit from this ability even if they aren't flying type. Personally, I think it makes sense to rework it as such

Flavor/Design: Based on a rough-legged hawk, a hawk that is more active in snowy climates in areas in and more up north of Nevada. Original Species: New Pokemon !!
Name: Ticalf (Ti (Titan) + Calf (Term for baby meese)
Counterpart(s): write the names of the counterpart of the Fakemon, write none or omit the field if there isn't any.

Notable Moves: Land Crush, Earthquake, Head Charge Slack Off Smack Down, Stone Edge, Superpower, Bulk Up, Stealth Rock
Flavor Moves: Heavy Slam,

New Features: land crush is below

Miscellaneous: Contact
Effect: Weight based, 100% accuracy and double damage on minimized targets (Heavy Slam Clone but Ground)
Distribution: Massmoose, Ticalf, any heavy ground type > 204 kg (heavy classed pokemon)

Flavor/Design: This Pokemon is basically just a moose but really big, pretty much the living form of ting lu, without the treasure of ruin. Its fur is pretty much covered in dirt, after staying prone for a long time in hibernation, it tends to pick up chunks of the land that it lays on. also to those questioning the speed meese r really fast. its the similar situation with bears, they are way faster than they look. They live almost anywhere, with them laying down and sleeping for even years at a time. They live to be quite old, and are a sign of good fortune to come.
Potential Competitive Role: UU mon ever, with the occasional ou bring. It has good potential as a rock setter and bulky mon

Note: this is just a big moose pretty much

Height + Weight: 2.5 m, 210 kg
New Features: Fish Out Of Water: This Pokémon’s moves use double PP. Doesn’t stack with Pressure.
Flavour/Design: The true form of the Galar fish fossil. It was preserved in ice at when the mountains of this region were underwater in prehistoric times.

This Pokémon is very strange, and very few have been recovered. It seems that a school(?) of them were frozen in ice, and scientists are currently working on excavating them carefully. While they are rather awkward on land, they are extremely dangerous, and only the most skilled trainers can train them.

Potential Competitive Role: Physical Wallbreaker, Physical Sweeper,

Its Dracovish but not broken. Would be really funny to only have this without the other fossils. Its ability prevents it from absolutely murdering anything in its path. Lots of regions have a restriction mon, this would work.

Height + Weight: 1.5 m, 315 kg
New Features:
Melodic Mind: Boosts sound based moves by 1.3x and sound type moves against it deal 1/2 damage.

Baroque Barrage: 25 damage | 100 accuracy | 30 PP | Special | Psychic | Hits 2-5 times | Sound based
Flavour/Design: A tiki head crossed with an Easter island head with antler/horn things on its head resembling a pipe organ and large lower teeth that stick out looking like piano keys and has little floating hands. Sort of looks like the DKC returns boss Kalimba now that I think about it.
These Pokémon are said to be the soul of a musician who died while playing. They are often found in old abandoned buildings in mountains and deserts. They love to play their haunting song for whoever comes near.
Potential Competitive Role: Special Wallbreaker, Trick Room Setter, Special Wall

Height + Weight: 2 m, 33 kg
Evolution: Walk 1000 steps with this Pokémon, then level it up to level 60 in the same location it was caught.
Flavour/Design: A bigger, meaner Bruxish that resembles a Dorado (also called Mahi Mahi) with long fins and more colors.

These Pokémon are extremely rare. Their pre-evolution only lives in a few locations across the region, in mountain rivers, secluded beaches, and around a strange island. They are known to be very attached both to their trainer, and to their home.
Potential Competitive Role: Physical Sweeper

Most generations introduce between 3 and 5 fully-evolved Ice types. We're about halfway through and already have 3 Ice mons, so here are some not-Ice-types for this slate:
:mamoswine::black-sludge:

Name: Desvegan Mamoswine
Type:

Abilities: Earth Eater, Sludge Rush, Thick Fat
Sludge Rush: Speed stat is doubled while in Poison Terrain.
Stats: 110 | 130 | 79 | 60 | 79 | 72 [BST= 530]
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Ice Spinner, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Superpower, Toxic
Signature Move: Oil Slick -
Physical, 40 BP, 30/48 PP, 100 Acc, +1 priority. (could give this to other poison mons as well pls thx)
Competitive Role: I guess if we're going to add a new field effect we should add a mon that takes advantage of it, right? 1.3x Gunk Shot with a 30% chance to badly poison is pretty nasty... Outside of poison terrain abuse, this is the old Mamoswine we all know and love (albeit with a moderately worse offensive type), using its monstrous attack stat and STAB priority to punch holes in the opposing team. Cover up those type weaknesses with either Earth Eater or Thick Fat, depending on which compliments the team better.

Name: Desvegan Piloswine
Type:

Abilities: Earth Eater, Sludge Rush, Thick Fat
Stats: 100 | 100 | 75 | 50 | 75 | 50 [BST= 450]
Competitive Role: nfe... Okay now that I think about it eviolite sets could maybe possibly kinda sort of* have a niche

Name: Desvegan Swinub
Type:

Abilities: Earth Eater, Poison Point, Thick Fat
Sludge Rush: Speed stat is doubled while in Poison Terrain.
Stats: 50 | 50 | 40 | 25 | 40 | 45 [BST= 250]
Competitive Role: lc

Flavor: Based on the infamous La Brea Tar Pits in California, this is basically the Mamoswine line but they're covered in sludge. Since Mamoswine's face is based on a ski mask, I guess you could change the regional to more resemble a gas mask... that's about it
Evolution Tree: Desvegan Swinub -(Level 33)> Desvegan Piloswine -(Lv. up knowing Ancient Power)> Desvegan Mamoswine
Should be noted that unlike the original Mamoswine line, they do not learn Ancient Power via level up - the move can only be taught via a hard-to-access TM or move tutor.
:magcargo::volcanion:
Name: Saunusca (sauna + Mollusca)
Type:

Abilities: White Smoke, Flame Body, Misty Surge
Stats: 75 | 60 | 120 | 105 | 97 | 43 [BST= 500]
Notable Moves: Calm Mind, Clear Smog, Earth Power, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Lava Plume, Overheat, Power Gem, Recover, Scald (learned upon evo), Shell Smash, Stealth Rock, Steam Eruption, Will-o-wisp

Competitive Role: What if Magcargo... but good? To be more specific, Saunusca is what would happen if Magcargo could actually perform as a defensive mon. The first thing that jumps out is the new typing - Fire/Water isn't exactly the best, since you're still weak to Ground moves and sr, and unlike Volcanion you take Water moves neutrally, but it's leagues better than Fire/Rock. Between better stats, Misty Surge, and STAB Steam Eruption, Saunusca is effective at tanking hits, blocking status, and making progress against the opponent.
(Don't forget that Magcargo also has access to Shell Smash :pip:)

Flavor: When exposed to a Dawn Stone, Magcargo transforms into Saunusca, its shell cracking open to reveal a chamber of superheated water inside. The steam it constantly eminates has a soothing effect on many people and other Pokemon, making them a spot for refuge on the peaks of Desvegan mountains. Based on hotsprings and saunas.
Evolution Tree: Slugma
-(Level 38)> Magcargo -(Dawn Stone)> Saunusc
:persian: :terrakion:
Name: Pumentum (puma + momentum)
Type:

Abilities: Slush Rush, Super Luck, Solid Rock
Stats: 85 | 100 | 90 | 55 | 70 | 115 [BST= 515]
Notable Moves: Accelerock, Close Combat, Drain Punch, Icicle Crash, Iron Head, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, U-turn
Competitive Role: Fast SDancer / budget Terrakion.

Name: Kitnetic (kitten + kinetic)
Type:

Abilities: Slush Rush, Super Luck, Solid Rock
Stats: 55 | 70 | 60 | 40 | 50 | 75 [BST= 350]
Competitive Role: lc

Flavor: Based on pumas, mountain lions, cougars... whatever you call them. Body is covered in dust and rocks. Kitnetics and Pumentums live in the mountain regions of Desvega, using slopes to build momentum and more effectively ambush prey.
Evolution Tree: Kitnetic -(level 40)> Pumentum

:delibird: > :unknown:
Santa’s helper elves + rockhopper penguin + elf owl
Original Species: Delibird (evolution; level up after using Bestow 20 times)
Name: Elfowl
Typing:

Abilities: Vital Spirit / Sweet Veil | Insomnia
(Yeah I replaced Hustle by Sweet Veil to continue on the Multiple Sleep Stopping Abilities joke Delibird was going for)
Base Stats: 70 HP / 65 Atk / 65 Def / 115 SpA / 65 SpD / 135 Spe (515 BST)
Notable Moves: Delibird’s movepool (including Chilly Reception) + U-Turn, Brave Bird, Surf, Sing, Sky Drop, Energy Ball, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, Trick, Cold Wind*, Earth Power
Height + Weight: 1.1 m / 20 kg
New Features:
Cold Wind -
Special, 90 BP, 15/24 PP, 100% Acc, 10% chance of inflicting -2 Special Attack on target. Hits both opponents in Doubles. Wind-based.
(Potentially given to Wattrel line, Articuno, Yanmega)
Flavour/Design: Despite evolving from Delibird, it makes itself more as Delibird’s helper both as labor and protector. The tail is turned longer and no longer store items, but instead serves as a cloak to protect Delibird and themselves during harsher winters.
Potential Competitive Role: Iron Bundle but hopefully-not-broken. While Ice / Flying remain horrible, it does have advantage of 135 Speed, allowing it to Rapid Spin when wearing Heavy Duty Boots, make for a Chilly Reception or U-Turn to get out of disadvantageous match-up, and increased coverage, with Cold Wind being a bit stronger than Air Slash, 100% accurate and could potentially slow down foes.
Porcupines + spiky rock formations
Name: Spikine (Spike + Porcupines)
Typing:

Abilities: Cute Charm / Rough Skin | Scrappy
Base Stats: 43 HP / 67 Atk / 41 Def / 40 SpA / 43 SpD / 88 Spe (322 BST)
Notable Moves: Bush Claws*, Accelerock, Rock Slide, Bulk Up, Zen Headbutt, Stealth Rock, U-Turn, Spikes, Poison Jab
Height + Weight: 0.7 m / 38.7 kg
Returning Features:
Bush Claws - Grass; Physical; 85 BP; 15 PP; 100% acc.; double damage against sleeping target; contact.
Flavour/Design: Brown porcupine-like Pokémon with very small rock-like spikes. Because of those underdeveloped spikes, they rather hide within similar rock spikes away from any unfamiliar faces.
Potential Competitive Role: Accelerock allows Spikine to revenge kill against similarly fast but frail Pokémon in LC.
Evolution: Porcuspike (Level 22 or higher)

Name: Porcuspike (Porcupines + mountain)
Typing:

Abilities: Gluttony / Rough Skin | Scrappy
Base Stats: 53 HP / 81 Atk / 77 Def / 50 SpA / 53 SpD / 98 Spe (412 BST)
Notable Moves: Bush Claws*, Accelerock, Rock Slide, Bulk Up, Zen Headbutt, Close Combat, Stealth Rock, U-Turn, Spikes, Poison Jab
Height + Weight: 1.1 m / 42.1 kg
Returning Features:
Bush Claws - Grass; Physical; 85 BP; 15 PP; 100% acc.; double damage against sleeping target; contact.
Flavour/Design: The rock spines are beginning to develop, and the paws can now double as hands, allowing to punch and kick when needed. It is considerably braver, willing to attack their predator if cornered.
Potential Competitive Role: Accelerock access in NFE Cup I guess?
Evolution: Rockuspines (Level up with Close Combat learned)

Name: Rockuspines (Rock + Porcupines + spines)
Typing:

Abilities: Gluttony / Rough Skin | Scrappy
Base Stats: 73 HP / 107 Atk / 101 Def / 60 SpA / 73 SpD / 118 Spe (532 BST)
Notable Moves: Bush Claws*, Accelerock, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Bulk Up, Zen Headbutt, Close Combat, Brick Break, Mach Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Stealth Rock, U-Turn, Spikes, Poison Jab
Height + Weight: 1.5 m / 64.6 kg
Returning Features:
Bush Claws - Grass; Physical; 85 BP; 15 PP; 100% acc.; double damage against sleeping target; contact.
Flavour/Design: With a full set of spiny rocky spikes on it’s back, Rockuspines does not have much to fear. Any predator that tries to directly attack it ends up having some rocky spikes stuck on their skin for a while. Rockuspines’ spikes will eventually regenerate in place of used ones.
Potential Competitive Role: Fast set-up sweeper with decent physicsl bulk. Rough Skin and Scrappy gives it a niche over competing Fighting / Rock type Terrakion. Dual priority STAB in the form of Accelerock and Rock Slide also helps set it apart from other Fighting-type Pokémon.

Notable Moves: Trick Room, Rapid Spin, Gunk Shot, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Drain Punch, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Icicle Crash, Poison Jab, Mach Punch, Ice Shard, Bulk Up, Toxic Spikes, Body Slam, Mega Punch, Coil, Play Rough, Power Up Punch, WoW, Toxic, Torment, Taunt, Wrap
Flavour/Design: Mummified cryo giant hands. Wraps=Coil
Potential Competitive Role: Interesting type at least.

Phallanger
Typing
: Poison/Ice
Abilities: Mummy/Poison Touch (Refrigerate)
Base Stats: 105/125/93/30/93/104 (540 BST)
Notable Moves: Trick Room, Rapid Spin, Gunk Shot, Ice Punch, Fire Punch, Drain Punch, Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch, Icicle Crash, Poison Jab, Mach Punch, Ice Shard, Bulk Up, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Toxic Spikes, Body Slam, Mega Punch, Coil, Play Rough, Power Up Punch, WoW, Toxic, Taunt, Torment, Wrap
Flavour/Design: Mummified cryogenic hands. Bigger mummy. Spin with Fridge or mummy away abilities.
Potential Competitive Role: Interesting type. Can use lots of moves. Mummy fun but Ice type is cringe.

Slushisloshi
Typing
: Ground/Ice
Abilities: Schooling
Base Stats: 65/20/20/5/25/40 when normal.
65/140/130/120/135/30 in school form.
Notable Moves: Icicle Crash, Earthquake, Flip Turn, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard, Stone Edge, Stealth Rock, Spikes, Yawn, Chilly Reception
Flavour/Design: A fish that swims in snowbanks. This is a convergent evolution of Wishiwashi. It is ground type because technically it swims in frozen mud. This is a school of tiny arctic fish... which kind? Not sure yet.
Potential Competitive Role: Its a bit fat but it's still an ice type. And if its HP drops... game over. May or may not get Sleep talk if too far. Or if too fat stats will be that of Washi but that's considered low tier.

Flareflor
Typing
: Fire/Grass
Abilities: Drought (Slush Rush)
Base Stats: 80/72/90/110/55/88 (495)
Notable Moves: Fire Blast, Solar Beam, Blizzard, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, Leech Seed, Growth, Energy Ball
Flavour/Design: A flower that enables itself to grow and live in mountains by being fiery. In a sense these mons create an oasis where non cold mons can survive in the cold.
Potential Competitive Role: SUN! The best sort of sun. One with grass. Too fast?! I'll nerf stats. We need more fire/grass! Praise the sun!

48 hours warning! As I said before, the submission review will be part of the veto phase.

There are pointers I want to mention though.

Name: Onix-Desvega
Typing: Rock/Ice
Ability: Clear Body/Weak Armor/Snow Cloak
Base Stats: 35 / 35 / 85 / 45 / 115 / 70 (385)
Notable Moves: Onix's movepool - Ground/ Steel type moves/Body Press/Sunny Day + Ice Shard, Diamond Storm, Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Dazzling Gleam, Hail
Height + Weight: 8.8 m + 210 kg
Flavour/Design: Bloody Crystal Onix.
(Use Ice Stone on Onix-Desvega)

Name: Benitonix (Benitoite + Onix)
Typing: Dragon/Ice
Ability: Clear Body/Sheer Force/Frost Cloak*
Base stats: 75 / 55 / 85 / 85 / 115 / 100 (510)
Notable Moves: Onix-Desvega's movepool + Icicle Spear, Mountain Gale, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Rush, Haze, Dragon Dance, Rock Polish, Blizzard, Chilling Water, Power Gem, Dragon Breath, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor.
Height + Weight: 10.5 m + 340 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Benitoite, the state gemstone of California, as well as Serpentine. Picture Mega Steelix without the orbiting debris and made of icy crystal with Alolan Golem facial hair.
*Frost Cloak: If hail/snow begins or if the Pokémon is sent out during hail/snow, sets up Aurora Veil on the allied field. (Could be distributed to other hail/snow focused mons later)
Potential Competitive Role: Aurora Veil support.
Name: Aleviar (Alevin/newly hatched fry that's still attached to the yolk sac + Caviar)
Typing: Water/Normal
Ability: Water Bubble / Infiltrator [HA]
Base Stats: 71 / 56 / 63 / 55 / 70 / 70 (379)
Height + Weight: 0.4 m + 1.0 kg
Flavour/Design: Based on roe, the eggs of fish such as trout. Design wise, picture Nemo's siblings if they were like Solosis. In the past, Aleviar were fed on by other Water-types such as Basculin and Dondozo, but these critters are the equivalent of roundworms, so if your Pokémon feel sick and aquaphobic, you'll want to take them to the Pokémon center to check if they've had some recently.
Potential Competitive Role: One of the bulkier options for Water- or Normal-types in LC; Water Bubble helps patch up its alright attacking stats for Water STAB.

(Lvl up Aleviar starting at lvl 24)
Name: Cuttrout (Cutthroat trout)
Typing: Water/Steel
Ability: Battle Tide($) / Infiltrator [HA]
Base Stats: 75 / 100 / 63 / 112 / 75 / 85 (510)
Notable Moves: Aqua Jet, Aqua Cutter, Aqua Tail, Wave Crash, Smart Strike, Iron Head, Metal Burst, Ice Fang, Sucker Punch, Throat Chop, Rapid Spin, Thrash, Brick Break, Close Combat, Brine, Surf, Hydro Pump, Flash Cannon, Steel Beam, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Final Gambit, Fillet Away, Autotomize, Focus Energy, Rain Dance.
Potential Competitive Role: Fillet Away is a Cuttrout option for hyper offense, with Battle Tide providing an boosting Immunity for physical sets while Infiltrator deems Subs and Screens void. Just hope that the Steel-type is enough to help you survive...
Name: Wapitini (Wapiti + tini/teenie)
Typing: Ice/Normal
Ability: Slush Rush/Snow Coat/Sheer Force
Base Stats: 80/50/50/50/50/60 (340)
Height + Weight: 0.8 m + 32.5 kg
Flavour/Design: Small elk calf with spiky nubs growing on its forehead and a snow moss coat around its back and hooves; Wapitini are distantly related with Deerling, though their adaptation of snowy tundras have given it a cold, aloof personality.

(Have Wapitini win a battle while Grassy Terrain is active)
Name: Arborelk (Arboretum + elk)
Typing: Ice/Grass
Ability: Slush Rush/Grass Pelt/Sheer Force
Base Stats: 100/80/70/80/70/80 (480)
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Mountain Gale, Grassy Glide, Firework Leaf($), Horn Leech, Leaf Blade, Body Slam, Double-Edge, Earthquake, High Jump Kick, Megahorn, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Giga Drain, Energy Ball, Leaf Storm, Chilling Water, Aromatherapy, Grassy Terrain, Leech Seed, Strength Sap, Aurora Veil, Mist, Hail, Rototiler*, Nature Power, Endure.

Typing: Ice/Psychic
Ability: Slush Rush/Fur Coat/Magic Bounce
Base Stats: 100/55/65/110/70/80 (480)
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Mountain Gale, Psyshield Bash, Zen Headbutt, Horn Leech, Double Edge, Body Press, High Jump Kick, Megahorn, Wild Charge, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Psyshock, Psychic Surf($), Expanding Force, Future Sight, Thunderbolt, Thunder, Earth Power, Dazzling Gleam, Field of Vision(!), Aurora Veil, Mist, Chilly Reception, Thunder Wave, Electrify, Psychic Terrain, Calm Mind, Reflect, Light Screen, Wish, Encore, Endure.
Height + Weight: 2.1 m + 600 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Roosevelt elk, Epithelk is a 'wise' elk that's best described as an enlightened mix between Sawsbuck and Wyrdeer with a pair of etheral antlers.
Potential Competitive Role: Put Epithelk on Psychic Terrain and you can hit swiftly with Psychic Surf or hard with Expanding Force; Fur Coat gives you better physical bulk, or you can use Magic Bounce to enable support.

(Have Wapitini faint from poison/bad poison damage while Poison Terrain is active)
Name: Elkrosis (Elk + Necrosis)
Typing: Ice/Poison
Ability: Slush Rush/Fluffy/Merciless
Base Stats: 80/105/80/55/60/100 (480)
Notable Moves: Ice Shard, Mountain Gale, Poison Fang, Toxic Shock*, Gunk Shot, Horn Leech, Body Slam, Double Edge, Axe Kick, Stomping Tantrum, Megahorn, Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Clear Smog, Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Freeze Dry, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Snarl, Dark Pulse, Toxic Snowball(!), Haze, Mist, Hail, Poison Terrain, Poison Gas, Venom Drench, Hone Claws, Endure.
Height + Weight: 1.6 m + 312.5 kg
Flavor/Design: Based on Roosevelt elk, suffering from illnesses such as chronic wasting disease & elf hoof diesease; as well as zombies. Elkrosis is a rabid elk with a coat of lichen and withered decaying antlers, while its hooves are badly deformed from frostbite, giving it a lame gait. A rare evolution of Wapitini and only found recently outside the wild, Elkrosis are easily aggravated and appear to be plagued by a sickness no one can identify.
...Perhaps a higher power was the cause?
*Toxic Shock: Base 70, 95% Physical contactless Poison move that has a 30% chance to badly poison. If the target is affected by Poison Terrain upon the move's execution, this move always crits. (Can be distributed to other Poison Terrain benefactors)
You’d want to point out what does Battle Tide do even if it is from a previous iteration. Let me put it for anyone else to see for now; ”This Pokemon's Attack goes up by 1 stage when hit by a Water-type move; Water immunity”

This goes for future submissions that uses any Ability from either Brazdo or Loria. This is to ensure that not everyone have to go check what those Abilities does every single time.

:Dracovish:
Name: Fishyvish
Typing: Water
Ability: Fish Out Of Water
Base Stats: 90 / 90 / 90 / 80 / 90 / 85 (525)
Notable Moves: Fishous Rend (under the one condition that it’s PP is changed to 5), Hydro Pump, Liquidation, Surf, Waterfall, Ancient Power, Body Slam, Crunch, Earth Power, Earthquake, Facade, Iron Head, Outrage, Psychic Fangs, Rock Slide, Stone Edge, Zen Headbutt

:Tapu-Bulu:
Name: Triki
Typing: Psychic
Ability: Levitate / Melodic Mind
Base Stats: 90 / 55 / 70 / 115 / 120 / 65 (515)
Notable Moves: Baroque Barrage, Calm Mind, Light Screen, Reflect, Psychic, Psyshock, Trick, Trick Room, Earth Power, Grass Knot, Giga Drain, Wood Hammer, Heat Wave, Hex, Hyper Voice, Yawn, Rapid Spin, U-Turn, Nasty Plot, Taunt, Super Fang, Slack Off
Height + Weight: 1.5 m, 315 kg

:Bruxish:
Name: Bruxidoro
Typing: Water / Psychic
Ability: Dazzling / Strong Jaw / Magic Guard
Base Stats: 78 / 125 / 70 / 75 / 75 / 107 (530)
Notable Moves: Aqua Jet, Bulk Up, Crunch, Facade, Hydro Pump, Ice Fang, Liquidation, Psychic, Psychic Fangs, Swords Dance, Taunt, Waterfall, Wave Crash, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Close Combat

I will accept the change on Fisheous Rend’s PP nerf, but it will also apply to Bolt Beak due to their same functionality (double BP if moved before target or if target switched in), ensuring consistency between the two.

Name: Desvegan Gulpin
Evolution(s): Desvegan Swalot (Level-up to level 26)
Type: Poison/Ice
Base Stats: 80 HP / 53 Atk / 43 Def / 53 Sp.Atk / 43 Sp.Def / 30 Speed (302 BST)
Abilities: Fur Coat / Sticky Hold // Gluttony
Moves: (Similar to Hoennian Gulpin's - Sunny Day, Fire Punch, Solar Beam) + Icy Wind, Freeze Dry, Blizzard, Snowscape, Icicle Spear, Avalanche, Aurora Veil, Frost Breath, Corrosive Gas
Design: Gulpin covered in shaggy, white fur, its crest is now blue and is more like an icicle.
Competitive Usage: Potentially a bulky LC Pokemon with item removal capabilities and good abilities. Its typing is also very unique.

Name: Desvegan Swalot
Evolution(s): Moufful (Use an Ice Stone)
Type: Poison/Ice
Base Stats: 110 HP / 83 Atk / 73 Def / 83 Sp.Atk / 73 Sp.Def / 45 Speed (467 BST)
Abilities: Fur Coat / Sticky Hold // Gluttony
Moves: (Similar to Hoennian Swalot's - Sunny Day, Fire Punch, Solar Beam) + Desvegan Gulpin's + Icicle Crash, Ice Spinner, Chilling Water
Design: Swalot covered in shaggy, white fur. Its whiskers are blue and are like icicles.
Competitive Usage: An eviolite Pokemon that can use set up moves like Swords Dance, Curse or Acid Armor and great coverage to be a strong offensive Pokemon. It can also use its unique defensive type and Fur Coat to tank huge neutral(and even some super-effective) hits.

Name: Moufful (Corruption of "Mouthful")
Type: Poison/Ice
Base Stats: 130 HP / 103 Atk / 73 Def / 93 Sp.Atk / 78 Sp.Def / 50 Speed (527 BST)
Abilities: Fur Coat / Sticky Hold // Appetizer
Moves: Desvegan Swalot + Haze, Roar, Noble Roar, Surf, Hydro Pump, Waterfall, Liquidation, Aqua Tail, Hurricane, Thunderbolt, Dragon Tail
Design: An even larger, lumbering version of Desvegan Swalot. Almost slug-like in body shape. It now how 6 whiskers instead of Swalot's 2, its eyes are also now obscured by fur. It also has a non-prehensile tail that is covered in fur.
Competitive Usage: A solid tank Pokemon. It can deal out huge damage with its solid offensive stats and coverage while remaining incredibly bulky with Fur Coat. It can also be more supportive for its team with Toxic Spikes, Corrosive Gas, and other moves from Swalot's movepool. In addition, Sticky Hold can let it set up in peace without worrying about Knock Off item removal or Trick/Switcheroo. And Appetizer its signature ability allows it to increase its bulk and gain a semi-reliable recovery move in Swallow.

At the end of each turn attempts to stockpile 1. Caps at 3 stacks like regular stockpile.

Veto phase time! I do not recommend to add new submissions by then, as it focuses on completing WIP submisisons and fixing potentially concerning ones.
:persian: :terrakion:
Name: Pumentum (puma + momentum)
Type:

Abilities: Slush Rush, Solid Rock, Adaptability
Stats: 85 | 100 | 90 | 55 | 70 | 115 [BST= 515]
Notable Moves: Accelerock, Close Combat, Drain Punch, Icicle Crash, Iron Head, Stealth Rock, Stone Edge, Sucker Punch, Swords Dance, U-turn
Competitive Role: Fast SDancer / budget Terrakion.

Name: Kitnetic (kitten + kinetic)
Type:

Abilities: Slush Rush, Solid Rock, Adaptability
Stats: 55 | 70 | 60 | 40 | 50 | 75 [BST= 350]
Competitive Role: lc

Flavor: Based on pumas, mountain lions, cougars... whatever you call them. Body is covered in dust and rocks. Kitnetics and Pumentums live in the mountain regions of Desvega, using slopes to build momentum and more effectively ambush prey.
Evolution Tree: Kitnetic -(level 40)> Pumentum
Pumentum would have almost no answers as Adaptability allows it to hit harder than Terrakion, especially with Adaptability Accelerock. I recommend to replace the Ability with a less strong one; Kitnetic may or may not keep it.
Slushislushi
Typing
: Ground/Ice
Abilities: Schooling
Base Stats: Same as Washiwashi but with -30 SpAtk transferred +30 HP.
Schooling might be difficult to implement for this Convergent, as the increased HP from Solo to Schooling never happened to the original Wishiwashi. It might be better off as a different signature Ability that do take increased base HP into account, akin to Power Construct, but with the same activation as Schooling. The alternative is to modify Schooling’s coding to take increased base HP into consideration by “fully healing the user’s HP” in all but name.

You have 24 hours to modify your submissions to be more bearable / functions without too much hassle with modified base HP between forms respectively.
