Samtendo09
Ability: Light Power
Pikachu, but it’s actually a small cat
Jumpin’ Jerboa!
Painting Bunting
Original Species: Pichu (convergant)
Name: Pichat (Pichu + chat [French for cat])
Typing:
Abilities: Rattled | Dry Skin
Base Stats: 20 HP / 45 Atk / 20 Def / 30 SpA / 30 SpD / 60 Spe (205 BST)
Notable Moves: Flamethrower, Earth Power, Dig, Nasty Plot, Agility, Crunch, Bounce, Drift
Height + Weight: 0.3 m / 5 kg
Flavour/Design: This Pokémon isn’t initially native to Desvega; several of these species were brought in zoos from a faraway region. Despite their resemblance to Pichu, their black feet, fiery orange body, rounder ears and especially incapable of using most Electric-type moves had immediately give away that it is, in fact, a completely different Pokémon.
Evolution: Pikachat (Level 15 or higher)
Original Species: Pikachu (convergant)
Name: Pikachat (Pikachu + chat [French for cat])
Typing:
Abilities: Defiant | Dry Skin
Base Stats: 35 HP / 75 Atk / 40 Def / 40 SpA / 40 SpD / 90 Spe (320 BST)
Notable Moves: Flamethrower, Flare Blitz, Fire Punch, Earth Power, Dig, Nasty Plot, Agility, Crunch, Bounce, Will-o-Wisp, Drift
Height + Weight: 0.4 m / 16 kg
Flavour/Design: Despite their small size, they are brave and hardy predators, capable of hunting anything smaller than it. It also have a tendency to take most of their prey’s moisture, as well as drinking plenty of water, due to being used to living in dry deserts. Their orange fur help it circulate heat, and their red cheeks allows them to unleash powerful flames.
Evolution: Raichat (Fire Stone)
Original Species: Raichu (convergant)
Name: Raichat (Raichu + chat [French for cat])
Typing:
Abilities: Defiant | Dry Skin
Base Stats: 65 HP / 100 Atk / 55 Def / 80 SpA / 55 SpD / 130 Spe (485 BST)
Notable Moves: Flamethrower, Earth Power, Flare Blitz, Fire Punch, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Dig, Nasty Plot, Agility, Crunch, Bounce, Jump Kick, Will-o-Wisp, Drift*
Height + Weight: 0.7 m / 50 kg
Flavour/Design: Having the highest success among feline predators, Raichat is feared by their prey due to it’s agility and powerful strikes. With it’s fire red fur, powerful legs, and deceively cute appearance, Raichat is mistaken for an innocuous cat-like Pokémon until provoked or on the hunt. Anything that moves, is it’s potential meal.
Custom Element: Drift
In-Game Theory: Unlike the Pikachu line, the Pikachat line is more specialized in comparison, sacrifying Special Attack for more balanced (but still poor) bulk, better Attack and, in Raichat’s case, larger speed. Pichat’s evolution requirement also means it will evolve into Pikachat pretty soon, making it immediately more useful and introduces the concept of evolution for the newcomers… and even introduces them how Stone-based Evolutions works as it evolve further into something much more useful in the form of Raichat once they get their hands on a Fire Stone.
Competitive Potentials: Frail but very fast setup or Choice Band sweeper, with potent Fire / Ground STAB. Defiant is more for Intimidate / Defog bait, while Dry Skin eliminate the crippling Water-type weakness, though it’s frailty remains a problem.

Category:
Base Points: 70
Power Points: 20
Accuracy: 100%
Miscellaneous: None (not even contact)
Effect: If this move hits, the user automatically switches out, and the player can select the replacing Pokémon to switch-in.
Distribution: Pichat line, Flareon, Tepig line, Pansear line, Heatmor, Litleo line, Turtonator, Sizzlipede line, Caspalid line
Reasoning: I intend to give Pichat line just U-Turn but then Dislac suggested me to go for a Fire U-Turn since anything that is immune to Fire Moves do not want to get hit by Earthquake, so here we go. Other Pokémon, particularly the decently fast Simisear and Pyroar, can use it as a pivoting move as well.

Name: Jumpoa (Jump + jerboa)
Typing:
Abilities: Unresting (!) / Sap Sipper | Sand Rush
Base Stats: 32 HP / 55 Atk / 31 Def / 32 SpA / 31 SpD / 73 Spe (254 BST)
Notable Moves: Rock Slide, Quick Attack, Crunch, Seed Bomb, Swords Dance, Zen Headbutt, Dig, Bounce
Height + Weight: 0.3 m / 3 kg
Flavour/Design: A brown jerboa Pokémon with long ears and a longer tail, with the tuff of the tail being very fluffy. Oftentimes restless and carefree, Jumpoa moves quickly by hopping in quick succession, and can survive a 100 meters fall thanks to their rocky hide and durable feet.
Evolution: Jerboing (Level 18 or higher)
Custom Element:
Ability Name: Unresting
Effect: The Pokémon skips the charging or recharging phase of the moves. (I.e. Solar Beam, Bounce, Dig, Giga Impact, Rock Wrecker) Focus Punch and similar moves aren’t affected.
Distribution: Jumpoa line, Nincada + Ninjask (new other Ability), Lickitung line (over Own Tempo), Skiddo line (new other Ability)
Name: Jerboing (Jerboa + boing)
Typing:
Abilities: Unresting (!) / Sap Sipper | Sand Rush
Base Stats: 62 HP / 95 Atk / 61 Def / 52 SpA / 61 SpD / 113 Spe (444 BST)
Notable Moves: Giga Impact, Bounce, Quick Attack, Crunch, Seed Bomb, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Dig (in Doubles formats), Helping Hand, Sandstorm, Zen Headbutt, High Jump Kick, U-Turn, Rock Slide, Stone Edge
Height + Weight: 0.6 m / 11 kg
Flavour/Design: Much longer tail and more developped feet. Worrisome and constantly on the move, it searches for plants with high moisture before returning to their drier territory. Despite their small strature, their feet are powerful, and can break a large boulder in a single kick. Wild Jerboing will only fight if cornered.
In-Game Theory: Although unassuming at first due to poor defensive typing and low BST, the Jumpoa line can do it’s job deceptively well if having access to Unresting and given the right moves. Bounce in particular give it access to a semi-consistent Flying coverage that also have a decent chance of Paralyzing their opponent. Although it’s low stats except Attack and Speed would let it down in later part of the game, it can be given Giga Impact for a devastating Normal STAB.
Competitive Potentials: As it wasn’t intended for anything higher than NU, it does hold a niche of a very powerful near-drawback-free STAB, namely Giga Impact, via Unresting. This allows Jerboing to dismantle anything that don’t resist Normal STAB or immune to it, and it’s coverage like Crunch and Earthquake allows it to hit Ghost, Steel and Rock anyways. It’s defensive typing and poor bulk in general hold it back.

Name: Paintweet (Paint + tweet)
Typing:
Abilities: Sap Sipper / Trace | Early Bird
Base Stats: 42 HP / 43 Atk / 35 Def / 60 SpA / 35 SpD / 55 Spe (270 BST)
Notable Moves: U-Turn, Hurricane, Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast, Calm Mind, Defog, Tailwind, Surf, Doodle, Vacuum Wave
Height + Weight: 0.6 m / 7 kg
Flavour/Design: A green bird Pokémon with a blue head, with patterns shaping like paint strokes on their plumage. They use their paint-like liquid to mark a pattern on their nest, and the pattern differs from flock to flock of Paintweet.
Evolution: Buntist (Level 18 or higher)
Name: Buntaint (Bunting + taint)
Typing:
Abilities: Sap Sipper / Trace | No Guard
Base Stats: 72 HP / 53 Atk / 57 Def / 105 SpA / 75 SpD / 103 Spe (465 BST)
Notable Moves: U-Turn, Hurricane, Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast, Calm Mind, Defog, Tailwind, Surf, Doodle, Vacuum Wave, Hydro Pump
Height + Weight: 1.2 m / 17 kg
Flavour/Design: Making a pun out of “paint fight”, which involve a friendly war by slinging paint at each others. Male Buntist have more colorful plumage with red, green and blue, while female‘s body and head remained green and blue respectively. Buntist‘s paint is easily removed by water, which is convenient as it allows them to participate on “paint war” to see which flock is allowed to stay in their territory; the first flock who got paint on their plumage must leave.
In-Game Theory: Possessing a rare niche of special attacking Fighting-type upon fully evolving, Paintweet also provide an early route special attacker, especially if the player haven’t picked a special-oriented starter. Both Sap Sipper and Trace have their uses in-game; Sap Sipper to deal with Grass moves and avoid Spore, while Trace can be useful to scout for wild Pokémon’s Ability or to mess with the NPC opponent’s strategy, such as copying Intimidate. If the player managed to get their hand on an Ability Patch, then No Guard Buntaint will be a powerhouse in it’s own right thanks to Focus Blast and Hurricane.
Competitive Potentials: With No Guard Focus Blast + Hurricane, Buntaint serves as a rare special wallbreaker of a Fighting-type, with Hydro Pump or Dazzling Gleam serving as coverage. Vacuum Wave can be used as a revenge killer tool regardless of Buntaint’s Ability. Trace is situational, but Buntaint’s average speed allows it to scout ahead and even exploit their opponent’s own Ability if played right, such as Sand Rush / Slush Rush against a weather team, or making counter-Intimidate.
