This thread will contain information regarding the tournament and auction format, managers and their teams, rosters, and schedule. Decisions and announcements will also be communicated here. This year's ZUPL will be hosted by Merritt.

Tournament Rules and General Guidelines

Important rules:

• Managers can have one Assistant Manager each.
• Each team is allowed two retains from last ZUPL's respective rosters (for new teams, a old roster will be assigned to them).
• Retain price is (last ZUPL price) + 3k, with a minimum price of 10k, and a markup of 3k for every successful year retained.
• Managers are allowed to buy themselves as players for 12.5k + differential (if positive/played in last ZUPL).
• Each team will have a minimum of 10 players (eight starters and two subs). Starting budget is 100k.
• Players may not be traded at any point.

It has been determined that s1nn0hc0nfirm3d's behavior was unsportsmanlike in that it attempted to deceive the managers in his signup post, and he will receive a 2-point infraction for it for how blatant he was in the attempt, but as he never made claims about his playing availability we deem it inappropriate to take action within the scope of ZUPL.

With new evidence come to light and S1nn0hC0nfirm3d's behavior in how blatant it made it look behind his pricefix attempt, nor to mention the repeated shitposting behind it that never stopped, the hosts deem necessary to exclude s1nn0hc0nfirm3d from the current ZUPL, and ban him from joining the next ZUPL, ZUPL VI.

The To Pimp A Butterfree are eligible for a replacement from the undrafted pool, which can play starting Week 2.

After discussion with ZU TLs, DurzaOffTopic was infracted for harassment of the hosts and leaking the manager chat during discourse regarding the recent sellback decision.

As such, he will not be managing this ZUPL and is banned from managing in the next ZUPL, ZUPL VI. BaitWiz will assume the manager duties of the Fiery Flamencos from this point forward, and can promote a co-manager from the team to replace Durza.

just for some clarification on this, DurzaOffTopic is still allowed to participate as a player in the next iteration (zupl VI), he is just unable to manage. his disagreement with the situation at hand was perfectly acceptable and valid, but his behavior towards the hosts and myself was unsportsmanlike and not becoming of someone we want to have in a managerial position for this tour.

for those asking for the specifics, durza is on record on multiple occasions insulting xayah and lalaya and their ability to host the tour. whether or not he agreed with their decisions, the manners by which he did so were inappropriate and abrasive.

regarding the leaks: durza shared multiple screenshots from the private zupl managers channel with the larger, general tours discussion chat as the conversations were ongoing.

The decision to remove Durza as a manager for the ongoing and subsequent iterations of ZUPL (V and VI respectively) underwent a second review by the ZU Leaders and will be reversed, effective immediately. They will return to manage the Fiery Flamencos alongside BaitWiz. In hindsight, his behavior, does not justify the extent to which he was punished resulting in his removal and exclusion from his manager position.

We apologize for the disruption the recent decisions have caused to the tour and hope that things can proceed smoothly moving forward.

Finchinator and his teammate pinged opposing managers 5/6 minutes after the scheduled time and got a response from one of the Shiinotic managers. Unfortunately, they did not provide a substitute until more than 30 minutes had passed since the ping, and as Finchinator had provided clear notice that he would be leaving at the 30 minute mark he is given the activity win.

They scheduled for after the deadline, and while tko made an attempt to play right before deadline, Fragments was unable to play before the time they scheduled. Dead game.
