Noivern is one of the best Pokemon in UU; its great Speed tier makes it one of the fastest unboosted Pokemon and great versus offense teams. Its Speed, great typing, coverage, and reliable recovery let it check threats like Roserade, Machamp, and Cobalion. Noivern's moveset is very customizable depending on what it needs to check; pairing Draco Meteor and Flamethrower lets it check Heliolisk, Rotom-W, and Escavalier, while using Hurricane and U-turn lets it check Araquanid and pivot against checks like Gigalith. Taunt lets Noivern beat Mantine and punish switch-ins like Sylveon, Milotic, and Gigalith. Teammates like Roserade and Machamp can break through Noivern's checks like Gigalith, Sylveon, and Milotic and appreciate U-turn support. Roserade and Golisopod can set Spikes to chip such switch-ins; Golisopod can also check faster Pokemon like Dragon Dance Haxorus and Necrozma that Noivern cannot. Rotom-W can switch into Gigalith and Rhyperior and bring Noivern in on Grass-types like Celebi and Roserade while potentially providing Defog support.
