Ed, Edd(Double D), Eddy after the great cartoon networks series
Sure, go for it.I actually have two ideas. Let me know if I'm allowed to submit dual sets of names? Here's one.
Articuno - Valefor (the bird aeon of FFX)
Zapdos - Quezacoatl (The lightning-element Guardian Force of FF8, which is literally a thunderbird)
Moltres - Palidor (a bird Esper from FF6)
Zapdos: SusannoHistory:was the Greek god of the cold north wind and the bringer of winter. His name meant "North Wind" or "Devouring One". Boreas is depicted as being very strong, with a violent temper to match. He was frequently shown as a winged old man with shaggy hair and beard, holding a conch shell and wearing a billowing cloak.
Why?:this was the most dificult to chose the idea is right there didnt want to use an ice god instead a "wind" deidity with the cold element even doe the description sound wierd ¬¬
Moltres: AkituHistory:In Japanese mythology, Susanoo,is the Shinto god of the sea and storms. He is also considered to be ruler of Yomi. the powerful storm of Summer, is the brother of Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, and of Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon. All three were spawned from Izanagi, when he washed his face clean of the pollutants of Yomi, the underworld. Amaterasu was born when Izanagi washed out his left eye, Tsukuyomi was born from the washing of the right eye, and Susanoo from the washing of the nose.
Why?:japanese, part of a legendary trio, with the atribute of lightning, and since zapdos lives in thunderclouds... just think about it XD
All info from the God of Enciclopedia (guess who....) also the articuno ...tecnically are 3 nicks but the first is his Greek name and Aquilo or Aquilon is just his roman Equivalent the "n" is just aesthetic up to iread u can post up to 2 nicksHistory
was a spring festival in ancient Mesopotamia. The name is from the Sumerian for "barley", originally marking two festivals celebrating the beginning of each of the two half-years of the Sumerian calendar, marking the sowing of barley in autumn and the cutting of barley in spring, in the month of Nisannu (Aries).
Why?
well... moltres apart that this fire bird is legendary according to the poke dex:It is said that its appearance indicates the coming of spring.
this was the main reason because saying a God of fire name sound too clichè
