Non-Pokébank OU Team Sheva-Epsilon

CUTEST SPIDER EVER (Araquanid) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Bubble
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Leech Life
- Toxic/Rest
- Protect/Sleep Talk

> Tanks incoming fire attacks and Scald
> Toxic is mainly used as a suicide attack, or when a switch to something Liquidation can't handle is predicted.
> Leech Life is mainly for Greninja, and the odd non-Tapu Psychic.
> RestTalk in the last two slots works against Toxapex (at least once any counters to CSE are taken out), but not really on other foe.
> Liquidation+Water Bubble has sufficient oomph to alleviate somewhat the detriment of predicting incorrectly.
> Is cutest spider ever.

Sasson (Tapu Bulu) @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 6 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Horn Leech
- Megahorn
- Nature's Madness

> Absorbs the Spores from the Smeargle I keep running into
> Secondary choice for electric-switchins if Ood is taken out.
> Generally OHKOS or forces out the other Tapus.
> Wood Hammer does significant damage even on resisted hits, as long as foe is not Celesteela.
> Horn Leech does similarly sufficient damage to be a relatively safe guess.
> Nature's Madness is exactly for predicted Celesteela switch-ins.
> Can soak up damage from some non-resisted attacks, make it back between the grass and Horn Leech.
> I find that I rarely, if ever, use Megahorn, but have not found a better filler.
> Is rejoicing.

Kohelet (Nihilego) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 80 HP / 172 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic Spikes
- Power Gem
- Sludge Bomb

> Hazard Setter. I generally aim for rocks, Toxic Spikes is only set up when a) I am reasonably sure that I can get off two moves and b) my opponent has neither a poison type nor a de-hazarder.
> Power Gem 2HKOs the common taunters I've been running into (mainly Lycanroc and Frosslass), a succesful Taunt prediction can eliminate said 'mon early on for no cost.
> Sludge Bomb 2HKOs some of the Defoggers (Tapu Fini)
> In rare cases, can take out a couple of foes (really only if my opponent predicts poorly).
> Keep alive if possible to absorb opponent's Toxic Spikes if there is a credible threat from the team preview.
> Sounds as nihilistic as Ecclesiastes can be taken to be.

Arianna (Celesteela) @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Flash Cannon
- Leech Seed
- Protect

> Steel/Flying type for defensive switching. In particular, takes Ground for Ood and Kohelet, takes the neutral Rock type reasonably well. I often switch her into predicted Toxics as well.
> Leech Seed + Protect can be sufficient to take out foes whose preferred counters have ben taken out, as well as general whittling.
> If she is taken out early, I tend to lose...
> Is rocket ship

Greninja-Ash @ Life Orb
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Water Shuriken
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Extrasensory

> Priority. Only real way to deal with threats such as a shell smashed Minior.
> I don't run a Water STAB other than WS, I find that I need the Psychic-type move far more often than a high BP Water STAB.
> I try to avoid risking him, I have excellent immune or double-resistant switch-in for all of his weaknesses.
> Needs a name.

Ood (Marowak-Alola) @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Shadow Bone
- Earthquake
- Flame Charge
- Flare Blitz

> Electric Immunity. Bait out electrics (particularly choiced ones) with CSE or Arianna, get off a free hit.
> When possible, I try to get off a Flame Charge. If the faster threats have been eliminated (or are only a scarfed mon that was just locked into an electric move), I can set up a sweep. Flame Charge is sufficient to OHKO some Celesteela after Rocks, and 2HKO any of them. Flare Blitz is held in reserve for greater threats that FC won't get rid of, mainly neutral hits.
> Can't say it enough, Lightningrod's a lifesaver.
> Holds a firebrand.

General Notes:

> I lead with Nihilego to set hazards, if there is an likely lead in their team, I might instead lead my own counter to that first, for example, leading with Greninja given that there is a Lycanroc or a Minior.
> CSE/Sasson/Ood form the WFG core. Sasson into Ood gives him a small recovery in some instances.
> I realize as I'm writing this that I need to autoanalyze my strategy quite a lot more to put words to what I'm trying to think 0-0
> Team name is reflective of standardized team-naming system prior to formation of proven named teams.
