[SET COMMENTS]
By virtue of its great bulk and defensive typing, Metagross makes for great entry hazard support for Psychic teams, dealing well with common hazard controllers like Hatterene and Tentacruel. Psychic Fangs threatens the aforementioned Tentacruel as well as other Poison- and Fighting-types such as Sneasler and Okidogi; it also eases the Fairy and Ice matchups due to breaking dual screens. Knock Off threatens Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gholdengo, Brambleghast, and Indeedee while also removing items from foes that are reliant on them like Heavy-Duty Boots from Dragonite and Leftovers from Corviknight. Bullet Punch can be run over Psychic Fangs or Knock Off to revenge kill faster threats such as Iron Valiant, Flutter Mane, and Chien-Pao. However, most of Metagross's teammates provide great speed control, and running a second Steel-type STAB move on Metagross restricts its number of potential targets. Heavy Slam threatens Fairy- and Ice-types such as Hatterene, Alolan Ninetales, and Articuno. 96 Speed EVs allow Metagross to outspeed Adamant Azumarill.

Wallbreakers such as Choice Band Hoopa-U and Choice Specs Latios appreciate Metagross setting entry hazards to help them wallbreak. Hoopa-U also takes on Dark-, Ghost-, and Steel-types such as specially defensive Ting-Lu, Gholdengo, Heatran, and Hisuian Goodra, while Latios provides a Ground immunity and handles Steel- and Ground-types like Archaludon, Corviknight, Gliscor, and Great Tusk. Deoxys-S forms a hazard-stacking core with Metagross thanks to Spikes, appreciating it running Stealth Rock so it can run another utility option such as Taunt. Hatterene is a potential wincon for Psychic teams that appreciates entry hazards wearing down incoming foes such as Choice Band Dragonite and Choice Scarf Enamorus, and it is a useful asset in the Dark and Dragon matchups to deal with threats such as Sableye, Hydreigon, Garchomp, and Raging Bolt. Additionally, Hatterene provides hazard control thanks to Magic Bounce. Choice Scarf Latias appreciates Metagross taking out Fairy-types like Hatterene and Iron Valiant, and in return, it provides a Ground immunity to switch into and deal with Great Tusk and Landorus, as well as Choice-locking walls like Ting-Lu and Corviknight by giving them its Choice Scarf with Trick. Lastly, late-game sweepers such as Agility Iron Crown, Agility Gallade, and Choice Scarf Iron Boulder appreciate Metagross setting entry hazards, weakening walls with Knock Off, and revenge killing boosted sweepers with Bullet Punch to start a sweep of their own. Additionally, Iron Boulder threatens the likes of Ogerpon-H, Hisuian Arcanine, Volcarona, and Meowscarada.

Psychic Fangs threatens the aforementioned Tentacruel, as well as other Poison- and Fighting-types such as Sneasler, Okidogi, and Breloom. [Mention Psychic Fangs easing the Fairy and Ice matchup due to breaking screens in the process.] Knock Off threatens Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gholdengo, Brambleghast, and Indeedee; while also removing items from holders that are reliant on them like Heavy-Duty Boots from Dragonite and Leftovers from Corviknight Gouging Fire. Psychic Fangs threatens the aforementioned Tentacruel, as well as other Poison- and Fighting-types such as Sneasler, Okidogi, and Breloom idk how i feel about the breloom mention cuz this spread doesnt outspeed breloom, meaning it can sleep you if it gets in vs you safely, up to you if you want to remove it, just wanted to mention it; and it also eases the Fairy and Ice matchups due to it breaking screens. Knock Off threatens Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gholdengo, Brambleghast, and Indeedee; while also removing items from holders that are reliant on them like Heavy-Duty Boots from Dragonite and Leftovers from Corviknight. Psychic Fangs threatens the aforementioned Tentacruel, as well as other Poison- and Fighting-types such as Sneasler and Okidogi; and it also eases the Fairy and Ice matchups due to it breaking screens and Aurora Veil. Knock Off threatens Ghost- and Psychic- (RH) types such as Gholdengo,(RC) and Brambleghast, and Indeedee; while also removing items from holders that are reliant on them like Heavy-Duty Boots from Dragonite and Leftovers from Corviknight. (I don’t think mentioning Psychic types would be ideal here since Metagross can resist and KO a majority of Psychic-type Pokemon already. Let alone, Psychic moves.) Bullet Punch can be run over both Psychic Fangs and Knock Off to revenge kill faster threats such as Iron Valiant, Flutter Mane, and Chien-Pao.
