Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-349260936

Another one of "those" AG battles. Stuff coming shortly. Stuff here.

(Both) No items on anything, except right's Arceus (turned out to be a Splash Plate) and Absol (possible Absolite, but it didn't use it).
(L) Murkrow.
(R) Magikarp (enough with this meme already) and Sunflora.
(L) Torrent Greninja with an unidentified Hidden Power.
(R) Xerneas with Focus Blast, Close Combat, and Flash Cannon.
(L) Slurpuff with its own Hidden Power. I would also point out Dazzling Gleam, but it doesn't get Moonblast, for some reason.
(L) Aegislash doing all of 17% to Rayquaza with Gyro Ball. Later, it used HP Electric on it.
(L) Extreme Speed+Seismic Toss Togekiss.
(R) Mega Rayquaza using Draco Meteor and Earthquake on said Togekiss.
(R) Absol with Double-Edge and Fire Blast.
(R) Arceus-Water with Aqua Tail, against Ferrothorn.
(L) Ferrothorn responding to that with Gyro Ball, doing marginally better than Aegislash did. Later, it managed to catch Megaray on the switch with... Poison Jab.
(L) Shadow Ball Murkrow (#DarkIsNotGhost) against Absol. It did force it out and took out Magikarp before Sunflora finished it (and the battle) off with Leaf Storm.

Holy shit. EVERYTHING was dumb here. From the chat to the teams to the plays and with a result that leaves everyone hanging on the edge of their chairs.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me show you 21 turns of hax in Monotype.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-348973042
This is the most unlucky I've gotten in a while; it's right up there with the Mega Sableye going about 25 turns with no full para (don't have the replay, sorry).
Enjoy!!
Edit: It happened again. Looks like a normal Monotype match in my favor, but then Galvantula comes in.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-348976833
Not as crazy as the first one, but I hope you enjoy my misfortune.
You obviously haven't seen my FtL replay full of pure hax. It may not have lasted as long...but it most definitely mattered more.

Since I'm too lazy to get that replay, how about some modern replays from the low ladder?
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350048181
I'll let you guys handle the description.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350049251
Careful to not be outdone, we have the careless switching of Mega Steelix into a Shedinja and Simple Dragon Dance Mega Garchomp.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350055328
Can you tell me how stupid this is, because I don't think I can count that high.

(R): Avalugg outside of PU/NU
(L): V-Create without Contrary (more of a nitpick but whatever)
(R): Giga Impact Mega Pidgeot
(L): Close Combat without Contrary
(R): Hitmontop. With Aerial Ace.
(R): Pidgeot revealed to be physical
(R): Frost Breath Articuno
(R): Using U-Turn with nobody to switch to (unless U-Turn and Giga Impact were its only two moves)

In fact left's team was OK, Contrary is very overrated in BH and Close Combat and V-create definitely have uses aside from Contrary sets.
Sorry if it sounds a bit harsh lol

Especially on Mold Breaker sets.

Okay, I started to just dick around on AG low ladder with Scarfed OHKO teams for laughs, and these are the battles I got.

Today is my birthday, but I have a gift for all of you: more replays to laugh at.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350374984
A team of what I'm assuming to be all Belly Drum Slurpuff. Only got 2 kills before the opponent forfeited, though. Which is a shame, because I kinda wanted to see what his team was.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350372475
MMX vs. the world. The world had Foul Play Zoroark (which might have worked had it done more than 57%) and SD+U-turn Gliscor.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350371885
Power-Up Punch+Toxic Nidoking without Sheer Force, Hydro Pump Gyarados, a bunch of type chart failures, and more.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350370743
Left's team is relatively normal, but right has a pair of dual screens+Safeguard+Memento Latios and some bad luck with Darkrai.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/monotype-350372798
Marshtomp, anyone?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-350373903
Trick+Curse+Protect Flame Orb Chandelure vs. Protect+Magic Coat+Mirror Coat Rocky Helmet Deoxys-D.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350372092
Doublade 1, Primal Groudon 0.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350370167
A bunch of shitmons, including Luvdisc, which did 18% to (non-mega) Venusaur with Ice Beam.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350371595
Non-mega Hyper Voice Gardevoir, Typhlosion, and saying "gg" on turn 5 but the battle didn't end until turn 14.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350365736
Ferroseed. And it comes in on Victini's V-Create, making it kill itself and get the win.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350379773
Espeon sweep, caused by Klefki trying, and failing, to muscle its way through with an unboosted Foul Play.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350378330
Shadow Ball Zoroark, and a physical Greninja putting in work.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350372587
SSB team, and a bad one, narowly loses.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350379863
Torrent Greninja finds out the hard way that Espeon has Magic Bounce.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350378227
Mono Rayquaza loses. Oh fug.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350382418
Speaking of "oh fug", this Rayquaza team actually wins thanks to the bullshit wonders of full BP.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350380564
Final Gambit Shuckle. That is all.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-350382464
Now this is how you use Cherrim.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/pandora-1v1-3634512
Garchomp channels its inner Jirachi.

Edit: For those of you who will be celebrating it, happy Easter.

For one, happiest of birthdays to michaeloche, who has done so much to make this thread what it is. Anyway, I see an "and more", so let's hop on it.

Power-Up Punch+Toxic Nidoking without Sheer Force, Hydro Pump Gyarados, a bunch of type chart failures, and more.
(L) To be fair, we've all done this Toxic-on-the-obvious-switch-except-they-don't-actually-switch. That said, this is Nidoking, which has better things to do than play defensively.
(R) Rain Dance Magnezone. Magnezone also has better things to do than set rain, although it at least has Thunder. Also has Tri-Attack, which is alright for in-game usage because its movepool really sucks, but still.
(R) Using Thunder on a Ground.
(L) Signal Beam normal Ampharos. What are you hitting, Whimsicott?
(L) Protect/Acro Crobat, for some reason. If you're going to use offensive Crobat, you might as well go all-in.
(R) Chandelure sent in to revenge Gengar. How'd that work out for you?
(L) Gengar is put to a max-turn sleep and killed by Giga Drain. Yeesh.
(L) Rock Slide/Dragon Rush Dragonite, which catches Gyarados coming in with a Rock Slide and crits it. Oh, and it tries to set up on Gardevoir while taking over half from Psychic. Speaking of which...
(R) Gardevoir with apparently no Fairy STAB. And it's Synchronize, which at least helps when Leafeon Toxics it.
(L) Using Dragon Rush on a Fairy.

New batch for ya:

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350571915
Huh. Those sets...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350573501
Darkrai, meet Diancie. I should not be seeing this at 1400+ Elo...

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350575957
Nor this.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350581094
Interesting team. Why do you forfeit? ;_;

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350572814
(B) Shitmons. I mean, none of the mons on both sides are viable in BH.
(L) 4 mons.
(R) Trying to trap a Ghost-type.
(L) Oblivion Wing / Psystrike / Surf / Fly Desolate Land Cofagrigus, doing all of 13% to Deoxys-D.
(R) Imprisonform Sitrus Berry Deoxys-D.
(L) Snow Warning Milotic. With Moonblast / Blizzard / Searing Shot
(R) Deoxys-N ever, with Speed Boost (#GottaGoFast)
(R) Primordial Sea Volcarona. With Fiery Dance. Gotta love spamming your STAB under heavy rain.
(R) Belly Drum Blissey.
(R) Kangaskhan is actually OK, but Brave Bird?
(R) Yes, let's switch Blissey into V-create Darmanitan.
You didn't guess the winner at Team Preview right?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350548611
(R) Vaporeon, Chesnaught and Sylveon.
(R) Aeroblast Lugia.
(L) 4 hazards Giratina. Multi-hazard sets are bad in BH where hazards are easy to Defog. Especially without Mold Breaker to have a chance against Magic Bounce.
(L) Trying to set more than two Toxic Spikes.
(R) Not understanding Magic Bounce's mechanics.
There's a boring PP stall from turns 10-81, then:
(L) Sylveon sets up all over Giratina which keeps on spamming useless hazard moves.
(L) Baton Passer Steelix.
(R) Toxic Slaking.
(L) Stored Power MMX (MMY anyone?).
(L) Steelix tries to set a Sub at 1% instead of Baton Passing.
(L) Thunder Waving and then Toxicing a Steelix.
Again, you probably guessed the winner wrong.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350551495
(R) Accelgor, Bisharp, Floette-Eternal.
(L) Magic Bounce... Mega Sceptile.
(R) Freeze Shock Arceus-Normal. At least it had a Power Herb.
(R) Switching Bisharp into a Regigigas that had revealed Drain Punch. At least it worked.
(R) Contrary Bisharp in the first place. At least it took down 4 Pokémon.
(R) Extreme Speeding a Shedinja. At least... oh wait idk.
(L) Leaving Shedinja in after being Skill Swapped.
(R) Baton Passer Altaria.
(L) Using Earth Power on Accelgor.
(R) Accelgor replies with Electro Ball.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-350545904
(L) Chatot.
(R) Florges.
(L) Entrainment Normalize Gengar. This set sucks and if you want to use it, at least use Skill Swap.
(R) Dazzling Gleam ever (Moonblast says hi).
(R) X-Scissor Shedinja.
(R) Ice Punch Deoxys-S.
(L) Leaving Shedinja in after being Skill Swapped.
(R) Apparently, that's a Modest Gengar.
(L) Meanwhile, left's Gengar knows Venoshock for some reason. Even though it has Toxic, it's still stupid.
Battle ends with the two Normalize Gengars PP stalling.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350596319
Idol Roxas's team: Lapras / Pachirisu / Banette / Vivillon / Togekiss / Bouffalant
PokkenBattlers's team: Rattata / Rattata / Rattata / Rattata / Rattata / Rattata

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350592981
Questionable sets, including Light Screen Torterra, Flash Cannon Scizor, or Calm Mind regular Sableye, among others. Also, this one is a status fest.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-350589288
A lone FEAR Nosepass vs. a team of only Hydreigon and Archeops.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/1v1-350585410
Left has a lone Unfezant, with Detect / Feather Dance / Toxic. And won.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/almostanyability-350161012
Gimmicky trapping-related sets on both sides. Also, right's nicks.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/hackmonscup-350603901
Turn 16. Yes, that's Celebrate.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350625800
No, right's team is not legit.
(R) Dragon Breath + Spacial Rend Palkia.
(L) Obnoxious nicks.
(B) Right switches Giratina-O into Dragonite, and left goes to Slowbro. What??
(R) Aqua Ring + Brine Primal Kyogre.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350626056
(L) fennec15's team: Butterfree / Delcatty / Cinccino / Stantler / Manectric / Milotic
(R) Smeargle with no Sash. It is one-shotted.
(R) I don't think it'¡s necessary to Draco Meteor against a Stantler with only 5% HP left.
(R) Rock Smash / Draco Meteor / Shock Wave / Fly mixed Dragonite. It's really lucky, as it never gets full para'd and avoids a Rock Blast.
(L) Cosmic Power + Baton Pass Normalize Delcatty.
(R) Bulldoze + Retaliate Mega Gallade.
(R) Using Shadow Ball on Cinccino.
(B) Cinccino sweep.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-350625012
For some reason, Mega Lucario takes less damage from an Earthquake than Empoleon. Turn 11 as well, and the non-Mega Charizard nº 20000000, with Ancient Power.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/doublesubers-350812592

I'm at a loss for words with this one.

Seriously, I can't even write a list of all the dumb stuff in this battle.
[R,0] Every mon choice.
[L,0] Every mon choice, save maybe Talonflame.
[R,1] Switches both mons out first turn. Surely you could have like, gotten some damage off on Audino? Maybe double-targeted Shedinja?
[L,1] Shedinja is faster than Audino, somehow. Can't Mimic its Entrainment on the first turn.
[R,2] Switches the original two mons back in again. I suspect that this is just a dummy opponent for left to set up and knock down.
[L,2] Switches Regirock in for some reason.
[R,3] Yeah, the switching makes me suspicious. At least they shake it up and bring Eelektross in.
[L,3] Switches Dragonair in for some reason, uses Safeguard again.
[R,4] More switching.
[L,4] Dragonair learns Safeguard via Mimic, Mega Audino gives it Healer via Entrainment.
[5] One mon on each side switches out for some reason. Right actually makes a good (?) play in taunting what they perhaps expected to be Audino, but is in fact Regirock. Dragonair's thunderbolting of Crobat is solid logic at least. The least bad turn so far, imo.
[L,6] PuP Regirock using the move against Crobat.
[R,7] CM Meowstic tries to use Fake Out after having spent several turns on the field.
[L,7] It doesn't get to use it on account of Crobat's Taunt, but Tbolt Dragonair is revealed to have Dragon Dance. Also, Earth Power Regirock barely even touches +1 Meowstic.
[R,8] Crobat Brave Birds on Regirock. Meowstic Tbolts on Dragonair. Both do ~jack shit.
[L,8] Dragonair uses Dragon Pulse against Crobat, when Thunderbolt was doing well enough (albeit not breaking through Roost, but Dragon Pulse sure as hell isn't). Imma scream if this is fully special DDragonair.
[R,9] Meowstic reveals its last move as Shadow Ball. No Psychic STAB.
[R,10] Meowstic tries to use Fake Out again.
[L,10] Switches in Mega Audino for some reason.
[R,11] Milotic tries to use Dragon Tail on Mega Audino. It doesn't work. Maybe try that against the +4/+2 Regirock across from you?
[L,11] Curse Regirock (Did I mention it had Curse? Curse+EP, yep) uses Earth Power against the opposing Meowstic, to predictably little effect.
[12] This was pretty alright. Kinda cocky of Mega Audino to not use that Heal Pulse earlier, and [R] should have double-teamed Regirock, but ultimately not bad.
[R,13] Fake Out didn't work the past two times you used it? Try a third time.
[L,13] Regirock's fourth move is... wait for it... Stealth Rock. SR + Curse + PuP + Earth Power Regirock new meta. Milotic saves it some embarrassment and phases it out. Also, Pain Split Mega Audino.
[R,14] Actually makes a pretty reasonable play in Toxicking the Mega Audino, except that Safeguard was still up, so it's actually a stupid play.
[L,14] Quick Claw Sub Dnite.
[R,15] Back to double-switching. One of which is pointless after Dragonite reveals Dragon Tail.
[L,15] Shadow Ball Shedinja.
[R,16] Hurricane Volcarona off of a rain team, and an Eelektross using Flamethrower on Talonflame.
[17] was good. Right, in a shocking display of competence, KOs Talonflame with Volt Switch an deals heavy damage to Dragonite with Ice Beam. I can't blame Tflame for trying to set up a Swords Dance there.
[L,18] Dragonite's last move is Roost. Quick Claw helps it get one off. Meanwhile, Victini is glad to have a Dazzling Gleam which KOs Dragonair and deals good damage to Dragonite.
[19] is, given the circumstances, also pretty competent.
[R,20] lets Shedinja pick up its second KO by dint of not bothering to KO it. Admittedly, both KOed mons were at low HP, but w/e.

i'm stopping now because i'm tired and this is painful

I'll take it from here, then.
[21] sees the first of several fruitless attacks on Shedinja. Granted, simply dropping Audino gives Regirock a free switch, but Regirock is going to have a hard time doing much of anything. Meanwhile, Eleektross has Flamethrower and doesn't kill Sheddy.
[22] Hoo boy. Right decides to ram into Sheddy--with Giga Drain/Dragon Tail. Eleektross is Entrained, allowing Regirock to EP it, but the possibility of Milotic getting a health boost is troubling.
[23] Down goes Eleektross. Audino Pain Splits on Milotic's Rest, an actual good play.
[24] Another chance to kill Sheddy courtesy of Crobat's Brave Bird...and it goes after Audino. Regirock in, but Mioltic falls to Sheddy, resulting in a two-on-one, but a two-on-one with the two having nothing better than 4x resisted moves to hit.
[25]...never mind, Sheddy has Shadow Ball. Gets the SpDef drop, too. Regirock PuPs, since it can literally do nothing else.
[26] Nothing of note. Roost+Black Sludge allows Crobat to take hits and keep on chugging, but barely.
[27] With an opportunity to make this a 1v1, Crobat BBs...Regirock. Okay, this has to be intentional.
[28] Another Roosting turn.
[29] Sheddy takes the opportunity to SD a second time. It's over.
[30] Another Roost. Take out the Sheddy, damnit!
[31] Game over at long, long last, with multiple opportunities to avoid this outcome, yet here we are.
