Passimian is a premier offensive pivot thanks to its wonderful coverage alongside access to U-turn. Furthermore, Passimian's impressive Attack and its resistance to Stealth Rock, which drastically increases its overall longevity, allow it to compete with other offensive pivots such as Heliolisk and Rotom. On top of this, Passimian's ability Defiant enables it to apply even more pressure versus teams when paired with entry hazard support. However, Passimian's seemingly average bulk allows it to pivot only into weaker physical attackers or resisted hits or come in on predicted double switches through the likes of a VoltTurn core. Aside from its average bulk, Passimian's main drawback is the predictability behind the set. Teams with Ghost-types or reliable Fighting-type answers with access to recovery are usually safe switch-ins to Passimian and could ultimately limit Passimian's ability to spam its STAB attacks.

Through the use of a Choice Scarf, Passimian outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame. In tandem with its naturally high Attack and the coverage to do so, this grants Passimian the offensive capability of revenge killing (RH) a majority of opposing offensive threats. Furthermore, Passimian tends to force switches thanks to its ability to check several offensive threats such as Silvally-Steel, Heliolisk, and Archeops. U-turn is essential for Passimian's role as a pivot, because Passimian can threaten common defensive Pokemon and force them out, such as Guzzlord, Gigalith, and Regirock. Likewise, Knock Off can provide item disruption versus would-be switch-ins that would fear nothing from U-turn such as Vaporeon and Aromatisse. Rock Slide is the preferable fourth move for its ability to check Flying-types such as Talonflame, Charizard, Xatu, and Scyther. Earthquake is a good alternative to weaken Poison-types such as Toxicroak, while Gunk Shot is a fine option to have a reliable way to punish Fairy-types such as Ribombee and Silvally-Fairy. Passimian often relies on prediction, as several teams carry solid Fighting checks, especially if facing Pokemon such as Jellicent and Palossand. Therefore, Choice Scarf Passimian partners incredibly well with Vikavolt or Regirock on entry hazard stacking teams that greatly appreciate a fast Pokemon / revenge killer and need methods of deterring Defog. Regirock is able to switch in comfortably versus faster Pokemon such as Talonflame, whereas Vikavolt pressures bulky Water-types and can complete a VoltTurn core in order to bring Passimian in safely versus Pokemon such as Gigalith. On the other hand, Mesprit is able to handle defensive checks such as Weezing but also appreciates Passimian's abilities to threaten the Steel- and Rock-types that wall it such as Galarian Stunfisk and Gigalith. Heliolisk makes another excellent VoltTurn partner thanks to its immunity to Scald burns from Vaporeon and Jellicent and bait in Guzzlord.

[SET COMMENTS]

Passimian's monstrous Attack alongside its expansive coverage grants it a fine role as a wallbreaker with pivoting capabilities in order to turn the tides versus defensive teams. U-turn allows Passimian to pivot out against defensive walls such as Weezing and gain offensive momentum. Knock Off hinders switch-ins that rely on Heavy-Duty boots to perform as decent checks versus Passimian, like Talonflame and Charizard, and also cripples defensive checks by removing Leftovers or Black Sludge, such as Aromatisse and Weezing. Seed Bomb is ideal as Passimian's fourth move, as it provides devastating damage versus several common walls that resist or are immune to Close Combat such as Palossand, Jellicent, and Claydol. For perspective, Jellicent and Claydol are 2HKOed by it, whereas Palossand has a high chance to be 2HKOed after Stealth Rock. Earthquake is also a fantastic option in order to dismantle Poison-types such as Toxicroak, while Gunk Shot handles Fairy-types like Aromatisse and provides a strong neutral attack versus several Flying-types like Talonflame on the switch. However, Aromatisse commonly runs Protect and can scout for Gunk Shot, and Silvally-Fairy's naturally higher Speed means it is usually safer to U-turn out to a Fairy-type check such as Silvally-Steel or Togedemaru. Because of Passimian's wallbreaking capabilities and phenomenal coverage, it can be hard to handle for defensive playstyles, especially when paired with other VoltTurn members. Choice Scarf Togedemaru is an excellent partner for its ability to check faster threats to Passimian such as Silvally-Fairy, Whimsicott, Talonflame, and Ribombee. Passimian is also able to reliably wallbreak versus Togedemaru's counters such as Galarian Stunfisk and Lanturn. Entry hazard setters like Sandaconda are wonderful partners, with Passimian, as not only will residual damage make its Choice Band-boosted attacks that much more difficult to switch into, Sandaconda also brings Glare support versus faster Pokemon like Virizion and Whimsicott and appreciates Passimian's ability to deter Defog thanks to Defiant.

Passimian is a premier offensive pivot - capable of dismantling teams thanks to its wide array in offensive coverage options as well as its accessibility in team support options through the likes of Knock Off and U-turn. These attributes are even further supported due to Passimian's impressive Attack as well as its resistance to Stealth Rock which drastically increases its overall longevity compared to other offensive pivots. However, Passimian's seemingly average bulk only grants it to pivot onto weaker physical attackers or resisted hits or on predicted doubles through the likes of a VoltTurn core. Because of this, Passimian greatly appreciates being involved in teams heavily filled with pivoting techniques in order to maneuver around the opponent's switch-ins and gain offensive momentum. this can probably be rephrased to be more concise in regards to how it's best in voltturn cores/other pivots Passimian also enjoys being paired on offensive teams with hazard stacking capabilities because the hazards either chip switch-ins down into an effective range for Passimian to clean up late-game once it has Knocked Off the opponent's Heavy-Duty Boots users or Passimian can deter Defog thanks to its ability Defiant. Although Passimian requires a fair amount of support, it is unquestionably among the strongest offensive pivots in the tier. what are its main drawbacks? only average bulk is mentioned, organizing as positives -> negative for overview can help

Through the use of a Choice Scarf, Passimian outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame aside from Accelgor or Gale Wings Talonflame I wouldn't consider gale wings different than other priority and accelgo isn't rly relevant. Pairing this with its naturally high attack, Passimian has the offensive capability of revenge-killing a majority of opposing offensive threats - since it has the coverage to do so. Furthermore, Passimian tends to induce switches thanks to its ability to check several offensive threats such as Silvally-Steel, Heliolisk, and non-Gale Wings Talonflame. U-turn is essential for Passimian's role as a pivot because Passimian can threaten common defensive pokemon in the tier such as Guzzlord, Gigalith, and Regirock thanks to STAB Close Combat, thus providing offensive momentum on their switch-out. Whereas Knock Off provides item disruption vs would-be switch-ins such as Vaporeon or Aromatisse. i think this would be better closer to the u-turn point, since mons you knock and uturn are the same really Rock Slide as the 4th move is most preferable for its ability to check a weakened Gale Wings Talonflame, Charizard, and many other Flying types in the tier such as Xatu and Scyther. Earthquake is a good alternative to weaken Poison-types such as Neutralizing Gas Weezing and Garbodor. Gunk Shot is also a fine option in order for Passimian to have a reliable way to punish Fairy types such as Ribombee and Silvally-Fairy. Although Passimian can hit ridiculously hard and can pick apart offensive teams, it's predictability can be exploited due to its choice-locked moves vs defensive teams expand on this. Therefore, Choice Scarf Passimian pairs incredibly well on offensive hazard-stacking teams who greatly appreciate speed control as well as a way to deter Defog and hinder its defensive checks. Roserade is an excellent offensive partner to pair with Passimian thanks to its ability to place Spikes as well as it can offensively handle Passimian's defensive switch-ins such as Vaporeon, Jellicent, and Aromatisse with STAB Grass/Poison coverage respectively. mention some hazard users besides rose On the other hand, Roserade certainly appreciates Passimian's ability to bring Roserade in safely vs said Passimian switch-ins, as well as being able to handle the Steels, Fires, and Flying which Roserade cannot stand such as Silvally-Steel, Charizard, and Xatu. since you speak highly of it in the overview make sure to fit some pivots

Passimian's monstrous Attack alongside its expansive coverage grants it a fine role as a wallbreaker with pivoting capabilities in order to turn the tides vs defensive teams. With a Choice Band, Passimian is able to quickly rip apart defensive answers lacking reliable recovery or resist Passimian's choice-locked moves. However, even resisted STAB Close Combats are devastating to switch into if the defensive answer has no means of reliable recovery such as Silvally-Fairy. U-turn allows Passimian to pivot vs defensive walls such as Levitate Weezinglevitate doesn't seem worth mentioning since EQ isn't main slash and gain offensive momentum. Knock Off hinders switch-ins gaining passive recovery with Leftovers, meaning they are less capable of switching into Passimian's strong attacks later on such as Black Sludge Weezing or Rocky Helmet Xatu this should be reworded since you mention lefties then use examples that arent running it, knocking off boots should be mentioned too. Seed Bomb is most ideal as Passimian's 4th moveslot as it provides devastating damage vs several common Passimian walls who resist or are immune to Close Combat such as Jellicent, Runerigus, Palossand, and Claydol all of these are hit by knock off, not sure if seed bomb is that great. if keeping then def expand on this. Earthquake is also a fantastic option in order to dismantle Poison-types such as Garbodor. Rock Slide grants Passimian a capable option in KOing all of the Flying types who could switch into Passimian's Close Combats and U-turns, however because Passimian is slower than a majority of the Flying types, it's usually just safer to U-turn into a Flying check such as Gigalith or Heliolisk add examples of flying-types, but honestly, I think boosted knock is enough to where rock slide isn't worth. Gunk Shot is also an option in order to handle the Fairy types who are slower than Passimian such as Alcremie, however Aromatisse commonly runs Protect and can scout for Gunk Shot and Silvally-Fairy is naturally faster than Passimian meaning it is usually safer to U-turn into a Fairy check such as Spikes Roserade or Garbodor add smth about how gunk is able to have decent neutral coverage hitting stuff like talonflame. Although Choice Band Passimian has little-to-no defensive play when facing offensive teams, its lack of Speed and requirement to predict can exhibit difficulty in being able to handle an opponent who is aware of Passimian's devastation this seems like fluff. However, because of Passimian's wallbreaking capabilities and phenomenal coverage, it can be flustering for defensive playstyles, especially when paired with other VoltTurn members. Heliolisk is an exceptional pairing thanks to it's the ability to freely Volt Switch into Passimian vs would-be switch-ins such as Guzzlord and chip away at defensive checks to Passimian such as Weezing and Aromatisse. Beyond that, Passimian treasures Heliolisk's ability to hinder faster offensive checks thanks to Glare, such as Silvally-Fairy and Choice Scarf Mesprit.
adding specific calcs that CB helps with would be helpful
what are some speed control options now that passimian is breaking and not revenge killing?

you can keep seed bomb but def cut rock slide if it wasn't clear

I think caution with ghost types should be mentioned w both sets since you get locked into CC
what are some pivots besides heliolisk?

mentioned on disc but make sure u have sentences less lengthy in general

Passimian is a premiere offensive pivot - capable of dismantling teams thanks to its wide array in offensive coverage options as well as its accessibility in team support options through the likes of Knock Off and U-turn. (I would not say these are its most notable qualities so they shouldn't be the first thing you mention. honestly its coverage is pretty standard for a fighting type, just take this whole point out bar that U-turn is really spammable)These attributes are even further supported due to Passimian's impressive Attack as well as its resistance to Stealth Rock which drastically increases its overall longevity compared to other offensive pivots. Because of this, Passimian thrives on teams supplied with multiple pivoting partners in order to always have an advantageous position vs the opponent's respective switch-ins. (teammates arent really a thing for the overview, remove)Passimian also enjoys being paired on offensive teams with hazard stacking capabilities. This is because the hazards either chip switch-ins down into an effective range for Passimian to clean up late-game once it has Knocked Off the opponent's Heavy-Duty Boots users or Passimian can deter Defog thanks to its ability Defiant. (again talking about teammates isn't really an overview thing, change so it's just talking about why defiant is good)However, Passimian's seemingly average bulk only grants it to pivot onto weaker physical attackers or resisted hits or on predicted doubles through the likes of a VoltTurn core. Aside from its average bulk, Passimian's main drawback is the predictability behind the set. Teams with Ghost types or reliable Fighting resists with access to recovery are usually safe switch-ins to Passimian and could ultimately limit Passimian's ability to spam its STAB. Furthermore, Passimian tends to induce switches thanks to its ability to check several offensive threats such as Silvally-Steel, Heliolisk, and non-Gale Wings Talonflame(idk how ud reliably know its not gale wings, change example). U-turn is essential for Passimian's role as a pivot because Passimian can threaten common defensive pokemon and force them out such as Guzzlord, Gigalith, and Regirock thanks to STAB Close Combat. (u dont have to say what cc does, remove that part)Likewise, Knock Off can be clicked because it provides item disruption vs would-be switch-ins who would otherwise fear nothing from U-turn such as Vaporeon or Aromatisse. Rock Slide as the 4th move is most preferable for its ability to check a weakened Gale Wings Talonflame(it also checks Flame Body talonflame), Charizard, and many other Flying types in the tier such as Xatu and Scyther.(rephrase this entire sentence to just say it hits flying types like x and y)Earthquake is a good alternative to weaken Poison types such as Garbodor(irrelevant mon, replace with toxicroak). Gunk Shot is also a fine option in order for Passimian to have a reliable way to punish Fairy types such as Ribombee and Silvally-Fairy. Although Passimian can hit ridiculously hard and can pick apart offensive teams, it's predictability can be exploited due to its choice-locked moves vs defensive teams and common Fighting immunities in the tier such as Jellicent and Palossand. This is because Passimian can be pressured into clicking its team supportive moves such as Knock Off and U-turn more so than Close Combat if the opposing defensive team has reliable Fighting resists in order for other teammates to provide offensive pressure. (these two sentences can easily be shortened and combined into something like 'it often relies on predictions especially if facing pokemon like x and y')Therefore, Choice Scarf Passimian pairs incredibly well on offensive hazard-stacking teams who greatly appreciate speed control and need methods of deterring Defog. Passimian also greatly appreciates partners who are capable of hindering its defensive checks. Roserade or Vikavolt are excellent offensive partners to pair with Passimian thanks to their abilities to place hazards via Spikes or Sticky Web respectively. (you already mentioned hazards, just stick these examples in that sentence)Roserade can offensively handle Passimian's defensive switch-ins such as Vaporeon, Jellicent, and Aromatisse with STAB Grass/Poison coverage respectively whereas Vikavolt also pressures the bulky Waters and can fill a VoltTurn core in order to bring Passimian in safely vs would-be Vikavolt switch-ins such as Gigalith. On the other hand, Roserade certainly appreciates Passimian's ability to bring Roserade in safely vs said Passimian switch-ins. Roserade also enjoys its abilities to handle the Steels, Fires, and Flying which Roserade cannot stand such as Silvally-Steel, Charizard, and Xatu. Roserade and Vikavolt also provide Passimian with a reliable status absorber since they both have means of reliable recovery and do not fear taking a Scald Burn.(this paragraph focuses way too much on the same two teammates, shorten this to just say "these mons set these hazards and check these mons for passimian, passimian checks these mons for them." then u can mention vikavolt's vswitch and use that as a transition into more voltturn mon examples, ez)

Knock Off hinders switch-ins relying on Heavy-Duty boots to remain as decent Fighting checks vs Passimian like Talonflame and Charizard and also cripples defensive checks by removing Leftovers or Black Sludge such as Aromatisse and Weezing. Seed Bomb is most ideal as Passimian's 4th moveslot as it provides devastating damage vs several common Passimian walls who resist or are immune to Close Combat such as Palossand, Jellicent, and Claydol. For perspective, Jellicent and Claydol are guaranteed 2HKOd by Seed Bomb whereas Palossand has an 86% chance to be 2HKOd after Stealth Rocks. (you don't need these random calcs, remove)Earthquake is also a fantastic option in order to dismantle Poison types such as Garbodor(again, garbodor isnt the most relevant example). Gunk Shot is also an option in order to handle the Fairy types who are slower than Passimian such as Alcremie(another irrelevant mon, replace). However Aromatisse commonly runs Protect and can scout for Gunk Shot and Silvally-Fairy is naturally faster than Passimian, meaning it is usually safer to U-turn into a Fairy check such as Spikes Roserade (idk why u had to specify spikes, just say Roserade)or Garbodor(replace). Gunk Shot is also incredibly strong neutral coverage vs Flying types such as Talonflame and Charizard, as Passimian is far too slow compared to all of the Flying types so Gunk Shot's versatility is considered over Rock Slide as an option. Although Choice Band Passimian has little-to-no defensive play when facing offensive teams, its lack of Speed and requirement to predict can exhibit difficulty in being able to handle an opponent who is aware of Passimian's devastation. (i had to put effort into understanding this sentence, it doesnt really add anything anyway so remove) However, because of Passimian's wallbreaking capabilities and phenomenal coverage, it can be flustering for defensive playstyles, especially when paired with other VoltTurn members. Heliolisk and Rotom are exceptional partners thanks to their abilities to freely Volt Switch into Passimian vs would-be switch-ins such as Guzzlord and chip away at defensive checks to Passimian such as Weezing, Aromatisse, and Jellicent. Beyond that, Passimian treasures Heliolisk's ability to hinder faster offensive checks thanks to Glare, such as Silvally-Fairy and Choice Scarf Mesprit.(glare heliolisk is bad, remove) Alternatively, Rotom provides Passimian an excellent Psychic check vs the likes of Mesprit and Uxie as well as speed control vs many Flyings like Talonflame and Scyther if running a Choice Scarf.
