Official NBA 2011-12 Season Thread

Even DerrickRose now believes in "the power of small ball".

Seriously though, these two teams might have the best small ball in the whole league with Thunder over Heat 'coz Bosh hates playing center.

Smellin a Thunder win

FISHER!

Next game, Kevin Durant fouls out in the 3rd because you know he's too good for the Heat to handle when he isn't getting raped by the officials.

OKC choked on one of the biggest dicks I've ever seen.

Edit: There were some dubious foul calls down the stretch but still.

lol its a block when lebron lifts his elbow and hits harden. got it. it's 2006 all over again
No, it's a block when Harden gets away with hacking LeBron on the arm with the reach and then flopping when LeBron protects the ball with his body. But, if you want to justify this loss by blaming the officiating then go right on ahead.

well the silver lining is that the heat were up 2-1 last year as well

even if this year's version has two wins that were blatantly given to them by the officials, this is still going to be a closely contested series. The heat showed they can't guard the thunder and that no lead is safe in this series, so im optimistic. I don't have a horse in this race. I just want to see good basketball games, and so far we haven't gotten that. What we have seen is that there's a ghost in a blue uniform committing fouls against Wade, strange how much this series is mirroring last year with elements of 2006 thrown in. The NBA needs better writers.

he knocked the ball directly out of his hands, and then he got hit in the head by an elbow. I get that you want the Heat to win, but please try to watch the same game as everyone else.

The Heat showed in this game that they can handle the Thunder. Even with Durant in the last quarter, they still managed to win. Good game, fairly even. Both sides had their fair share of screwups and genius plays, so that balances things out.

Heat showed they can handle the Thunder in all 3 games.. Thunder are just playing stupid + refs.

They still look like shit in the 4th

If you genuinely think that, let's see what happens when calls like Harden's "blocking foul" on Lebron's elbow go the right way and he is sitting on the bench with 4 fouls in the early part of the 3rd quarter and see how the Heat can manage to stay in a game like that despite multiple superstars being on the bench.

Granted, the Thunder are 100% to blame for this loss because they executed poorly down the stretch. But once again most of the calls went against them. They caught a couple breaks, but nothing that was valuable.

The Heat also made stupid plays. Like when Dwayne Wade clumsily handled the ball and Sefolosha was able to make an easy basket.
