My first warstory

[Mailman]

So this is my first warstory. ill try to do my best.
This was an OU battle on smogon's official server. My oponent was Dr.acula (dracula lol). it was a close game with haxes.

My Team:

Dr.acula's team will be revealed at the end of the warstory

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause

mailman sent out Golden Boy (lvl 100 Azelf).
Dr.acula sent out Panzeron (lvl 100 Skarmory ?).

So the game starts. with the advantage of my azelf over scarmory i stay in and go with the flamethrower. That way even if a weavile switches in i can still kill it

Golden Boy used Flamethrower.
It's super effective!
Panzeron lost 32% of its health.
The Occa Berry weakened Flamethrower's power!
Panzeron used Spikes.
Spikes were scattered everywhere!
Spikes were scattered around the foe's team!

that was unexpected. first time ever i see a scarm use that berry. oh well he now has spikes and i got rid of the weird berry

Golden Boy used Flamethrower.
It's super effective!
Panzeron lost 63% of its health.
Panzeron was burned!
Panzeron used Stealth Rock.
Pointed stones float in the air around your foe's team!
Panzeron was hurt by its burn!
Panzeron lost 4% of its health.
Dr.acula's Panzeron fainted.

This time it dies because of the useless burn. and he sets up rocks which isn't that bad for my team.

5-6 mailman

Dr.acula switched in Brutalanda (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Brutalanda's intimidate cut Golden Boy's attack!

great a salamance that means i need to get out of here cause im stuck with flamethrower because of choice scarf

mailman switched in aqua dog (lvl 100 Vaporeon ?).
aqua dog was hurt by Spikes!
aqua dog lost 12% of its health.
Pointed stones dug into aqua dog.
aqua dog lost 12% of its health.
Brutalanda used Crunch.
aqua dog lost 25% of its health.
aqua dog's defence was lowered.
aqua dog's leftovers restored its health a little!
aqua dog restored 6% of its health.

It uses crunch which tells me it's a mix-mence. im at 50% health so i don't really know what to do. i decide to protect just for the lefties gain and to scout out.

aqua dog used Protect.
aqua dog protected itself!
Brutalanda used Thunder Fang.
aqua dog protected itself!
aqua dog's leftovers restored its health a little!
aqua dog restored 6% of its health.

So now i know it has thunder fang which is uncommon. so i know switch to meta (since i made it really bulky it takes hits quite well)

mailman switched in R.O.B (lvl 100 Metagross).
R.O.B was hurt by Spikes!
R.O.B lost 12% of its health.
Pointed stones dug into R.O.B.
R.O.B lost 6% of its health.
Brutalanda used Thunder Fang.
R.O.B lost 17% of its health.
R.O.B's leftovers restored its health a little!
R.O.B restored 6% of its health.

So metagross gets in safely. i now realize that i could of stalled with wish+protect on mence but this is ok

R.O.B was burned!
R.O.B flinched!
R.O.B's leftovers restored its health a little!
R.O.B restored 6% of its health.
R.O.B was hurt by its burn!
R.O.B lost 12% of its health.

OMG OMG OMG. I was so mad what are the odds of getting flinched plus burned in one turn. i still can't believe it. I was going to ice punch it for the kill. in the other hand this is a very weird salamence but im still pretty sure it's mixed

ya what could i do it wasn't even worth keeping him.

So mamoswine comes in and i ice shard and yet again it had something uncommon. at least i didn't get haxed. next hit will ko

so he sacrifices his salamence but i am left with 3% HP so i have to stay in no matter what.

5-4 mailman

Dr.acula switched in Elektek (lvl 100 Electabuzz ?).
mailman: i know
you r dead used Ice Shard.
Elektek lost 52% of its health.
you r dead lost 3% of its health.
mailman's you r dead fainted.
Elektek used Fire Punch.
But there was no target!

i respond a little late and mamoswine does the last thing it can as it dies. (i don't like fainting)

Pointed stones dug into Golden Boy.
Golden Boy lost 12% of its health.

so i bring in azelf so i don't reveal another pokemon. at this point i don't think he knows it's scarfed so i attack. im not even sure if electabuzz outspeeds azelf. but im scarfed so even if hes slower than me and has a scarf i still ko.

Golden Boy used Psychic.
Elektek lost 48% of its health.
Dr.acula's Elektek fainted.

so it's dead like i expected now i just have to wait

4-3 mailman

Dr.acula switched in Metagross (lvl 100 Metagross).

so in comes metagross and i need to get the hell out of here. so i go to vapy.

mailman switched in aqua dog (lvl 100 Vaporeon ?).
aqua dog was hurt by Spikes!
aqua dog lost 12% of its health.
Pointed stones dug into aqua dog.
aqua dog lost 12% of its health.
Metagross used Earthquake.
aqua dog lost 24% of its health.
aqua dog's leftovers restored its health a little!
aqua dog restored 6% of its health.

I protect cause well i get lefties and scout

aqua dog used Protect.
aqua dog protected itself!
Metagross used Thunderpunch.
aqua dog protected itself!

so great t-punch i have nothing that can take that so vapy must die for the team

Now that vaporeon is dead i need to revenge kill it

so i use flamethrower and yet another occa berry but the crit negates it.
so i have to use flamethrower again for the ko. he used eq for some reason

Metagross lost 44% of its health.
Dr.acula's Metagross fainted.

So i finish off meta and it looks that azelf may sweep

Dr.acula: i don't want to do this attack...
Dr.acula switched in Sichlor (lvl 100 Scyther ?).

So if hes sending this out i think im going to sweep

Golden Boy used Flamethrower.
It's super effective!
Sichlor lost 51% of its health.
The Occa Berry weakened Flamethrower's power!

It's super effective!
Golden Boy lost 75% of its health.
mailman's Golden Boy fainted.

But it another occa berry apears and ko's me with the x-scissor

The game is awfully close and it is about to end

Pointed stones dug into yo Shadow.

yo Shadow used Thunderbolt.
It's super effective!
Sichlor lost 49% of its health.
Dr.acula's Sichlor fainted.

gengar finishes him off so it's 2 against one

Dr.acula switched in Stahlos (lvl 100 Steelix ?).

mmmm ground type. my scarfgar will stay in no matter what

it must of overpredicted and used eq but even if i switched yanmega is still in the air

Sub petaya yanmega does the job. but yet another hax that pays for the meta hax but oh well

The substitute took damage for Swat meh!!
Swat meh!'s substitute faded!
Swat meh!'s Speed Boost raised its speed!

Hidden power ground ftw and the game is over

In the future, it would be best to not have nicknames within the warstory as it creates confusion. Other than that, it was a decent warstory, comments could've been better. The thing that I thought interesting was your opponents team (wtf @ all the berries).

Your opponent didn't seem to be playing very well, just as an observation. He only attempted to predict a few times, a lot of other times it just seems like he didn't try at all. Plus, running Electabuzz over Electrivire? He's lucky you didn't drop other super effective moves on his dudes.

This is a lot of "Pokemon beats Pokemon with move", no predictions either side, and a lot of sacrifice-revenge kill-sacrifice-revenge kill etc. The comments weren't great and neither side really did anything interesting the whole time.

Compared to all the other warstories around right now, this one isn't so good.

There was nothing to this except for log really. You just stated what happened in the battle. Effectively you have paraphrased the battle, whilst still including the log. It was uninteresting as the descisions that you made during the battle were not properly explained, most of the time and the quality of your opponant wasn't really good enough to make this interesting. I mean he kept skarm in on your azelf? what if you had used T-bolt instead? Oh well...

No, this was NOT a decent warstory. There was no prediction, no comments, and close to an utter lack of skill on both players' parts. There was also massive hax at key points, and the whole thing was not only not good, but not even enjoyable to read. Please get more experience, both in writing AND in commenting, before you try this again.

Eh, this battle...well, other than all the type-resistance berries, nothing on here seemed too special--like others said, it's a lot of revenge killing and pokemonA-beats-pokemonB-with-SE-move. Likewise, the format wasn't all that great. The spelling and grammar mistakes were a major turn off (spell check and consistent punctuation, please), not to mention the fact that the nicknames made it harder to follow what was going on. And, as others before me have noted, the commentary wasn't too great, more of a restatement of the log without much insight into your planning.

As others have said, this was more of a "Pokemon beats Pokemon with move" battle than the sort of close, prediction-heavy matches we like to see in warstories. Please also try to use correct grammar in the comments and remove nicknames too, it makes the story a lot easier to read.
