Medium Cup

Ever wanted to use your favorite Gible or Graveler in competitive battling, but didn't have a tier to use them in? You could in Medium Cup. If you've gone to the Pokexperte server, you will have seen the clause for the Medium Cup metagame. Medium Cup is the logical follow-up to Little Cup, and allows only middle evolutions. This is a list of all 58 middle evolutions:

The main concern is that these Pokemon wouldn't be enough to create a tier. Of these 58, some, such as Dusclops, would be vastly more viable than things like Kakuna. This would lead to a small pool of viable Pokemon. Suspect testing would be needed, and some Pokemon would probably be banned. Medium Cup has the potential to become an interesting metagame.

The NFE tier, basically, give or take a bit. Smogon doesn't have a ladder up for it yet either, so it isn't really feasible to talk about the metagame until so.
