  • Hello,
I’ve been building this double dragon dance bulky offense/offense team but something’s off with it and I’m clueless as to what. https://pokepast.es/121b600d0a2421d9 Most sets are normal and straightforward with the exception of gouging fire’s.
    The Silly
    The Silly
Breaking swipe is used to PP stall dondozo, either breaking through it and sweeping at +6 or getting it weakened to the point where it can’t stop roaring moon. Tera steel was chosen over Tera fairy to improve the stall matchup by giving it a toxic immunity so it can setup on gliscor too… its some new tech me and someone else in the 2000’s came up with and have been using.
    The Silly
    The Silly
Problematic matchups can include certain pult sets, raging bolt, and opposing gouging fires. The team doesn’t like ghold too much either

(Also one last thing id like to add is that it peaked at around 1780 elo)
Yo, I loved ur team rating vids! I've been trying to put together a team that revolves around 3 of the best G8 OU mons - Weavile, Pult and Lando-T - lmk if I should change
    https://pokepast.es/10cdcfc4b4d20289
What I'd personally change tho is Tera Ice Lando-T and st for hazard control thats not tusk.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Your team is very vulnerable to Gouging Fire, I'd recommend using a physically defensive Scorching Sands Landorus.

Ty, this was prolly the last thing I needed for it, been going 14-0 LMAO
    Thanksss
Hey Pinkacross ive seen some of your recent videos on rating gen9 ou teams . recently ive had good success with using AV Samurott-Hisui , i think my team gets bullied by banned Meowscarada. i was hoping you can give me some advice on improving me team https://pokepast.es/07cbcc187294fd08
    Hi, Pinkacross
I've watched some of your videos (great content btw) and it inspired me to try building teams. I tried starting off with something I thought that would be fun to use (ie Scarf Lando) and go from there. This is the best I came up with: https://pokepast.es/88bfc61f67fffd03
Would you mind giving me suggestions on how to improve it, or just about what synergizes w/ Specs Keldeo?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Glad to hear youre enjoying the content! I would recommend putting Keldeo on a balance. You're mixing playstyles a bit here, putting Keldeo on what appears to be half HO.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Keldeo mainly struggles with spdef walls like Glowking, so running pokemon that can pressure and chip glowking and clodsire is helpful.
Hey, I finally decided to check out your YouTube channel and I just wanna say that it’s really amazing :). You are very pedagogical and explain things will with really good tips. As a pretty bad player I have struggled with finding really good YouTubers and I think your channel is a great resource!

I would also love one big overarching teambuilding video going over everything from the ground up, or perhaps even a series. (Also maybe some more UUbers content)
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Thanks so much! Good word too, I love saying 'pedagogical.' I certainly will be making more general teambuilding guides soon! Thank you for the support! :] As for UUbers content, I may explore it further but videos about OU certainly have performed better, so that will be my main focus.
    Hi pink,
I've been using booster spam too get through mid ladder but i figured out my team looses to trickroom and it's pretty weak to webs any suggestions?

Both of these playstyles are destroyed by Sub Glare Serperior, try that over something (perhaps Raging Bolt).
    hi pinkacross
I've been having success with this team but I feel like it is missing something so I'd like and appreciate if you gave me some feedback pls

Your team is structured like a hazard stack but you have no stealth rock user. Try SR over Knock Off on Gliscor.
    H4t3 this game
I'll try it! my only concern is that everything runs heavy duty boots and I dont want to remove u-turn but anyways I'll find a way to work around it
Thanks for taking your time to see my team :)
    Hey Pinkacross,
I know you said that rain is unviable, but would you have any suggestions for this team? I’m currently at 1698 elo.
Toedscruel is basically a suicide lead that will always put something to sleep if they don’t have a grass type or at least getting a spike if they do.
Sinistcha probably seems weird, but it is a fantastic check to Dragonite.
    https://pokepast.es/1da0df7833313906
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Your lack of a Ghost resist concerns me, perhaps try to add a Kingambit here (probably over Sinistcha).
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
Air Balloon Kingambit will help against Dragonite, that's the set I'd recommend here. Not as good as Sinistcha in that role, but all the issues with Rain are pretty near impossible to patch up in my experience.
    Iron Rooster
    Iron Rooster
That makes sense having a more well rounded pokemon instead of a very specific one and priority always helps. I’ve also been experimenting with AV gambit to check Raging Bolt and other special threats as well. Thank you
Hey pink, I wanted you to give some suggestions about this team, I'm focusing on the physical Kommo-o, I think it's very predictable to use special and CS and lose HP, I tried to renew some things, what do you think?

    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'm impressed, this looks very solid! My only concern is the Hyper Offense matchup-- which doesn't look terrible, but since the strongest priority move you have is Weavile Ice Shard, bulkier sweepers like Gouging Fire concern me a bit. How does it feel playing against HO?
    Dozkek
    Dozkek
It's a bit iffy, but it's workable. It's mostly dependent on me doing the correct things
Hi Pinkacross!! I'm a viewer of your channel (on YT my username is Snowah) but for some reason whenever I send a comment on your last video it won't show up (at least for me), so I wanted to send my OU team here: https://pokepast.es/6b868335771fbd45

Thanks again for the super helpful content!!

    Nipper909
I switched Tusk's booster for leftovers, but I think I prefer booster for Bolt, I've tried both and while leftovers is helpful, the damage from booster Bolt really helps break more defensive mons early on, and Alo provides decently reliable recovery. Glasses also helps Gambit revenge kill more reliably which is something I really rely on since none of my team are very fast

    No problem! :]
Hi Pinkacross! I'm quite new to the world of competitive, so I've been watching a ton of your videos. Since your video on how to ladder I've tried to make this balance team, if you wouldn't mind giving me some pointers on it I'd be super thankful! <3 https://pokepast.es/0bd28e2c0363cc24
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'm glad you've been enjoying the videos! :] This team has 2 main issues that I can see: no immediate power and no speed control. Furthermore some of the sets are a bit wonky. I would recommend Substitute over Knock Off on Serperior, Leftovers over Black Sludge on Clodsire (if you Tera, Sludge will hurt you),
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
and Iron Defense over Defog on Corviknight. I suggest having some form of consistent removal, ideally Great Tusk. An attack and speed invested Great Tusk over Zoroark would be a good change. Spikes over Toxic Spikes on Clodsire as well.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'm also not too sure how well Serperior suits this team, I'd recommend trying a Modest Specs Dragapult instead. Good luck with the team! :]
Hi Pinkacross! I watched a few of your videos on teambuilding and decided to create a HO team. I have a bet with a mate to see who can reach 1750 ELO first, and wanted your opinion on this team I made: https://pokepast.es/94f8beded08bde10
    Sireofclod
    Sireofclod
The Hawlucha is meant to have Mold Breaker instead of Limber.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
This looks not bad! I would ditch the Hawlucha though. Your team isn't particularly weak to hazards, so you don't need the removal. The only really scary entry hazard is Sticky Web, so perhaps run a Serperior instead of Hawlucha (Contrary will lead to you getting a speed boost)!
Hi Pinkacross, I've been subscribed ever since the Jimothy Cool video about your Alomomola team. I'm participating in a OU tournament and wanted your opinion on this team I made: https://pokepast.es/6612f52808d15f65.

This is where testing comes in handy. Keep a tally, write down whenever you wish you had Low Kick or you wish you were Tera Fairy, or when you're happy with the original set. Eventually the correct answer will be revealed. Personally I'd go Leftovers + Low Kick over Iron Head.

Hello! Sorry to bother you again, but after the update on showdown, a lot of power creep popped up, so I made a new team. I find it pretty nice, but my main worry is the lack of priority. Is there a way I can fit priority? Is there any other changes I could make? Thanks!

Maushold is very out-of-place here, I'd say replace Maushold with Kingambit. That should help.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
You did cook. But the dish, I'm afraid, is of questionable viability.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'd say Hgant is always better than regular Lilligant on sun-- your set can certainly cheese some wins but most games in high ladder it won't do much, I think.
    xczzxc
    xczzxc
well you think, funnily the se can catch many off guard, is it as good as h-gant no since h-gant we can both agree has great opportunity cost, but the normal gant can cook like don't you count it out, I fought a guy in low ladder he was using this set but I changed the evs he destroyed my skeledirge and with the damage the gant had done he opened up his other mons
Hi, that mew trapper team that I sent you I have used your advice and have created this version of the team. The main changes are the additions of scizor and iron hands over mew and rotom-heat. For the iron hands, would you recommend heavy slam over fake out, fake out was added for some chip, and on glowking, would there be a better option over yawn? Thank you
    https://pokepast.es/bf673b92347a1444
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'm not on board with the LO Landorus exactly, but if you're asking about sets I'd say go Sludge Bomb over Yawn on Glowking, and I would say Heavy Slam over Fake Out but that's just my personal preference.
    Dozkek
    Dozkek
Hm i can't really think of good stall breakers for my team cuz i don't have much experience against it.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I would say Heatran in this last slot could be cool-- Will-O-Wisp, Magma Storm, Earth Power, and Taunt with Leftovers.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
    Over Cinderace.
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
This team is very very slow, breakers like Ogerpon-W are extremely threatening. You need some form of speed control or additional priority, your team isn't bulky enough for CB rilla to be the only way to stop sweepers.
Hey boss I used your thund-t team a while ago(the one with goodra-h) and it was mucho strong, i felt like goodra-h was putting in all the work so i thought i'd build a team around it what do you think

i swapped eq for knock on goodra bc of terrain i think it's ok but i feel like i lack damage in the midgame a bit? maybe if i swap gren out for someone? thanks man
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I love the idea of this core! The set seems really solid as well. The rest of the team feels a bit random though, Lando + Rillaboom isn't very good here (weakened EQ) and Gren also doesn't make a lot of sense. Try to decide on a playstyle before building, I'd recommend aiming for balance.

Hey Pinkacross what are your thoughts on this team? I've done some testing with this same team but with clodsire instead of Gking and flip turn over knock off on wake. Do you think the version clodsire's rocks and unaware are better than gking's paralysis, pivoting, and better weather matchup?
    Pinkacross
    Pinkacross
I'd say for a volt-turn team like this you absolutely need hazards of some kind, so I'd add a Stealth Rock user. Also I'd go Knock Off Flip Turn Draco Surf on Wake, Fthrow isn't really necessary.
Hi there Pinkacross again, sorry if I'm annoying you with another submission of a team, but I when you mentioned the speed evs to outspeed scarf greninja, I decided to actually try it myself with mixed enamorus and have created a team right here. Just wondering if you could look at it, thank you.

Hey there, huge fan of you're content lately . I was hoping you'd review this team of mine I centered around Hisuian-arcanine and whether I could possibly succeed with it on higher ladder play.

Thanks! I'm concerned about Zapdos and Shadow Ball for the most part. If you could fit a Dark type onto your team, I would recommend doing so. A Kingambit over Ogerpon might help with that.
