I think it's still worth it to run Protect on Diance, if only so that you can get it to Mega Evolve from turn 1 against leads like support Groudon or Excadrill to get Magic Bounce.

well, most of the times I end up with only hazzards, rain and smash pass. The Espeon kinda just there to avoid Prankster, most of the times there's no time to set up dual screens anyway.
