Landorus is one of Doubles OU's premier powerhouses, becoming the most dominant special attacker in the tier after Flutter Mane's ban with its powerful Sheer Force Life Orb-boosted attacks. Earth Power OHKOes Kingambit and 2HKOes Assault Vest Raging Bolt. Sludge Bomb hits Ogerpon and Rillaboom, and after Tera Poison, it often OHKOes them. Alternatively, Tera Steel helps resist snow teams, Dragonite + Chien-Pao, and Psychic-type spam teams. Alternatively, Landorus's strong offensive pressure often forces defensive responses from foes, which it can punish by setting up a Substitute. Sandsear Storm may be chosen as a spread damage option; however, it is unreliable without rain support. Landorus is versatile and fits on many team structures; however, its best partner is Tornadus, which gets it out of an awkward Speed tier with Tailwind and offensively checks Grass-types that give it trouble. Other excellent partners are Rillaboom with Fake Out, allowing it to easily set up a Substitute, and Ogerpon-W, which can redirect opposing Ogerpon-W's Water-type moves. Chien-Pao is a strong offensive teammate that checks faster foes such as Tornadus, which threaten Landorus.

notes, it's a guy for sure

* #1 torn synergy - tough combo to beat. incredible coverage combination with few shared checks
* hits top threats like bolt, kgb, ogerpon
* redirection, fake out needed. very fragile, ogerpon-w is a nightmare
* sub is something to be respected, helps it trade much more favorably
* sandsear droppable due to being unreliable/outside of rain teams
* fits on many team styles, good teammates are oger-w due to redirection/water absorb for opposing oger-w, torn obv, chi to hit the grasses
* steel for ice, poison to ensure ko on oger (check rilla calc) pre tera

Earth Power is able to OHKO Kingambit and 2HKO Assault Vest Raging Bolt. Sludge Bomb hits Ogerpon and Rilla, and after Tera Poison is often able to score an OHKO on either of them. Alternatively, a Steel tera type may be chosen to resist Snow teams and Chien-Pao. and dragonite!!! (and maybe psyspam??) Substitute helps Landorus trade with opponents such as Ogerpon-W much better and is powerful in front of Sucker Punch users. think the better spin on sub is that landoi forces a lot of defensive / reactionary play that it can punish, especially with proper speed control Sandsear Storm may be chosen as a spread damage option, however it is unreliable outside of rain teams. would prefer 'rain support' cuz sometimes torns just do be clicking rain dance yknow yknow Landorus is incredibly versatile and fits on many different team structures, however its best partner is Tornadus, who gets it out of an awkward speed tier with Tailwind, and gives additional offensive output against the previously mentioned Grass-types that give Landorus trouble. Other excellent partners are Rillaboom with Fake Out support, allowing it to easily set up a substitute, or Ogerpon-W which can redirect opposing Ogerpon-W's Water-type moves. throw in a pao mention if you have the space, flying types like genies/gmolt are landos best checks and pao is the easiest answer to slot on
