Cycle 8: Dragon

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Outrage
- Roost

Latios @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Memento

Dragalge @ Black Sludge
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 224 HP / 252 SpA / 32 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Sludge Wave
- Toxic Spikes
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon
- Flamethrower

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Garchomp is the teams Stealth Rock lead pokemon with enough speed to allow it to outspeed Timid/Jolly Volcanion, Bisharp and Breloom then the rest is invested to allow Garchomp to maximize its physical bulk. Toxic allows Garchomp to catch setup sweepers and hazard removers offguard and put them on a timer. Dragon Tail allows Garchomp to phaze setup pokemon or force pokemon out to take Stealth Rock damage. Latios is the teams hazard removal with the ability to quickly defog with its choice scarf and or to click memento to allow a teammate to come in easier against the opposing team. Dragalge is a major help against Fairy type teams and can set toxic spikes chipping opposing non poison, steel or flying pokemon. Dragalge speed EVs allow it to outspeed Hippowdon to help pick it off easier and take out sand more easily. HP Fire allows Dragalge to help check threats to the team such as Mega Scizor. Hydreigon is the teams main special wallbreaker and can easily clean through opposing weakened teams with its strong stab or coverage options. A Timid nature was used on Hydreigon to outspeed specifically Mimikyu. Finally Kyurem-Black is a great physically biased mixed wallbreaker for the team providing excellent BoltBeam coverage allowing it to pick apart many types such as Flying while also providing insane stab in Outrage boosted by a Life Orb making very few unresisted pokemon able to switch in. What's My Last?

edit: I accidentally put dragon in the poll however any votes for Dragon doesn't count, so don't vote for dragon!
the submission phase for this cycle ends on Friday May 12th @ 12 pm est

I was going to submit Assault Vest Goodra, but seeing as this team lacks fast physical offense (*ahem* no Scarf Kyurem *ahem*), I'm thinking this is the way to go.

SALAMENCE

An excellent cleaner, Salamence makes a great Last(TM) for Dragon teams so long as Celesteelas, Magearnas, and the like have been removed. One Dragon Dance, and you're good to finish off a team, or even start an incredible Moxie-aided sweep. Z-Fly or Z-Outrage can help snag that first kill for the Moxie boost, and a Jolly nature lets Salamence outspeed neutral-natured Mega Alakazam and Mega Aerodactyl after a Dragon Dance.

Salamence @ Flyinium Z / Dragonium Z
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Fly
- Outrage
- Earthquake

Dragonite
Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- Superpower
- Extreme Speed

Dragonite is extremely helpful for this team due to being a wonderful physical wallbreaker as well as a revenge killer with Extreme Speed. With Choice Banded Superpower, it improves the issue this team has with Normal's Eviolite core. Fire Punch is essential for hitting Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, and Magearna. Outrage is just the basic STAB. Dragonite is just a fantastic Pokemon that can greatly benefit any Dragon team.

Latias

Latias (F) @ Haban Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Tailwind
- Healing Wish
Right now, Swift Swim Water with Dragon Pulse Kingdra just plows through this team, and since Dragonite is taken already, here's my way around. Just an offensive supporter Latias set. Haban Berry lets Latias survive any non-boosted Dragon attack (except for Banded Outrages from extremely powerful Dragon-types like Dragonite or Black Kyurem) and retaliate back with Draco Meteor, getting threats like Kingdra and opposing Latios outta the way. Hidden Power Fire takes Defog's or Psychic's place in this set, since both of these are already being run on her brother Latios. It's mostly to have some offensive presence against pretty common Steel teams and to at least scratch Magearna. Tailwind assists Black Kyurem and Hydreigon to gain crucial speed advantage against other teams. Healing Wish is arguably the best supportive move on Latias and can give a weakened teammate the second chance at contributing in the match. It also has a momentum-shifting effect, which makes it especially good in combination with Tailwind. Offensive EV spread is run due to this set consisting of two attacking moves and not intending to check threats repeatedly.

Well shit, both Dragonite and Salamence are taken. Guess i'll post a sweeper dragonite set since there's a memento Latios.

Dragon Dance Dragonite

Dragonite @ Dragonium Z / Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
- Extremespeed
- Earthquake

Totally not outclassed by salamence, not at all. Just basic dragon dance Dragonite with Z-Outrage to nuke pokemon. Flyium Z is sorta an option but not really, enjoy.

Banned deucer.
hi

i noticed that this team didn't have any strong wallbreakers capable of breaking the omnipresent balance normal core and needed a strong hitter to dent bulky cores that kyurem-black can't dismantle. banded haxorus heavily pressures the normal eviolite core and pressures other bulky cores and -fairy types with its sufficient coverage. iron tail is superior to pjab as it hits every fairy switchin and prevents mag from freely setting up. earthquake and outrage are standard coverage and stab, respectively. superpower adds additional coverage for -steel types and hits all of normal for good damage. adamant nature can be dropped for jolly so you can freely spam outrage and outpace unboosted normal teams lacking ditto and mega pidgeot, but keep in mind you already outpace jolly diggers, 1v1 timid meloetta and outpace modest meloetta even with an adamant nature. don't really need calcs, everyone should know how hard banded 147 base attack can hit.

Haxorus @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Iron Tail
- Superpower

Late Game/Defensive Latias

Latias @ Normalium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 228 HP / 252 Def / 28 Spe
Bold Nature
-Calm Mind
-Refresh
-Recover
-Stored Power

Odd set right? Actually, this set defeats most of the problems Dragon Mono's typically face. CM + Z Refresh is meant to be a late game sweeper, only really to be used when the physical attackers on the opponents team have been defeated. This Mon could one v one many unsuspecting monos such as Fairy and Normal. In terms of Fairy, you could literally send this out once Azu and/Mimikyu are gone and start setting up CM's. One CM at full guarantees it to live Magearna Fleur Cannon at full; + 2 guarantees it to live Modest Twinkle Tackle from it. Physical Defenses are powerful enough to live U-Turns from Tapu Koko and Wood Hammers from Scarf Adamant Tapu Bulu with at least half of it's HP. For Normal, there is no mon that can faze out its stat boosts, so all that needs to be done is remove Diggersby and you can sweep entire teams. While the only argument for Normal is Ditto, even at +6 does Scarf Ditto do half to Latias. With no reliable recovery due to it's movelock, it will eventually perish. The only problem with this set would be against Dark Monos, at it is useless unless you wish to PP stall with it, but the power of Specs Hydreigon and LO Kyu should be enough to deal with that demon, so there really should be no worry there.

Due to there not really being a constant amount of decent activity and monotype not really being diverse enough to have plenty of good options for the last Pokemon on the team, I have decided to close the project!
