SM OU Volt Turn Crawdaunt



i tried to create a team around banded crawdaunt to smash through walls ohkoing a lot of the meta so a majority of these mons have voltswitch or u-turn to get him in so he can do work on fools.

Standard defensive lando to get up rocks and switch into physical attacks and for a ground immunity, got hp ice to deal with garchomp and other landos and got some speed to get to certain speed tiers

torn is pretty bulky without investment and also learns knock off to harass walls and u-turn to gain momentum, i run z-fight or fly depending on my mood, ive been using z-fight more recently as most people send in fly resists vs this thing fly fight is good coverage also so focus blast + hurricane is essential.



Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers

i got phys def rotom-w might switch him to spdef and replace bulu with a defensive grasstype, but this is my defogger and gets burns on mons with will-o-wisp while also being apart of the volt turn core so i think hes a perfect fit for the team.

the star of the show, this pokemon is a powerhouse with adaptability crabhammer and knock off being able to smash stall teams, and any wall switching in, with the volt turn core i can predict a switch and bring this thing in to destroy any mon i come across, im running adamant to get the most out of my choice band and i have some priority to revenge kill things like greninja when ive chunked them a bit,



Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD

this mon has been a little underwhelming on this team, it does work sometimes getting up a sd on a switch and being able to take out a few mons but its not too strong of a spdef wall and my team is a little weak on the special defense side so im looking to replace this mon or i would appreciate if someone suggested a better set. i run synthesis as my team has no healing outside of regenerator. superpower is a bit redundant as i have alot of fighting coverage on thsi team already so i dont think i need it but im not experianced enough to know what to replace it with. a mon i have thought about is mega-venusaur as it keeps the fire-water-grass defensive core, gives me some utility with sleep powder, gives me poison coverage for faries, and doent get ohko'd by fire mons.

darmanitan is my scarfer, good as a counter lead to things like ferrothorn, m-medicham, m-lopunny, ttar etc as it can ohko them and outspeed them, sheer force boosted flare blitz beats a lot of this tier, i run stone edge as im lacking rock coverage on this team and this allows me to beat tornadus-t, zapdos, and other fast/bulky flying types which can be hard to gain momentum against and get crawdaunt into, so i need a way to deal with them, overall i think darmanitan is a slept on pokemon and matches really well with things like m-alakazam, crawdaunt and other mons with extremely high attack/spattack stats.

overall i think this team turned out quite well, i personally think that this team could take me places if i could make a few improvements to it,

Not a reliable check, especially when Darmanitan is so easy to wear down.
