[OVERVIEW]
With its low-risk, high-reward Knock Off backed up by Triple Axel and an excellent Speed tier— which allows it to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame barring Dragapult, Tapu Koko, and Zeraora and fire of strong attacks without taking a hit itself—Weavile establishes itself as a top threat every team needs to be prepared for. Knock Off and Triple Axel have amazing synergy, as Triple Axel's main flaw is that Rocky Helmet users that can take a Triple Axel can punish Weavile with heavy damage, but Knock Off can remove Rocky Helmet from these Pokemon, allowing Weavile to use Triple Axel more freely. Its Dark / Ice STAB combination also allows it to threaten many tier staples such as Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Slowbro with an OHKO, forcing out these Pokemon to gain opportunities to spam Knock Off. Weavile also serves as a valuable check to Swords Dance Garchomp and Choice Specs Dragapult, with its Ice Shard OHKOing Garchomp after its Defense is dropped by Scale Shot, as well as serving as one of the tier's only Ghost-resistant Pokemon. However, Weavile is held back by various contact-punishing effects, including the previously mentioned Rocky Helmet as well as Flame Body, Static, and Iron Barbs. Flame Body Heatran and Volcarona can take Triple Axel with ease while being favored to inflict a burn on Weavile, ruining its offensive capabilities. Zapdos cannot safely switch into Weavile, but it has favorable odds to inflict paralysis when Triple Axel is used, and a paralyzed Weavile is nearly useless in many matchups due to its poor bulk and defensive typing.

Swords Dance Weavile threatens heavy damage with Swords Dance-boosted attacks and disrupts opposing teams with Knock Off. Swords Dance enables Weavile to OHKO Pokemon like Choice Band Tyranitar and Kartana with Triple Axel after a boost and heavily weaken Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory for other physical attackers like Urshifu-R, Kartana, and Garchomp to finish off. Ice Shard is mainly useful for Swords Dance Garchomp and Dragon Dance Dragonite, as it can OHKO them after they use Scale Shot or take chip damage, respectively; however, other Pokemon, including weakened Rillaboom and Dragapult, can also be picked off. The immunity to entry hazards granted by Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to last longer while being less reliant on Taunt, Defog, and Rapid Spin support, which is important to gain more opportunities to use Knock Off and support its team's effort of breaking through the opposing team. A Jolly nature is preferred on Weavile to outspeed Tornadus-T while tying with Modest Dragapult and other Jolly Weavile. Adamant can be used instead, making Weavile slower than the aforementioned Pokemon but giving it the capability to OHKO Pokemon like bulky Volcarona, Clefable, and opposing Weavile at +2.

Team Options
========

Weavile's excellence at wallbreaking and removing items allows it to form powerful synergies with many Pokemon. Future Sight users like Slowbro, Tapu Lele, and Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can help Weavile break through checks like Toxapex, Buzzwole, and Urshifu-R. Steel-types like Melmetal, Heatran, and Ferrothorn trying to absorb both Future Sight and Knock Off lose their items like Assault Vest and Leftovers in the process, which greatly assists Tapu Lele in wallbreaking or cleaning up weakened teams. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapult's STAB types. Galarian Slowking gains easy entry on one of Weavile's best checks in Toxapex while checking some of Weavile's revenge killers, like Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, as well as Tapu Fini, which is a counter to Weavile. Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can also scout what move Choice Specs Dragapult locks into, allowing Weavile to safely come in on Shadow Ball. Slowbro can bring in Weavile safely with Teleport while checking Urshifu-R, defensive Buzzwole, and Melmetal. Entry hazard-setting teammates like Landorus-T, Heatran, Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Garchomp are amazing partners, as Weavile's Knock Off enables their hazards to reach their full potential by removing Heavy-Duty Boots. These Pokemon have additional synergies with Weavile as well. Specially defensive Landorus-T checks Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Dragapult that can threaten Weavile, and it can also use a slow U-turn against Pokemon like opposing Landorus-T and Tornadus-T to bring in Weavile safely. Heatran benefits from Weavile removing Shed Shell from Toxapex, allowing Heatran to trap it, which in turn removes one of Weavile's counters. Ferrothorn's Spikes in conjunction with Weavile's Knock Off has potential to be far more potent than Stealth Rock, and Ferrothorn also checks important Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini that can revenge kill or wall Weavile. Mew is a great teammate on hyper offense for Life Orb Weavile especially, as it can both deny opposing entry hazards with Taunt and set Spikes to wear down Steel-type checks like Melmetal and Ferrothorn. Despite helping with the matchup, Weavile cannot handle Dragapult alone, so specially defensive Pokemon like Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Clefable can assist against it. Weavile cannot safely switch in against most Pokemon, which makes pivots like Tapu Koko and Landorus-T excellent partners. Tapu Koko can bring Weavile in with U-turn against Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Landorus-T, and Garchomp; however, both it and Weavile struggle with Ferrothorn. Therefore, Fire-types like Heatran and Victini can be used alongside them to threaten Ferrothorn. Wallbreakers like Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Heatran appreciate Weavile removing items from shared counters like Toxapex and Buzzwole, especially if they are running Rocky Helmet, as these wallbreakers' main attacks are both multi-hit and contact. Urshifu-R can also break through Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and pressure Blaziken, boosted Volcarona, and Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Aqua Jet. Protective Pads Urshifu-R, in particular, can use Taunt against Buzzwole to prevent it from recovering, which helps Weavile break through it. In return, Weavile can threaten Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult for Urshifu-R. Melmetal and Heatran can check Fairy-types like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Clefable for Weavile, while Weavile can take on Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-T for them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Life Orb is an option over Heavy-Duty Boots on Swords Dance sets with an Adamant nature on hyper offense to make Weavile nearly unwallable after using Swords Dance, as it lets Weavile OHKO Pokemon that would otherwise counter it, like Corviknight, Skarmory, and defensive Buzzwole, at +2 after Stealth Rock. However, Life Orb Weavile becomes very vulnerable to passive damage from Stealth Rock, its own Life Orb, Rocky Helmet, and Iron Barbs. Despite the sheer power provided by Life Orb, Weavile is still checked by Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Tapu Fini at +2, while Ferrothorn, especially if holding Rocky Helmet, can often force a trade with +2 Weavile. Additionally, Choice Scarf users and Tapu Koko forcing Weavile out becomes much more punishing due to the lack of Heavy-Duty Boots, as Weavile will usually take entry hazard damage whenever it attempts to switch in again. Low Kick can be used both with and without a Life Orb. Without a Life Orb, Low Kick can be used to deal heavy damage to Ferrothorn and bulky Melmetal while OHKOing Heatran at +2, while with a Life Orb, Low Kick can OHKO Ferrothorn and Melmetal after a Swords Dance and opposing Weavile before a Swords Dance. Giving up Ice Shard for Low Kick results in Weavile being unable to check boosted Dragonite and Garchomp, while dropping Triple Axel results in Weavile being checked by Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, Clefable, Skarmory, and Tapu Fini, even at +2. Icicle Crash can be used as an alternative option on Choice Band sets, with higher accuracy, a lack of contact, and a chance to flinch, which minimizes randomness and thus is particularly nice against Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Garchomp, and Zapdos. However, Icicle Crash sacrifices a lot of power and most notably fails to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Dragonite, and defensive Zapdos.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon, including Dragapult, Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf users like Kartana and Tapu Lele, can force Weavile to switch out. While all Weavile sets dislike revenge killers, Life Orb and Choice Band sets get put on an especially fast timer before they succumb to entry hazard damage if forced out repeatedly.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Melmetal, Ferrothorn, bulky Scizor, and physically defensive Heatran can switch into Weavile while also threatening to make progress through wallbreaking and setting entry hazards. However, Low Kick variants can bypass Steel-types weak to Fighting with correct prediction, although Weavile still risks a burn from Heatran's Flame Body.

**Water-types**: Water-types like Urshifu-R, Toxapex, and Tapu Fini can counter Weavile with their good physical bulk and resistance to Triple Axel. Urshifu-R and Tapu Fini additionally resist Knock Off, while Toxapex doesn't mind losing its item and can take damage from Knock Off well. Urshifu-R threatens to break through Weavile's teammates with its powerful attacks and threatens Weavile with Close Combat. Toxapex can disrupt Weavile and its teammates with moves like Toxic, Scald, and Knock Off to make free progress while having both Recover and Regenerator to stay healthy long-term. Tapu Fini can set up Calm Mind or punish switch-ins with Whirlpool or Trick while forcing Weavile out with the threat of Moonblast.

**Contact Punishers**: Pokemon that can trigger negative effects like status and chip damage through Rocky Helmet or an ability can punish almost all of Weavile's best options. Ferrothorn and physically defensive Heatran are the worst to face, as they have the bulk and typing to take multiple hits from Weavile; however, even Pokemon weak to Ice, like Garchomp and Zapdos, can be sacrificed to inflict negative effects in a pinch. Although Volcarona is crippled by Knock Off, bulky variants can threaten a burn on Weavile. Rocky Helmet users like Toxapex, Buzzwole, Clefable, Corviknight, and Skarmory can take on Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile while dealing significant damage back to it with Rocky Helmet.

However, Weavile cannot counter Dragapult without risking heavy chip from U-Turn or an outright OHKO from Draco Meteor, while physical Dragapult sets can easily dispatch Weavile as long as they're out of Ice Shard range. Weavile is held back by various contact punishing effects, including the previously mentioned Rocky Helmet but also Flame Body, Static and Iron Barbs. Swords Dance Weavile threatens heavy damage with Swords Dance boosted attacks and disrupts opposing teams with its Knock Off. Swords Dance enables Weavile to OHKO Pokemon like Choice Band Tyranitar and Kartana with Triple Axel while being able to heavily weaken Pokemon like Buzzwole and Skarmory for other physical attackers like Urshifu-R, Kartana, and Garchomp to finish off. Ice Shard is mainly useful for Garchomp, OHKOing it after it uses Scale Shot, also worth mentioning Dragon Dance Dragonite however other pokemon including weakened Rillaboom (would be good to specify your Ice Shard goes before their Grassy Glide) and Dragapult can also be picked off. Heavy-Duty Boots allow Weavile to last longer while being less reliant on Taunt, Defog, and Rapid Spin support, which is important to gain more opportunities to Knock Off and support its teams effort of breaking through. (Not big on the wording here, maybe something more direct like "The immunity to entry hazards granted by Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to..." Will let you decide) Additionally, Choice Scarf Pokemon are common and can force Weavile to come out and take Stealth Rock when coming back in again if Weavile runs another item. (Not really sure what you are trying to say here. Would probably remove instead) A Jolly nature is preferred on Weavile to tie with Modest Dragapult and other Jolly Weavile while outspeeding Tornadus-T. Adamant can be used instead, becoming slower than the aforementioned Pokemon but giving Weavile the capability to OHKO Pokemon like Bulky Volcarona and opposing Weavile at +2.

Weavile's excellence of making progress leads it to have many excellent partners that form powerful synergies with it. Future Sight users like Slowbro, Tapu Lele, and Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can help Weavile break through Pokemon like Toxapex, Buzzwole, and Urshifu. Outside of Future Sight, these pokemon form excellent cores with Weavile in other ways. (Think removing this part gives a better transition into the next idea) Steel-types like Melmetal, Heatran and Ferrothorn trying to absorb both Future Sight and Knock Off losing their items like Assault Vest and Leftovers greatly assists Tapu Lele in wallbreaking or cleaning up weakened teams. Galarian Slowking gains easy entry on the Water-types that Weavile can force in (such as Toxapex and Tapu Fini(?) Bit odd structure wise cause you mention Tapu Fini right after) while checking some of Weavile's revenge killers like Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele as well as Tapu Fini that counters Weavile. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapults STAB moves when combined. Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can also scout what move Choice Specs Dragapult locks into, allowing Weavile to safely come in on Shadow Ball. Slowbro can bring in Weavile safely with Teleport while countering Urshifu-R, defensive Buzzwole, and Melmetal. (Checking might be a better word to describe Slowbro vs Melmetal, specially non Rocky Helmet variants that have to either Teleport out or rely on burns) Entry Hazard setting teammates like Landorus, Heatran, and Ferrothorn are amazing teammates as Weavile's Knock Off removing boots enables their hazards to reach their full potential, benefitting not just Weavile and its Hazard setting teammate, but the entire team. These Pokemon have additional synergies with Weavile as well. Specially Defensive Landorus-T checks pokemon like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Dragapult that can threaten to KO Weavile, while Landorus-T can U-turn against Pokemon like opposing Landorus-T and Tornadus-T to bring in Weavile. Heatran benefits from Weavile knocking off Shed Shell from Toxapex, allowing Heatran to trap it, which in turn removes one of Weavile's counters. Ferrothorn's Spikes in conjunction with Weavile's Knock Off has potential to be far more potent than Stealth Rock, while Ferrothorn checks important Pokemon like Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini would add Bisharp here as well that can revenge kill or wall Weavile. Despite helping with the matchup, Weavile cannot handle Dragapult alone so specially defensive Pokemon like Tornadus Therian, Assault Vest Galarian Slowking, and Clefable can be used to assist against it. Weavile cannot safely switch in against most Pokemon which makes pivots like Tapu Koko and Landorus-T excellent partners. Tapu Koko can bring Weavile in against Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Landorus-T, and Garchomp, however both Pokemon struggle with Ferrothorn. Landorus-T is an excellent pivoting partner because it can punish their shared counter Buzzwole with Toxic and use U-turn to bring Weavile in on Flying-types like Tornadus-T, Zapdos, and opposing Landorus-T. (You already mentioned Landorus-T being able to U-turn before) Wallbreakers like Urshifu-R and Melmetal appreciate Weavile removing items from shared counters like Toxapex and Buzzwole, especially if they are running Rocky Helmet as the main moves that they use are multihit and contact. (There's much more that you can say about these 2 in particular. Urshifu may also take on the likes of Ferrothorn, Bisharp, Blaziken, Crawdaunt, physically Defensive Heatran, and can revenge kill Volcarona and Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Aqua Jet; Protective Pads Urshifu in particular can keep Buzzwole weakened with Taunt. Weavile in turn can threaten Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult. Melmetal can help against the same Fairy-types Galarian Slowking can)

Overall I feel like the structure in this part isnt very flexible to edit much. For example you could add Melmetal taking on the Fairies in a similar way Galarin Slowking way does, but its hard to do since you also mention Galarian Slowking as a Future Sight partner. This also makes it harder for me to know where to suggest other partners, as I would probably suggest Mew in the entry hazards part as it provides both Stealth Rock and Spikes, the latter of which annoys the Steel-types more. This isnt to say the strucure is bad, just that its harder for me to suggest what to add/change and where to do it.

Life Orb is an option over Heavy-Duty Boots on Swords Dance sets to make Weavile nearly unwallable after using Swords Dance, however Life Orb Weavile becomes very vulnerable to passive damage from Stealth Rock, Life Orb, Rocky Helmet, and Iron Barbs. (Here you can mention this is specially an option with Adamant nature and on Hyper Offense teams. Try to sell the set rather than focusing on its weaknesses. For example you OHKO Corviknight, Skarmory, defensive Buzzwole at+2 and after a round of Stealth Rock) Despite the sheer power provided by Life Orb, Weavile is still defensively checked by Urshifu-R, Melmetal, Quagsire, (Triple Axel actually outdamages recover. Would rather remove than go through the trouble of explaining this nicher interaction) and Tapu Fini at +2, while Ferrothorn, especially if holding Rocky Helmet, can often force a trade with +2 Weavile. Additionally, scarfers and Tapu Koko forcing Weavile out becomes much more punishing due to the lack of Heavy-Duty Boots, as Weavile will usually take Stealth Rock whenever it attempts to switch in again. Icicle Crash can be used as an alternative option on Choice Band sets with higher accuracy, no contact, and a chance to flinch preventing RNG and being particularly nice against pokemon like Ferrothorn, Garchomp, and Zapdos. However, Icicle Crash sacrifices a lot of power and most notably fails to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Dragonite, and Defensive Zapdos. Excadrill and Tapu Lele also gain the ability to swap into Icicle Crash, and unlike Triple Axel, Knock Off is only a roll to KO them. (You OHKO Lele with Knock Off, and Excadrill wont really switch here unless sand is up and they have like no option)

Mention Low Kick as an alternative on Swords Dance sets as with Life Orb and an Adamant nature it can OHKO Melmetal and Ferrothorn after a Swords Dance.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Immediately faster Pokemon including Choice Scarf users like Kartana, Tapu Lele, and Blacephalon, Dragapult, and Tapu Koko can force Weavile to swap out or faint. While all Weavile sets dislike revenge killers, Life Orb and Choice Band sets especially get put on a fast ticking timer before they succumb to Stealth Rock damage if forced out repeatedly.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Melmetal, Ferrothorn, and Physdef physically defensive Heatran can switch into Weavile, while threatening to make progress through wallbreaking or setting hazards. However, Choice Band variants with Low Kick Low Kick variants can bypass these Steel-types with correct prediction, although Weavile will still risk a burn from Heatran's Flame Body and this only applies if they attempt to switch directly into Weavile.

**Water-types**: Water Types like Urshifu-R, Toxapex and Tapu Fini can counter Weavile with their good physical bulk and resistance to Triple Axel. Urshifu and Tapu Fini additionally resist Knock Off, while Toxapex doesn't mind losing its item and can take Knock Off damage well. Urshifu-R in return can threaten to punch holes in Weavile's team, (This isnt very clear but I get the idea. Maybe try a different wording?) while Toxapex can disrupt Weavile's team with moves like Toxic, Scald, and Knock Off to make free progress while having Recover and Regenerator to stay healthy long term.

**Contact punishers**: Pokemon that can trigger negative effects like status and chip damage through Rocky Helmet or an ability can punish almost all of Weavile's best options. Ferrothorn and physically defensive Heatran are the worst to face, as they have the bulk and typing to take multiple hits from Weavile, however even Pokemon weak to Ice like Garchomp and Zapdos can still be sacrificed for negative effects in a pinch. (Could probably mention Rocky Helmet Toxapex, Corviknight, and Skarmory, as well, as they can take on Heavy-Duty Boots variants pretty well)

With its low risk, high reward Knock Off backed up by Triple Axel and an excellent speed tier - outspeeding the entire unboosted metagame barring Dragapult, Tapu Koko, and Zeraora - allowing it to fire off its strong attacks without taking a hit itself, Weavile establishes itself as a top threat every team needs to be prepared for. (Try to focus more on Weavile's positives since the last third of this is full of negatives. You could mention its ability to threaten many popular Pokemon such as Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Slowbro gives it several entry points and thus plenty of room to fire off Knock Off throughout the game. The part I highlighted could be removed since its just focusing more on the negatives and you already explain it in detail below, but you can decide)

Ice Shard is mainly useful for Swords Damce Garchomp and Dragon Dance Dragonite, OHKOing them Scale Shot or small chip damage respectively, (Just make this part clearer since it reads pretty odd) however other pokemon including weakened Rillaboom before it can Grassy Glide and Dragapult can also be picked off. The immunity to hazards granted by Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to last longer while being less reliant on Taunt, Defog, and Rapid Spin support, which is important to gain more opportunities to Knock Off and support its teams effort of breaking through. A Jolly nature is preferred on Weavile to tie with Modest Dragapult and other Jolly Weavile while outspeeding Tornadus-T. (Would be good to switch this around so the "outspeeding Torn-T" part goes before the speed ties) Adamant can be used instead, becoming slower than the aforementioned Pokemon but giving Weavile the capability to OHKO Pokemon like Bulky Volcarona and opposing Weavile at +2.

Weavile's excellence of making progress leads it to have many excellent partners that form powerful synergies with it. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapults STAB moves when combined. Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can also scout what move Choice Specs Dragapult locks into, allowing Weavile to safely come in on Shadow Ball. (Might be good to move the Tapu Lele sentence in the part where you talk about Tapu Lele, and the Galarian Slowking part where you talk about it. Otherwise you are doing Lele->Gking->Lele->Gking) Slowbro can bring in Weavile safely with Teleport while checking Urshifu-R, defensive Buzzwole, and Melmetal. Entry Hazard setting teammates like Landorus, Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mew are amazing teammates as Weavile's Knock Off removing boots enables their hazards to reach their full potential, benefitting not just Weavile and its Hazard setting teammate, but the entire team. Protective Pads Urshifu-R in particular (Not sure, just trying to think of a way to further explain this is a continuation of the Urshifu-R sentence before this) can Taunt Buzzwole to keep it from recovering to help Weavile break through it. In return, Weavile can threaten Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult for Urshifu-R. Melmetal can check Fairy-types like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Clefable for Weavile. (You could mention Weavile taking on Zapdos and Garchomp for Melmetal, mainly to have something Weavile does in turn)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Immediately faster Pokemon including Choice Scarf users like Kartana, Tapu Lele, and Blacephalon, Dragapult, and Tapu Koko (Feel free to leave as is or change the order so it doesnt read like "Choice Scarf Dragapult", up to you) can force Weavile to swap out or faint. While all Weavile sets dislike revenge killers, Life Orb and Choice Band sets especially get put on a fast ticking timer before they succumb to Stealth Rock damage if forced out repeatedly.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Melmetal, Ferrothorn, and physically defensive Heatran can switch into Weavile, while threatening to make progress through wallbreaking or setting hazards. However, Low Kick variants can bypass these Steel-types with correct prediction, although Weavile will still risk a burn from Heatran's Flame Body and this only applies if they attempt to switch directly into Weavile. (You could mention bulky Scizor as well, as it can take particularly well on Heavy-Duty Boots variants, doesnt mind Low Kick, and has reliable recovery in Roost unlike the 3 Pokemon you mentioned above)

**Water-types**: Water Types like Urshifu-R, Toxapex, (AC) and Tapu Fini can counter Weavile with their good physical bulk and resistance to Triple Axel. Urshifu and Tapu Fini additionally resist Knock Off, while Toxapex doesn't mind losing its item and can take Knock Off damage well. Urshifu-R threatens to break through Weavile's team with its powerful attacks, while Toxapex can disrupt Weavile's team with moves like Toxic, Scald, and Knock Off to make free progress while having Recover and Regenerator to stay healthy long term.

Rocky Helmet users like Toxapex, Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory can easily take on Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile while dealing significant damage with Rocky Helmet. (Could mention bulky Volcarona in some way)

[OVERVIEW]
With its low risk, high reward Knock Off backed up by Triple Axel and an excellent speed tier - outspeeding the entire unboosted metagame barring Dragapult, Tapu Koko, and Zeraora, - allowing it to fire off its strong attacks without taking a hit itself, Weavile establishes itself as a top threat every team needs to be prepared for. Knock Off and Triple Axel have amazing synergy, as Triple Axel's main flaw is that Rocky Helmet users that resist Ice or can take a Triple Axel (Pokemon that resist Ice can naturally take a Triple Axel assuming that they don't have pitiful bulk, just mention the latter) can punish Weavile with large damage (pretty sure that 'large damage' is grammatically incorrect, please rewrite this), however but Knock Off can remove Rocky Helmet from these Pokemon, allowing Weavile to use Triple Axel more freely. Its Dark- and Ice-type STAB combination also allows it to threaten many tier staples with an OHKO such as Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Slowbro, forcing out these Pokemon to gain opportunities to spam Knock Off. Weavile also serves as a valuable check to Swords Dance Garchomp and Choice Specs Dragapult, with its Ice Shard OHKOing Garchomp after its defense is dropped by Scale Shot and serving as one of the tier's only Ghost resists. However, Weavile is held back by various contact punishing effects, including the previously mentioned Rocky Helmet but also Flame Body, Static and Iron Barbs. Flame Body Heatran and Volcarona can take Triple Axel with ease while being favored to inflict a Bburn on Weavile, ruining its offensive capabilities. Zapdos cannot safely switch in to into Weavile, however it but has favorable odds to inflict Pparalysis when Triple Axel is used, and a Pparalyzed Weavile is nearly useless in many matchups due to its poor bulk and defensive typing, normally compensated for by Weavile's speed (mentioning this feels unnecessary as you have already mentioned how speed is crucial to Weavile being a top Pokemon in the tier).

Swords Dance Weavile threatens heavy damage with Swords Dance boosted attacks and disrupts opposing teams with its Knock Off. Swords Dance enables Weavile to OHKO Pokemon like Choice Band Tyranitar and Kartana with Triple Axel after a boost., while being able to heavily weaken Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory for other physical attackers like Urshifu-R, Kartana, and Garchomp to finish off. Ice Shard is mainly useful for Swords Damnce Garchomp and Dragon Dance Dragonite, OHKOing them after using they use Scale Shot or takeing chip damage respectively, however other pokemon including weakened Rillaboom before it can Grassy Glide (don't think this needs to be mentioned, Weavile outprioritising Rillaboom with Ice Shard should be common knowledge, and beginners can learn by following this analysis and clicking it against Rillaboom :tyke:) and Dragapult can also be picked off. The immunity to hazards granted by Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to last longer while being less reliant on Taunt, Defog, and Rapid Spin support, which is important to gain more opportunities to Knock Off and support its team's effort of breaking through (breaking through what, please specify). A Jolly nature is preferred on Weavile to outspeed Tornadus-T while tying with with Modest Dragapult and other Jolly Weavile. Adamant can be used instead, becoming slower than the aforementioned Pokemon but giving Weavile the capability to OHKO Pokemon like Bulky Volcarona (Pokemon like physically defensive Clefable are probably more relevant here) and opposing Weavile at +2.

Team Options
========

Weavile's excellence of making progress leads it to have many excellent partners that form powerful synergies with it. (this is a very clunky sentence, please reword this) Future Sight users like Slowbro, Tapu Lele, and Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can help Weavile break through Pokemon checks like Toxapex, Buzzwole, and Urshifu-R. Steel-types like Melmetal, Heatran and Ferrothorn trying to absorb both Future Sight and Knock Off losing their items like Assault Vest and Leftovers in the process greatly assists Tapu Lele in wallbreaking or cleaning up weakened teams. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapult's STAB moves when combined. Galarian Slowking gains easy entry on one of Weavile's best checks in Toxapex while checking some of Weavile's revenge killers like Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, as well as Tapu Fini, that a counters to Weavile. Entry Hhazard setting teammates like Landorus-T, Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mew (Mew is hardly relevant for most team structures with Weavile, mention more commonly used Pokemon like Clefable/Garchomp/etc) are amazing teammates as Weavile's Knock Off removing boots enables their hazards to reach their full potential by removing Heavy-Duty Boots, benefitting not just Weavile and its Hazard setting teammate, but the entire team. These Pokemon have additional synergies with Weavile as well. Specially Defensive Landorus-T checks pokemon like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Dragapult that can threaten to KO Weavile, while Landorus-T can U-turn against Pokemon like opposing Landorus-T and Tornadus-T to bring in Weavile (you can add how Landorus-T's U-turn is quite slow, so it can bring Weavile in safely against the aforementioned Pokmeon). Heatran benefits from Weavile knocking off Shed Shell from Toxapex, allowing Heatran to trap it, which in turn removes one of Weavile's counters. Ferrothorn's Spikes in conjunction with Weavile's Knock Off has potential to be far more potent than Stealth Rock, while Ferrothorn checks important Pokemon like Scarf Tapu Lele (it checks Tapu Lele quite well in general with a specially defensive spread), Tapu Koko, Tapu Fini, and Bisharp (Bisharp is not walling anything and is not very relevant in the current SS OU metagame, please mention real Pokemon like Melmetal) that can revenge kill or wall Weavile. Mew is a great fit on Hyper Offense, for Life Orb Weavile especially, being able to as it can deny opposing hazards with Taunt and setting Spikes to wear down Steel-types checks like Melmetal and Ferrothorn. Despite helping with the matchup, Weavile cannot handle Dragapult alone so specially defensive Pokemon like Assault Vest Tornadus-Therian, Assault Vest Galarian Slowking (this is not a real Dragapult check, please mention Pokemon that do not crumple to two Shadow Balls more than 55% of the time, e.g. Tapu Fini, Heatran and Landorus-T), and Clefable (you might want to mention that Clefable needs to run a specially defensive spread for this) can be used to assist against it. Weavile cannot safely switch in against most Pokemon, which makes pivots like Tapu Koko and Landorus-T excellent partners. Tapu Koko can bring Weavile in with U-turn against Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Landorus-T, and Garchomp, however both Pokemon struggle with Ferrothorn (if you're going to mention this, you might want to also bring up some offensive partners that eat Ferrothorn alive, e.g. Heatran and Victini). Wallbreakers like Urshifu-R and Melmetal appreciate Weavile removing items from shared counters like Toxapex and Buzzwole, especially if they are running Rocky Helmet as their main moves that they use are multihit and contact. Urshifu-R can also break through Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and revenge kill Bisharp, Blaziken, Volcarona, and Blacephalon (just mention how Urshifu-R can offensively pressure Blaziken, boosted Volcarona and Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Aqua Jet). Protective Pads Urshifu-R in particular can Taunt Buzzwole to keep prevent it from recovering to help Weavile break through it. In return, Weavile can threaten Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult for Urshifu-R. Melmetal can check Fairy-types like Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Clefable for Weavile while Weavile can take on Zapdos and Garchomp (you really want to mention Heatran here as well).

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Life Orb is an option over Heavy-Duty Boots on Swords Dance sets with an Adamant nature on Hyper Offense to make Weavile nearly unwallable after using Swords Dance, OHKOing Pokemon that would otherwise counter it like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Defensive Buzzwole after a Swords Dance boost and Stealth Rock,. Hhowever, Life Orb Weavile becomes very vulnerable to passive damage from Stealth Rock, Life Orb, Rocky Helmet, and Iron Barbs. Despite the sheer power provided by Life Orb, Weavile is still defensively checked by Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Tapu Fini at +2, while Ferrothorn, especially if holding Rocky Helmet, can often force a trade with +2 Weavile. Additionally, Choice Scarf users and Tapu Koko forcing Weavile out becomes much more punishing due to the lack of Heavy-Duty Boots, as Weavile will usually take Stealth Rock hazard damage whenever it attempts to switch in again. Low Kick can be used with Life Orb to OHKO Ferrothorn and Melmetal after a Swords Dance and opposing Weavile before a Swords Dance, but giving up Ice Shard results in Weavile being unable to check Dragonite and Garchomp while dropping Triple Axel results in Weavile being checked by Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, Clefable, Skarmory, and Tapu Fini at +2. (honestly Low Kick also applies to standard SD sets, please rewrite this to talk about the move in general) Icicle Crash can be used as an alternative option on Choice Band sets with higher accuracy, no contact, and a chance to flinch preventing RNG and being particularly nice against pokemon like Ferrothorn, Garchomp, and Zapdos. However, Icicle Crash sacrifices a lot of power and most notably fails to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Dragonite, and Defensive Zapdos.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Immediately fFaster Pokemon including Dragapult, Blacephalon (Only Blacephalon that outspeeds Weavile is Choice Scarf, please check speed tiers because this is a repeated mistake. If you want a Pokemon that naturally outspeeds Weavile while threatening it, Zeraora is a good choice.), Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf users like Kartana and Tapu Lele can force Weavile to swap out or faint. While all Weavile sets dislike revenge killers, Life Orb and Choice Band sets especially get put on a fast ticking timer before they succumb to Stealth Rock entry hazard damage if forced out repeatedly.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types like Melmetal, Ferrothorn, bulky Scizor, and physically defensive Heatran can switch into Weavile, while threatening to make progress through wallbreaking or setting hazards. However, Low Kick variants can bypass these Steel-types with correct prediction (please note that bulky Scizor is not really threatened by Low Kick due to its Fighting-type neutrality and access to Roost), although Weavile will still risk a burn from Heatran's Flame Body and this only applies if they attempt to switch directly into Weavile. (Corv and Skarm are pretty good checks to Weavile despite their neutrality to Ice-type moves, please mention them as well)

**Water-types**: Water Types like Urshifu-R, Toxapex, and Tapu Fini can counter Weavile with their good physical bulk and resistance to Triple Axel. (mention what Fini does with the free turn, e.g. set up or do something annoying with its whirlpool/trick sets)

Volcarona is crippled by Knock Off, however but bulky variants can threaten Burn on Weavile. Rocky Helmet users like Toxapex, Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory (you can mention Clef as well) can easily take on Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile while dealing significant damage with Rocky Helmet.

Two more things:
1. Giving up Ice Shard for Low Kick results in Weavile being unable to check boosted Dragonite and Garchomp while dropping Triple Axel results in Weavile being checked by Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, Clefable, Skarmory, and Tapu Fini even at +2.

2. and Tapu Fini can set up Calm Mind or punish switch-ins with Whirlpool or Trick.

Everything else looks fine :woop:

However, Weavile is held back by various contact punishing-related effects due to the multi-hit nature of Triple Axel not sure what the exact terminology is but this is the precedent i found, including the previously mentioned Rocky Helmet and Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs, which can inflict significant chip damage, but also Heatran and Volcarona's Flame Body,and Zapdos's Static, which have high odds of inflicting a burn or paralysis respectively, both of which cripple Weavile's offensive capacity. Flame Body Heatran and Volcarona can take Triple Axel with ease while being favored to inflict a burn on Weavile, ruining its offensive capabilities. Zapdos cannot safely switch into Weavile, but has favorable odds to inflict paralysis when Triple Axel is used, and a paralyzed Weavile is nearly useless in many matchups due to its poor bulk and defensive typing. imo discussing this in detail in checks and counters is enough; in intro it starts to get wordy and overly specific, rewording it like i did keeps it pretty concise and allows further explanation in c&c.

Swords Dance enables Weavile to OHKO Pokemon like Choice Band Tyranitar and Kartana with Triple Axel after a boost, while being able to heavily weaken Pokemon like Buzzwole, Corviknight, and Skarmory for other physical attackersteammates like Urshifu-R, Kartana, and Garchomp to finish off. Ice Shard is mainly useful for Swords Dance Garchomp and Dragon Dance Dragonite, OHKOing them after they use Scale Shot or take chip damage respectivelyreword this, it is very clunky right now, however other pokemon including weakened Rillaboom and Dragapult can also be picked offwhile also being able to do significant damage to Pokemon which would otherwise move before it, such as Dragapult and Rillaboom. The immunity to entry hazards granted by Heavy-Duty Boots allows Weavile to last longer while being less reliant on Taunt, Defog, and Rapid Spin support, which is important to gain more opportunities to Knock Off and support its team's effort of breaking through opposing teams. A Jolly nature is preferred on Weavile to outspeed Tornadus-T while tying not sure what the terminology for this is but pretty sure this is correct with with Modest Dragapult and other Jolly Weavile. An Adamant nature can be used instead, becoming slowermaking Weavile slower than the aforementioned Pokemon but giving Weavileit the capability to OHKO Pokemon like Bbulky Volcarona, Clefable, and opposing Weavile at +2after a Swords Dance.

Weavile's excellentce of wallbreaking and its utility in item removal allow it to form powerful synergyies with many Pokemon. Future Sight users likesuch as Slowbro, Tapu Lele, and Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can help Weavile break through checks like Toxapex, Buzzwole, and Urshifu-R such as is better than like typically; like denotes similarity while such as denotes inclusion, just for the future. Steel-types likesuch as Melmetal, Heatran, and Ferrothorn trying tofind great difficulty in absorbing both Future Sight and Knock Off, typically losing their items like Assault Vest and Leftovers in the process. This greatly assists Tapu Lele in both wallbreaking orand cleaning up weakened teams. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapult's STAB moves not sure this is necessary to include, but if it is, say something in more active terms, such as "Weavile and Tapu Lele in tandem are also able to act as switch-ins to Dragapult's Shadow Ball and Draco Meteor respectively". Galarian Slowking gains easy entryeasily switches in on one of Weavile's best checks in Toxapex while checking some of Weavile's revenge killers likesuch as Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, as well; Galarian Slowking also checks as Tapu Fini, a counter to Weavile. Assault Vest Galarian Slowking can also scout whatwhich move Choice Specs Dragapult locks into, providing the opportunity for Weavile to safely comeswitch in on Shadow Ball. Slowbro can bring inpivot to Weavile safely withvia Teleport while checking Urshifu-R, defensive Buzzwole, and Melmetal.add something about why checking those guys are important Entry hazard setting tTeammates which set hazards likesuch as Landorus-T, Heatran, Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Garchomp are amazing teammates as Weavile's Knock Off enables their hazards to reach their full potential by removing Heavy-Duty Boots. These Pokemon have additional synergies with Weavile as well. Specially Defensive Landorus-T checks pPokemon likesuch as Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Dragapult thatwhich can threaten Weavile, while Landorus-T can U-turnpivot against Pokemon like opposing Landorus-T and Tornadus-T to bring in Weavile safely with a slow U-turn. Heatran benefits from Weavile knocking offremoving Shed Shell from Toxapex, allowing Heatran to trap it, which in turn removes one of Weavile's counters. Ferrothorn's Spikes in conjunction with Weavile's Knock Off has the potential to be far more potent than Stealth Rocki am not sure that this sentence is needed as you talk about hazards earlier including Ferro, so this just seems like it is providing a comparison to rocks support, which you can keep if you want i suppose, while Ferrothorn checks important Pokemon likesuch as Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko and Tapu Fini thatwhich can revenge kill or wall Weavile.

Mew is a great fitpartner for Weavile on Hyper Offense, for Life Orb Weavile especially for Life Orb Weavile, as it can deny opposing hazards with Taunt and set Spikes to wear down Steel-type checks likesuch as Melmetal and Ferrothorn. Despite helping with the matchup, Weavile cannot handle Dragapult alone; not sure what you mean here; reword this and preferably do not use words like handle/deal with; whatever pokemon or aspect which is "helping with the matchup" is not clear here so specially defensive Pokemon like Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Clefable can be used to assist against it. Weavile cannot safely switch in against most Pokemon, which makes pivots like Tapu Koko and Landorus-T excellent partners. Tapu Koko can bring Weavile in with U-turn against Pokemon likesuch as Galarian Slowking, Landorus-T, and Garchomp,; however, both Pokemon struggle withto KO Ferrothorn, thereforeso Fire-types like Heatran and Victini can be used alongside Tapu Koko and Weavile to threaten Ferrothorn. Wallbreakers likesuch as Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Heatran appreciate Weavile removing items from shared counters like Toxapex and Buzzwole, especially if they are runningto remove Rocky Helmet as their main moves are multihit and contactfor these physical attackers you mentioned heatran but none of this sentence was applicable to it. Urshifu-R can also break through Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and additionally pressures Blaziken, boosted Volcarona, and Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Aqua Jet. which is important how? Protective Pads Urshifu-R in particular can Taunt Buzzwole to prevent it from recovering to help Weavile break through it. you have to explain this better, right now it sounds like shifu taunts buzz for weav to come in right after when you're trying to say shifu chips buzz so weav deals with it better lategame In return, Weavile can threaten Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult how? for Urshifu-R. Melmetal and Heatran can check Fairy-types likesuch as Choice Scarf Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Clefable for Weavile while Weavile can take onthreaten Ground-types like Garchomp and Landorus-T for them.

Life Orb is an option over Heavy-Duty Boots on Swords Dance sets with an Adamant nature on Hyper Offense to makeboost Weavile's damage to staggering levelsnearly unwallable after using Swords Dance, OHKOing Pokemon that would otherwise counter it likesuch as Corviknight, Skarmory, and Defensive Buzzwole after a Swords Dance boost and Stealth Rock damage. However, Life Orb Weavile becomes very vulnerable to passive damage from Stealth Rock, Life Orb, Rocky Helmet, and Iron Barbs. Despite the sheer power provided by Life Orb, Weavile is still checked by Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Tapu Fini at +2, while Ferrothorn, especially if holding Rocky Helmet, can often force a trade with +2 Life Orb Weavile will typically faint to chip damage in the process of KOing Ferrothorn, especially if it is holding a Rocky Helmet. Additionally, Choice Scarf users and Tapu Koko forcing Weavile out becomes much more punishingthe use of Life Orb punishes Weavile much more if it is forced out due to the lack of Heavy-Duty Boots, as; Weavile will usually take hazard damage whenever it attempts to switches in again. Low Kick can be used with or without a Life Orb, without a Life Orb Low Kick can be used to deal heavy damage to Ferrothorn and Bbulky Melmetal while OHKOing Heatran at +2, while with a Life Orb, Low Kick can OHKO opposing Weavile without a boost, while OHKOing Ferrothorn and Melmetal after a Swords Dance and opposing Weavile before a Swords Dance. The use of Low Kick also necessitates the replacement of a moveslot; Ggiving up Ice Shard for Low Kick results in Weavile being unable to check boosted Dragonite and Garchomp, while dropping Triple Axel results in Weavile being checked by Pokemon likesuch as Buzzwole, Corviknight, Clefable, Skarmory, and Tapu Fini even at +2. Icicle Crash can be used as an alternative option on Choice Band sets with higher accuracy, no contact, and a chance to flinch preventing RNGimproving Weavile's reliability and being particularly niceuseful against pokemon like Ferrothorn, Garchomp, and Zapdos. However, Icicle Crash sacrifices a lot of power and most notably fails to KO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Dragonite, and Ddefensive Zapdos.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Pokemon**: Faster Pokemon including Dragapult, Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and Choice Scarf users likesuch as Kartana and Tapu Lele can force Weavile to swap out. While all Weavile sets dislike revenge killers, Life Orb and Choice Band sets especially get put on a fast timer beforeare especially vulnerable as they often succumb to entry hazard damage if forced out repeatedly.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types likesuch as Melmetal, Ferrothorn, bulky Scizor, and physically defensive Heatran can switch into Weavile and force it out, while threatening to make progress through wallbreaking or setting hazards. However, Low Kick variants can bypass Steel-types weak to Fighting with correct prediction, although Weavile will still risk a burn from Heatran's Flame Body.

**Water-types**: Water Types like Urshifu-R, Toxapex, and Tapu Fini can counter i won't touch this but is it accurate to deem them all counters? more on qc side but raising that thought Weavile with their good physical bulk and resistance to Triple Axel. Urshifu and Tapu Fini additionally resist Knock Off, while Toxapex doesn't mind losing its item and can take Knock Off damage well. Urshifu-R threatens to break through Weavile's team with its powerful attacks, Toxapex can disrupt Weavile's team with moves like Toxic, Scald, and Knock Off to make free progress while having Recover and Regenerator to stay healthy long term, and Tapu Fini can set up Calm Mind or punish switch-ins with Whirlpool or Trick. something is off about this description of interactions; this is again a bit qc-ey but you can talk about how it affects weav itself too; this would create better parallel structure with the rest of the analysis.

**Contact punishers-related Effects** again not sure about terminology but this is the term used in some other analyses: Pokemon that can trigger negative effects like status and chip damage through Rocky Helmet or an ability can punish almost all of Weavile's best options. Ferrothorn and physically defensive Heatran create are the worstparticularly difficult matchups to face, as they have the bulk and typing to take multiple hits from Weavile and retaliate with?, however even Pokemon weak to Ice like Garchomp and Zapdos can be sacrificed for negative effects in a pinch. Volcarona is crippled by Knock Off, but bulky variants can threaten Burn on Weavile. Rocky Helmet users likesuch as Toxapex, Buzzwole, Clefable, Corviknight, and Skarmory can take on Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile while dealing significant damage with Rocky Helmet. expand on this with the stuff you talked about in overview with regards to static/flame body and iron barbs (rough skin too probably)

I'll answer these since you asked!

1. The definition of a counter from Smogon is 'Pokémon A counters Pokémon B if Pokémon A can manually switch into Pokémon B and still win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax.'. Urshifu-R, Toxapex, and Tapu Fini can all manually switch into Weavile and win every time barring hax: Urshifu and Tapu Fini resist both of Weavile's STABs and can threaten a KO back with their STAB moves after taking a second hit, while Toxapex can get into a scald/haze war against Weavile that it can only lose if the Weavile user gets extremely lucky and lands multiple critical hits. All of them thus meet the requirements for being a Weavile counter :woop:.

2. This is a fair point. veti, please add what I mentioned in 1 to the section (namely Urshifu threatening Weavile with CC/SS, Fini doing the same with Moonblast, and Toxapex doing Scald/Haze stuff)!

Weavile also serves as a valuable check to Swords Dance Garchomp and Choice Specs Dragapult, with its Ice Shard OHKOing Garchomp after its dDefense is dropped by Scale Shot and serving as one of the tier's only Ghost resistsresisting Dragapult's Shadow Ball since you talk about Pult specifically, best to keep that structure; "resist" is never used as a noun in analyses.
Not quibbling with your grammar, but it is important to note that Weavile is one of the few viable Pokemon in the metagame that resist Shadow Ball: Bisharp gets 2HKOed after coming in on a layer of Spikes while Mandibuzz is simply not that usable in the tier.

I'm also not sure what sort of AM check are you exactly doing: why are there so many QC checks when half of them miss the point? I appreciate you trying to help out and some of your suggestions are genuinely helpful, but suggesting so many things that should be done by the QC team as an AMGP writer feels a bit awkward when a fair amount of your QC suggestions are either inaccurate or unnecessary (e.g. besides what I have pointed out, the analysis already mentioned how Weavile threatens Zapdos, Dragonite, and Dragapult before the Urshifu-R bit in Team Options, repeating what's been said isn't exactly necessary).

Edit: Just noticed that the Smogon link was invalid, I've now changed it to the one that I was referring to.

[OVERVIEW]
With its low-risk, high-reward Knock Off backed up by Triple Axel and an excellent speed Speed tier— outspeeding which allows it to outspeed the entire unboosted metagame barring Dragapult, Tapu Koko, and Zeraora (RC) allowing it to and fire off its strong attacks without taking a hit itself—Weavile establishes itself as a top threat every team needs to be prepared for. Its Dark- and Ice-type Dark / Ice STAB combination also allows it to threaten many tier staples such as Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Slowbro (example should be next to category) with an OHKO, such as Landorus-T, Tornadus-T, Galarian Slowking, and Slowbro, forcing out these Pokemon to gain opportunities to spam Knock Off. Weavile also serves as a valuable check to Swords Dance Garchomp and Choice Specs Dragapult, with its Ice Shard OHKOing Garchomp after its Defense is dropped by Scale Shot, as well as serving as one of the tier's only Ghost-type resists Ghost-resistant Pokemon (shouldn't use "resists" as a noun). However, Weavile is held back by various contact-punishing effects, including the previously mentioned Rocky Helmet but also as well as (not really contrasting) Flame Body, Static, and Iron Barbs.

Weavile's excellence at wallbreaking and removing items allow allows it to form powerful synergies with many Pokemon. Tapu Lele and Weavile also provide answers to both of Dragapult's STAB moves types. Entry hazard-setting (AH) teammates like Landorus-T, Heatran, Ferrothorn, Clefable, and Garchomp are amazing teammates partners (avoiding "teammates" repetition), as Weavile's Knock Off enables their hazards to reach their full potential by removing Heavy-Duty Boots. These Pokemon have additional synergies with Weavile as well. Specially Defensive defensive (set names aren't capitalized) Landorus-T checks Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Zeraora, and Dragapult that can threaten Weavile, while Landorus-T and it can also (don't want to repeat if possible, and contrasting while doesn't really fit here) use a slow U-turn against Pokemon like opposing Landorus-T and Tornadus-T to bring in Weavile safely. Heatran benefits from Weavile knocking off removing (no move names as verbs, even lowercase/implied) Shed Shell from Toxapex, allowing Heatran to trap it, which in turn removes one of Weavile's counters. Ferrothorn's Spikes in conjunction with Weavile's Knock Off has potential to be far more potent than Stealth Rock, while and Ferrothorn also checks important Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Tapu Koko, and Tapu Fini that can revenge kill or wall Weavile. Mew is a great teammate on hyper offense (RC) for Life Orb Weavile especially, as it can both deny opposing entry hazards with Taunt and set Spikes to wear down Steel-type checks like Melmetal and Ferrothorn. Despite helping with the matchup, Weavile cannot handle Dragapult alone, so specially defensive Pokemon like Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Clefable can be used to assist against it. Weavile cannot safely switch in against most Pokemon, which makes pivots like Tapu Koko and Landorus-T excellent partners. Tapu Koko can bring Weavile in with U-turn against Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Landorus-T, and Garchomp; however, both Pokemon it and Weavile (not recent enough to be unclear) struggle with Ferrothorn. (replaced semicolon with period- don't want to link 3 sentences in a row with semis) therefore Therefore, Fire-types like Heatran and Victini can be used alongside Tapu Koko and Weavile them (now you can reference) to threaten Ferrothorn. Wallbreakers like Urshifu-R, Melmetal, and Heatran appreciate Weavile removing items from shared counters like Toxapex and Buzzwole, especially if they are running Rocky Helmet, as their these wallbreakers' main attacks are both multi-hit and contact. Urshifu-R can also break through Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and pressure Blaziken, boosted Volcarona, and Choice Scarf Blacephalon with Aqua Jet. Protective Pads Urshifu-R, in particular, can use Taunt against Buzzwole to prevent it from recovering, (AC) which helps Weavile break through it.

Life Orb is an option over Heavy-Duty Boots on Swords Dance sets with an Adamant nature on hyper offense to make Weavile nearly unwallable after using Swords Dance, as it OHKOes lets Weavile OHKO Pokemon that would otherwise counter it, like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Defensive defensive Buzzwole, (AC) at +2 after Stealth Rock. Low Kick can be used both with or and without a Life Orb. Without a Life Orb, Low Kick can be used to deal heavy damage to Ferrothorn and Bulky bulky Melmetal while OHKOing Heatran at +2, while with a Life Orb, Low Kick can OHKO Ferrothorn and Melmetal after a Swords Dance and opposing Weavile before a Swords Dance. Icicle Crash can be used as an alternative option on Choice Band sets, with higher accuracy, a lack of contact, and a chance to flinch, which minimizes RNG which randomness and thus (avoid repeating which) is particularly nice against Pokemon like Ferrothorn, Garchomp, and Zapdos. However, Icicle Crash sacrifices a lot of power and most notably fails to OHKO Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Dragonite, and defensive Zapdos.
