Check:
look at this little guy, aren’t they so cute? They’re also an absolute menace for thunder god.
I’m submitting the bulky nasty plot set, with enough speed to outspeed Jolly Gyarados and Slither Wing.

Rotom’s typing makes it notorious for checking extremely random combinations of Pokémon. Here, Rotom resists and eats electric stab quite comfortably, and is only ever worried about focus blast. Here’s what that looks like:
+2 252 SpA Thundurus-Therian Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 44 SpD Rotom-Heat: 256-302 (84.4 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
narrowly avoids an OHKO, so Rotom needs to be at full health to get damage off, but in return, Thundurus needs to gamble on focus blast or risks doing next to nothing to Rotom. The real reason I’m a big fan of Rotom into Thundurus though, is that it eats a Tera blast fly from nasty plot Thundurus as well, an arguably more common option than focus blast, which is something the grass type checks can’t boast. Rotom can’t kill Thundurus in return, but does significant damage, enough for almost anything faster to revenge kill.
0 SpA Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Thundurus-Therian: 175-207 (58.5 - 69.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Iron leaves is one of those pokemon that if you haven’t played against it much, you might think it’s pretty frail. Its bulk on both sides of the spectrum is actually fantastic for an offensive pokemon, and its typing allows it to comfortably eat multiple hits from Nasty Plot Thundundundurus lacking Tera Blast Fly.
+2 252 SpA Thundurus-Therian Thunderbolt vs. 96 HP / 0 SpD Iron Leaves: 149-176 (43.1 - 51%) -- 3.9% chance to 2HKO
Leaves can switch in, let thundurus get to +2, and either set up if the opponent has used Tera, or just start hitting it in the case the thundurus could Tera Blast. Psyblade is a clean 2HKO from unboosted Iron Leaves. It’s even faster than Thundurus without its booster energy, meaning it can switch in any time as long as it isn’t critically low on health.
