Welcome to DLC 2, everyone. Hope you're all having fun. To kick off DLC 2, we've got the base member of the Tao trio in...Kyurem!

:sv/kyurem:
Kyurem @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tera Blast
- Freeze-Dry
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power

Choice Specs Kyurem is the terror it always was, with the bonus of being able to Terastallize out of its Ice typing if it needs to do so. Tera Fairy Tera Blast, suggested by Morkal, lets Kyurem flip the script on opposing Dragon- and Dark-types like Dragapult and Darkrai and not have to drop its Special Attack while doing so. It also forms a nasty offensive combo with Earth Power, letting Kyurem pose a major threat to most of the metagame. Freeze-Dry has been a staple on Kyurem for every instance of its availability, hitting Water-types incredibly hard. Finally, Draco Meteor is a ludicrously powerful move that can rip holes in opposing teams. What can withstand the freezing assault of this dragon?

Submissions close Sunday, December 24th, at 11:59 PM EST (GMT-5)

Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Make It Rain
- Trick
- Focus Blast

Kyurem should have picked another Tera type. Fairy isn't helping it against Steel-types.

252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 434-512 (110.9 - 130.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Tera Fairy Kyurem: 434-512 (110.9 - 130.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

- Knock Off

Specially Defensive Clefable walls this Kyurem and has been sighted in at least one post-Indigo Disk RMT. Against Tera Fairy Kyurem, you'll get there eventually. If you're having too rough a time, Knock Off those Choice Specs.

252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable: 133-157 (33.7 - 39.8%) -- 27.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Clefable: 113-134 (28.6 - 34%) -- 99% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Tachyon Cutter
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch

Iron Crown is faster than Kyurem, and Kyurem is weak to Steel whether it teras or not.

252 SpA Choice Specs Iron Crown Tachyon Cutter (2 hits) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 508-604 (129.9 - 154.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Tera Type: Water
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Stealth Rock

Kyurem can't do much of anything to Blissey unless Blissey is frozen for several turns in a row, and Calm Mind helps to mitigate that risk.

252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 252+ SpD Blissey: 186-220 (28.5 - 33.7%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO

Scizor @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Oops, you're weak to Steel-types no matter what? Get bullet punched, you absolute fool. Does require Tera investment though as BP isn't a clean OHKO without it, but if Tera isn't in play you can CC, and Scizor can take any one hit from Kyurem assuming you get in free.

252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 236 HP / 0 SpD Scizor: 191-225 (56.1 - 66.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 236 HP / 0 SpD Scizor: 177-209 (52 - 61.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Technician Tera Steel Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 472-556 (120.7 - 142.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Scizor Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 470-554 (120.2 - 141.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Check: :jirachi:
Jirachi @ Choice Band
Ability: Serene Grace
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 Atk / 36 SpD / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Drain Punch
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

If Jirachi gets a free switch in, Kyurem will move first.
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 36 SpD Jirachi: 284-336 (83.2 - 98.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Jirachi can then proceed to:
252+ Atk Choice Band Jirachi Meteor Mash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 440-522 (112.5 - 133.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO (And hope it will not miss)

(So I replaced Roaring Moon because it's way too unreliable without Tera Steel)

Counter: :Heatran:
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Dragon Pulse

"Heatran is 4x weak to Earth Power"
Introduce the :air balloon:

If the opponent uses Earth Power, the Air Balloon prevents Heatran from receiving any damage.
If Draco Meteor, 252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor over 3 turns vs. 200 HP / 56 SpD Heatran: 264-311 (70.7 - 83.3%) -- not a KO
We do not talk about Freeze-Dry and Tera Blast
So Heatran will have to survive 3 turns (Or 2, if you still have your Tera):
252+ SpA Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 314-372 (80.3 - 95.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Tera Steel Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 420-496 (107.4 - 126.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
I love Choice items.

Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast

Iron Crown is faster than Kyurem, and Kyurem is weak to Steel whether it teras or not.

252 SpA Choice Specs Iron Crown Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 408-482 (104.3 - 123.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Your Iron Crown set should use Tachyon Cutter instead of Flash Cannon - it's a 50-BP two-hit Steel-type special attack, so it has an effective 100 BP instead of Flash Cannon's 80.

:sv/goodra-hisui:

Goodra-Hisui @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 196 HP / 252 SpA / 60 Spe
Tera Type: Fairy
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Flash Cannon
- Fire Blast
- Earthquake

Goodra-Hisui is a check. While it lacks recovery, and getting frozen is obviously quite annoying, none of Kyurem's attacks can even 2HKO Goodra -- not even Earth Power, and it hits super-effectively. In return, Goodra can threaten a 2HKO with Flash Cannon, or an OHKO with Draco Meteor that Kyurem has to Tera to avoid.

:kyurem:
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 81-96 (23.1 - 27.4%) -- 58.9% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Tera Blast vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 31-36 (8.8 - 10.2%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Tera Blast vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tera Fairy Goodra-Hisui: 62-73 (17.7 - 20.8%) -- possible 5HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fairy Kyurem Tera Blast vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 93-109 (26.5 - 31.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 150-177 (42.8 - 50.5%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra-Hisui: 138-164 (39.4 - 46.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 196 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Tera Fairy Goodra-Hisui: 69-82 (19.7 - 23.4%) -- possible 5HKO

:goodra-hisui:
252+ SpA Goodra-Hisui Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 452-534 (115.6 - 136.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Goodra-Hisui Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 278-330 (71 - 84.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Goodra-Hisui Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Kyurem: 128-151 (32.7 - 38.6%) -- 99.1% chance to 3HKO

Ok so a few things. 1) Almost any steel type mon is a check to this kyurem. 2) Special walls would work.

Check:
Iron boulder

Iron boulder would outspeed kyurem and can ohko it with Mighty Cleave.
252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Boulder Mighty Cleave vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Kyurem: 528-624 (135 - 159.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

If Kyurem Tera Fairy:
252+ Atk Choice Band Iron Boulder Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Fairy Kyurem: 296-350 (75.7 - 89.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
78.7% - 89.7%, so after 1 round of rocks, its an OHKO.

Counter:
Following the trend of using unique NU pokemon (last week's submission was lucario)

Specially defensive Bronzong.

With this Steel + Psychic typing paired with the ability levitate, it resists all the threats this kyurem can pose, and also it can set up screens or even setup with iron defense.

252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Bronzong: 121-143 (35.7 - 42.3%) -- 91% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery *Will get worse after every move*
252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Freeze-Dry vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Bronzong: 66-78 (19.5 - 23%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Tera Fairy Kyurem Tera Blast (80 BP) vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Bronzong: 75-88 (22.1 - 26%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

Paired with a recover set, Kyurem will not be able to touch bronzong and you can get screens up for free, and kill it with iron head.

0 Atk Bronzong Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tera Fairy Kyurem: 146-174 (37.3 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Thanks for reading, byeee

Boring answer, but Alolan Ninetails is a perfect check :ninetales-alola:

252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Earth Power vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Ninetales-Alola: 147-174 (42.1 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Switch in, and then Aurora Veil or Moonblast, still works even with rocks up as with veil it will survive the counterattack.
