Hello there. So there are a lot of suggestions in this forum that have been asked a bajillion times, most likely because the person making the suggestion has not checked to see if a similar thread has not been made before (which is against forum rules, by the way). To save you some time, I will be compiling a list of suggestions that have been commonly suggested over the years and have been rejected every time, or have just been posted in the wrong place. If a smod+ wants to add to this list, feel free.
Do not suggest a "Blacklisted" postbit for Wi-Fi offenders
If you want to see if someone is blacklisted, don't be lazy; check the Wi-Fi Blacklist (for trades/hacks) or Tattle Taler's Paradise (for battles) before doing business with that person. Likewise, if you'd like to report a user, make sure to read the rules of both threads before posting. If you do not follow the rules verbatim, you will get infracted. Just look at all the red cards on the latter thread to see what I mean. It is the easiest thread to get infracted in and I don't want it to happen to you. Please don't inflate Wild Eep's infraction count.
Do not suggest new metagames.
There have been a ton of suggestions for new metagames in the Suggestion Box forum lately and this is simply not the place for them. Fortunately, we have a specific subforum for other metagames, aptly titled Other Metagames. Please read the rules and regulations of that forum and be prepared to make an appropriate OP that summarizes the rules of the metagame and leaves room for discussion.
Do not suggest a Smogon mobile / tablet app.
This has been suggested numerous times and naturally it gets rejected. Programming is hard work and simply put, nobody's going to work on an app just because someone asked for one in this forum. Programmers work on exactly what they want (or are paid) to program. If you are a competent programmer and would like to see a Smogon mobile app, you are more than welcome to make one yourself! Post a thread in the Technical Projects subforum with the (Programming) prefix.
Do not suggest an Introduction Forum / thread.
This was requested countless times for years and years and finally someone (Birkal) listened and such a thread was made. It's here. Please feel free to stop by the Smogon Mentorship Program to become embedded into the community!
