Straight out of the Kanto Power Plant is Zapdos, one of the most terrifying Pokemon in RBY OU! Restricted only by the presence of Rhydon and to a lesser extent Jolteon, Zapdos will cleave through weakened teams with its dual STAB moves before the opponent can even blink, backed by a solid critical hit rate to give it some volatility. With Thunder Wave under its belt, Zapdos can set up its blazing endgames itself if necessary, letting it comfortably duel even Tauros and Chansey, the latter of which becomes very uncomfortable once paralyzed. Agility means Zapdos is more than capable of trading paralysis as well, giving it even more terrifying late-game potential. Be sure not to commit to it too early, though, as giving the opponent more chances to work around Zapdos can greatly hinder a sweep. Beginners will often turn their noses up at this bird because of Rhydon's presence, but make no mistake: those who disrespect this legendary bird will be shocked!

Pretty sure I was overthinking this when I posted it, Zapdos is quite straightforward and so is this set. Ready for QC.

Straight to the point and very digestible, good for a quick spotlight.

Only nitpick is I wouldn't call TWave on Zapdos 'utility' as much as something he uses to cripple other things that could threaten/stop his endgames (alakazam, tauros, chansey), it's kind of a breaking tool in itself bc unparalyzed you aint gonna crit a chansey to death but if she's not moving every few turns your odds are a lot better. For a surface view it's fine, if you can reword it to make it clear that it's a self-setup tool a lot more than it is 'utility' I think that'd be best but otherwise QC 1/1

I changed it to "Zapdos can set up its blazing endgames itself if necessary", which should be more accurate. Should be ready for GP!

EDIT: I also chucked in Jolteon at emma's suggestion.

Also 163 words / 956 characters, so GP has a bit of wiggle room!

Agility means Zapdos is more than capable of trading paralysis as well, giving it even more terrifying late-game potential. Be sure not to commit to it too early, though, as giving free turns with Zapdos often gives the opponent too much time to breathe. this reads a bit weird? maybe something like "gives the opp more chances to counter-attack/work around Zapdos" would work better? Beginners will often turn their noses up at this bird because of Rhydon's presence, but make no mistake: those who disrespect this legendary bird will be shocked!

Notes:

• Zapdos can def fight both late-game with a little luck, so I put "and" in. It's less ambiguous too.
• I went with "work around" for a broader sense since there are quite a few routes to take in counterplaying it. Changed the last bit to "greatly hinder a sweep" appropriately.
