r0fl vs. Daunting ... a daunting uber warstory.

So, I was on Pokelab testing the Arceus team from the smog #11 (kind of n00by, but I am kind of n00by still) and I came across Daunting... 3 times. He took me down 2 times (score: 1:0 scoring a key critical hit on my Arceus on both of them, though only one of them was actually relevant edit:probably both were necessary to OHKO Arceus). As I clicked the find battle button, I kind of knew I would probably be fighting him again... and I was right. FYI, I didn't know the exact details of his team until afterword when I was writing this.. in fact the details might still be partially incorrect since he probably still edits the team now and then)

My Team (in order of team builder): (from here)

Daunting's Team (in order of appearance): (deatils here I presume)

The important info (stolen from Gen Empoleon)
• Sleep Clause
• Freeze Clause
• OHKO Clause
• Evasion Clause
• Species Clause
• Strict Damage Clause
My comments, you guessed it! Are purple
The score will be in red
The battle will be bolded
The damage (in percents) will be underlined
Leftovers will be ommited
I will be using species name instead of nicknames, since I'm gross and use random pokemon species names as my nicknames

daunting sent out Darkrai (lvl 100 Darkrai)!

I've played this lead before... my metagross smashes it if it stays in (happened first battle), and doesn't like groudon (second battle). I assume that groudon is coming in and decide to lay down some pointed stones.

Good so far... but going to need some good fortune to get through the rest of the team. I go for waterspout, knowing full well that he might send palkia in, since I figure that it does probably does plenty of damage to the majority of his team...

A good switch in for him hypothetically (still takes plenty of damage), he can probably tell now that I'm specced, so time to move into my most expendable pokemon to eat the thunder (since I don't need it as a kyogre counter).

Palkia for raping my garchomp
Arceus for not getting critical hit and dying

Slops:

Lolwat?! You wrote a warstory for that match...

Anywayyyy, it was a good game and I kinda enjoyed it, although both of us did make a few elementary mistakes xD. After reading this, I just want to clear up a few things in the match that were a bit vague.

Firstly, I didn't use Dark void on Arceus because darkrai was actually scarfed, and using it would screwed me over. Secondly, I found it a bit strange that you were using thunder in the sun, which would only have 50% accuracy. And finally, I ran a calc on the last critical hit and... 100SpA Arceus should deal 42.3% - 50.2% to 4HP/0spD Darkrai with thunder, which meant that I had a 91% chance of surviving without the crit. Then again, My groudon critted your arceus with stone edge in the previous match, so I guess that makes it even.

But GG on your victory, you outplayed me, and good presentation for your warstory.
P.S- make your title a bit more original, and u might get some more views/comments ;D.

Pokelab lets you use full EVs for arceus still instead of the capped 100 (I ran full hp, enough speed to outspeed base 90s and the rest special attack) so for the damage calc (first time using it so might have a mistake or two) I got 47.5% - 56% for thunder and for the focus blast I got 0% using the smogon damage calculator ... also if you want to write your comments on the battle turn by turn, I will add them for you. I guess I forgot about the sun altering thunder's accuracy... I should have used STAB ghost judgement... but why didn't you use STAB dark pulse (104.1% - 123%)?

Not sure what the title should be... lemme think about it... and thanks for the good games, I definitely learned some useful stuff over the battles we had.

On a final sidenote: Pokelab should fix their Arceus mistakes. Not assesing the type differences and the EV stuff

How DID Focus Blast hit a Ghost type Arceus? >_>

And at one point in the story it still says that you withdrew Ho-oh, instead of Skarmory. Confused the hell out of me. =P

Not a bad story though.

ok, I fixed that... I personally think that pokelab only plays normal type Arceus at the moment... so my plate didn't actually activate its multitype... reason I think that is because in some battle I switched my spookyplate into a +x extremekiller arceus and got shanked anyways...

Yeah, multitype isn't inplemented in pokemon lab so your team lacked a spinblocker lol. Some interesting moves from both sides and some poor stuff like chompy's nature but it was quite good in the end.

What I'm mainly wondering was where was darkrai's dark void?
