Groundium Dragonite

Dragonite @ Groundium Z
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Here we have a Dragonite with a standard EV spread, but with a Jolly nature in order to outspeed Tapu Koko and Ash Greninja after a Dragon Dance, even though you miss a clean KO. What you really need is a layer of hazard to reach the missing K0s.
252 Atk Dragonite Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tapu Koko: 256-302 (91.1 - 107.4%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO (you really need something like a LO recoil onto Tapu Koko)
252 Atk Dragonite Ice Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 352-416 (98.3 - 116.2%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Dragonite Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 268-316 (70.1 - 82.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

No Extreme Speed in this "speedy" Dragonite because is not that good being not STABbed and with Tapu Lele all around you are playing with one less moveslot. Therefore, Ice Punch is picked over Fire Punch in order to have the maximum coverage over bulky annoying Grounds (i.e. Landorus-T and Garchomp).
Outrage is a powerful STAB move coming unexpectedly from this Jolly dragon, whereas a Z-boosted Earthquake demolishes some "checks" even without a DD.

252 Atk Dragonite Tectonic Rage (180 BP) vs. 200 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 356-420 (101.4 - 119.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Dragonite Tectonic Rage (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar: 370-436 (108.5 - 127.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Dragonite Tectonic Rage (180 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Tyranitar-Mega: 282-334 (82.6 - 97.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO (and you outspeed this Mega, but you miss the extra power from Adamant nature)

Dragonite is one of that cases in which you have to choose between speed (and not that much of it, but at least it is workable) and power.

Well, since the theme is about Dragonite, my favorite mon, I guess I am gonna share one of my trash sets with you guys

Free Hugs the Dragonite

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Substitue
- Toxic
- Wrap
- Fly

Free Hugs is that one mon who will just keep hugging and hugging you till you suffer a painful death till you faint. Essentially what this set accomplishes is trapping most non- steel walls by subbing and wrapping them, and then spamming the other moves. For example

0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 19-23 (4.9 - 5.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
4 Atk Dragonite Fly vs. 252 HP / 192+ Def Toxapex: 70-84 (23 - 27.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

It's abilitiy to remove certain walls, like Toxapex, serve to really complement Ash- Greninja who can then start to clean the opposing team with their wall out of the way

Other things of note:
Fly- at most can only be used twice before wrap must be used again
Wrap - thanks to its high pp, can in conjunction with fly be used to pp stall moves like Toxapex's recover.
Using Substitute first on the mons you are trapping is something I recommend, just so you won't get statused by any of their moves. If they stay in, wrap them and begin the process. If they switch out to a different mon, then that mon is trapped by wrap and you can switch into another mon who can better handle the situation or stay in to hug them to death.

Finally, a list of walls that Free Hugs the Dragonite can trap and beat via PP stalling or flat out beating them ( all of these can be subbed on as well)
0 SpA Rotom-Wash Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 45-53 (11.6 - 13.7%) -- possible 8HKO
0 SpA Toxapex Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 19-23 (4.9 - 5.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
0 SpA Venusaur-Mega Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 84-99 (21.7 - 25.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
0 SpA Quagsire Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 22-27 (5.6 - 6.9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
0 SpA Gastrodon Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 29-35 (7.5 - 9%) -- possibly the worst move ever
0 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 39-46 (10.1 - 11.9%) -- possible 9HKO
0 SpA Mantine Scald vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Dragonite: 26-31 (6.7 - 8%) -- possibly the worst move ever

To make a long list of other calcs short: Dragonite can beat all these mons one-on-one thanks to it's combo of moves

Essentially, this long and boring list of calcs show Dragonite's effectiveness at trapping threatening mons for mons especially Ash-Greninja to then wreak havoc on the opposing team. It probably is debatable how actually good this set is, but I think it has a niche at surprising enemy walls and then taking them down.

EDIT: Ok, fixed the calcs and spread, and got rid of the ones that no longer make sense.

Just to say, your calcs all have 252 HP / 252+ SpD but the set listed is jolly 252 Atk 252 Spe. And all the calcs are for if multiscale is unbroken, yet you have sub and no recovery outside of leftovers, which makes this unlikely. For instance, Bulu does 55.9-66.3% damage with Stone Edge when multiscale is broken, which makes it a far more even matchup than your calcs imply.

Agility Rain Dragonite

..

Dragonite @ Life Orb
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Surf
- Agility

A Relic from the days of infinite rain of Bw Ou, Agility Rain Dragonite can function as an interesting Breaker or Cleaner for current Rain teams despite the now only 7 turn weather. Offering almost unique access to both strong Electric and Flying attacks, in Thunder and Hurricane, this rare combo can hit the types that check Rain best, with Water and Grass types going for easy 2hkoes to 1hkoes while Surf smacks bulky Ground types which usually check Dragonite. Due to Dragonites mainly physical presence, this set can also lure out many of the tiers physical walls, such as Skarmory, Zapdos, Celesteela, Quagsire and LandoT aiding Hawlucha or others. Agility can allow Dragonite to turn into a Cleaner after the oppsoing team has been battered by the rest of the team, switching roles halfway through the match, or allow Dragonite to threaten faster mons that it couldnt due to its speed, such as Koko and Greninja-Ash. While having LO and Multiscale is mostly a loss, Multiscale can allow Dragonite to set up a free Agility in the late game, or take the initial hit and then attack, due to its low speed.

This set comes with a few problems however. Due to the special nature of the set, mons like Chansey, Av Magearna now become an issue, happily walling Dragonite for days, due to its low Spatk and reliance on super effective damage. This low base Spatk and reliance on SE damage also means Dragonite struggles to beat Lele, Kyurem and other bulky / specially bulky attackers, meaning decent chip is needed before a clean. Another issue is that after an Agility, Dragonite only hits 518, slower than 108 Scarfers+, so losing to Scarfers such as Latios and Greninja. Lastly while Dragonite deals with most of Rains checks, Gastrodon still remain a problem
I've added a lot of Calcs to this so you get a good idea for how hard Dragonite is hitting. I've put them in a rough order of importance.

Timid Nature

- Earthquake/Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
- Fire Blast

This set has a simple purpose, lure things and prevent hazards from the most common stealth rockers... U can choose EarthQuake over Draco meteor for Heatrans but Draco meteor is good for raw power especially with LO, Superpower is a niche for luring tyranitar and Ebelt is if u don't want to take recoil and u want to use multiscale, anyway I prefear Ineer focus for its ability to don't flinch in the lopunny/medicham fake out (made for multiscale) and kill him with hurricane

Reserving Z-Hurricane Defognite:

Dragonite @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 144 HP / 252 SpA / 112 Spe
Modest Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Hurricane

This is a set I've been toying with on rain teams so that I have room to run Specs Peli as an extra wallbreaker. The idea is that this Dragonite can deal well with hazard setters such as defensive Lando, Heatran, and Ferro with Supersonic Skystrike. In addition to these, its bulk and typing allow it to check Kartana, Ash Gren, Mega Sciz, Bulu, Volcarona and Mega Venu. All in all just another defog option if your team needs it, and its a pretty fun one; you could run a -Def/SpD nature if you wish to get more damage on Magearna, but I haven't found it necessary to cut into Dragonite's bulklike that.
man why did you steal coverage e-belt. welp either way I have this

Dragonite @ Electrium Z
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 148 Atk / 108 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Thunder
- Ice Beam
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake

Ok so this looks weird but it's pretty cool. EVs are just for making it as good of a sweeper as possible with max speed and making it strong on physical and special. Electrium z is nice for pelippers and does some decent damage against mixed steela's and it does good damage against skarmory. Ice beam is obviously for the landos and garchomps and gliscors and zygardes and can help against weakened ground types or flying types like zapdos or hawlucha. Earthquake is to make use of the dragon dance and hits steels. The speed from dragon dance is also obviously nice for the special attack as well as the attack.

Someone please do defensive dragonite I am begging you
I have to say, Dragonite is an incredibly versatile breaker/sweeper. It recently got a rise to the S tier rankings in a draft league I'm a part of, and for good reason. The ability to annihilate many of the checks to a smogondex set makes for a rather... Devastating Drake, in any metagame it's a part of.

Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Punch / Thunder Punch
- Outrage
- Earthquake

The idea behind this set is rather simple: destroy all counterplay to flyspam cores. Dragonium Z Dragonite eschews powerful priority in Extremespeed, in order to destroy as much of the metagame as possible. A Jolly nature is used to outspeed Koko at +1 and ohko it with Earthquake.

Z-Outrage is capable of ripping through most walls in the metagame, including the likes of defensive Zapdos, defensive Rotom-W, Lando-T, and more.

252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 253-298 (66.2 - 78%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
(Z-Outrage on a defensive Lando-T switching into Ddance already ruins it. However, multiscale is broken and lets you ddance twice)
+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 378-445 (98.9 - 116.4%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 88 Def Venusaur-Mega: 369-435 (101.6 - 119.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 630-742 (89.6 - 105.5%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 240 HP / 156 Def Mew: 408-481 (101.7 - 119.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Not even this semi-irrelevant blob can check you

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 390-459 (128.7 - 151.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 28 Def Tangrowth: 382-451 (94.5 - 111.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
You still beat Z-Fly targets with this set

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 240+ Def Zapdos: 384-453 (100.2 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 40 HP / 216+ Def Alomomola: 408-481 (84.8 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
force the protect first

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Suicune: 423-498 (104.7 - 123.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

+1 252 Atk Dragonite Devastating Drake (190 BP) vs. 248 HP / 200+ Def Rotom-Wash: 340-402 (112.2 - 132.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Fire Punch is used to hit steel/flying types and can facilitate the Koko part of KokoLucha by outright ko'ing a ferrothorn or Scizor-M, while also breaking fat grass types like Tangrowth or Bulu.

Thunder Punch supports the Hawlucha part of KokoLucha more by hitting bulky water types like Fini hard, while still retaining the ability to hit steel/flying types.

Earthquake is used to make would-be checks to this set crumble, such as Heatran, Diancie, and Magearna. It's also Dragonite's highest bp coverage option on this set, hitting Dragon resists/immunities as hard as possible if the punch of choice does not exploit a type weakness. It can also be used to 2hko Ferrothorn when at +1, if Fire Punch isn't on the set.

Replay vs Zapdos Offense: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-681816749
They literally had to hope that Dragonite was Flyinium Z to win. Zapdos just drops to Z-Outrage.

The unaware blobs wall this set unsurprisingly, and hazard chip is a must for scoring ohko's at +1 while using coverage options for neutral targets. Throw this set on hazard stack HO along with answers to unware walls, and you're good to go.

EDIT: Added calc showing dnite ohko a rotom-w
EDIT2: Added a replay vs Zapdos Bulky Offense
I showed up late and someone already took rain dragonite wtf I was gonna do that.

LUGIA

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Substitute/Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Dragon Tail
- Roost

This is just lugia but it's dragonite. This mon's movepool is fire and it has a ton of other options that it can run on a defensive set. It can run earthquake for heatran, flamethrower for scizor, whirlpool to trap things, thunder wave because that move is busted, heal bell to remove status, haze to remove status, defog to remove hazards and roar to switch out things that are immune to dragon tail. It can also run spdef or some mixed spread. This mon also has dual screens but Jordan doesn't let me do more than 1 submission

Dragonite @ Choice Specs
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt/Surf
- Fire Blast
- Hurricane/Ice Beam
- Draco Meteor

Tbolt hits pex and mantine, blast hits ferro and scizor, beam hits lando and zygarde, surf or focus blast hit heatran and hurricane and draco are nice high powered stabs. This set is actually super fire and I'm prolly gonna build a bad team around it.

Dragonite @ Focus Sash/Light Clay
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Thunder Wave
- Roar

Dual screens because why not.

Dragonite @ Choice Band
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Brave Nature
- Outrage
- Fire Punch/Earthquake/Ice Punch
- Extreme Speed
- Iron Head

This is bad.

edit: okay Finchinator I'll stop posting random memes on this thread and take it seriously

Dragonite @ Sharp Beak
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Earthquake
- Extreme Speed

I originally saw this set on an empo team so all credit god to him. This is more or less a wallbreaking rain Dragonite that actually works. The main point of the set is to remove flying resists with Thunder/Earthquake and spam Hurricane after they’re all gone. Extreme Speed fills out the set by offering a solid priority move that Dragonite can use to pick off weakened foes. This set is pretty neat, but it’s not exactly the optimal wallbreaker for rain teams beyond memes due to its low speed tier and relative weakness of Hurricane.

Other shitty ideas that are fun to meme with:
  • DD Blizzard + Z Earthquake is funny for being able to take down defensive Lando-T without your Z move and being able to lure in some random shit. This set can also have Devastating Drake tossed over EQ for shit like Rotom and Zapdos that come in expecting to wall Z-Fly. Blizzard is obviously used over Ice Beam to ensure a surefire KO on defensive Landorus-T and is generally more hilarious to use for obvious reasons. If you want to see me using a team with this I’m 90% sure there’s a video on my Youtube with it somewhere on the alt “Jelq Daddy’s” in which it does absolutely nothing.

  • Specially Defensive Heal Bell cleric (requires inner focus) with Roost/Heal Bell/Dragon Tail/Thunder Wave can be a odd as fuck shuffler on balance teams that lack a switch in for stuff like Zardy, Keldeo, and similar offensive threats. Ask NJNP if you want stories from one of the victims of this garbage dogshit. I don’t actually recommend using this outside of memes but I figured including it because it’s really bad and has a slew of problems including a rocks weakness and being incredibly pressured by the things it’s supposed to beat to the point of having to be played perfectly to be effective at all.

It can also just be used to trap Toxapex so a breaker can switch in if you don''t want to try to pp stall these mons.

Z-Hurricane Defognite

This week we'll be doing Celesteela.

- sorry for being late i was p busy with other stuff.

Celesteela @ Choice Band
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Superpower
- Seed Bomb

Celesteela has a great attack stat and plenty of physical attacking moves making it useful for a Choice Band set. First of all, Heavy Slam for STAB Iron Head can be another useful STAB move but for now Heavy Slam as our STAB move. Earthquake can be very useful for those Fire and Electric-types. Superpower can pretty much counter most of the A+ VR mons which again can be very useful. And Seed Bomb is another great physical move to use against Water-types which are pretty common though out of OU.

Metal Sound Celesteela

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Leech Seed
- Metal Sound
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower

General idea:
Here we have Celesteela with its good defensive typing, the same of Skarmory's one. Protect is a nice move in order to have an additional recovery turn combined with Leftovers and/or Leech Seed or to scout for Z-moves, but you can easily lose momentum with a wrong prediction.
This Celesteela can overwhelm some pokemons 1 vs 1 with relative ease making its Flamethrower "more effective" mickmicking a Nasty Plot.
I think that Metal Sound is a little underrated status move with passable accuracy (the same of WoW) and, even though it isn't Nasty Plot, it can be useful because Celesteela is often forced out due to its low Spe.
In this way, even though you are forced to switch-out, you have already had the chance to spread a -2 SpD drop on a "so called-check" caught off guard.
On a side note, Metal Sound can be really good towards annoying Unaware users, but you have to avoid pokemon with Defiant, Competitive and Soundproof which are uncommon.

EVs spread:
It is the same of the defensive set.

Team(mates) options:
A way to deal properly with Fire and Electric types is mandatory, such as Mega Camerupt or Landorus-T (even though the latter is weak to Ice). Due to the switch-out Metal Sound provides, a SR is recommended in order to weaken troublesome Fire and Electric types among the other threats.

Celesteela @ Choice Specs
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain
- Air Slash

Doesn't do much besides occasionally sniping lando-t wanting to come in to get up rocks or ash gren coming in to pressure with hydro pump. It can also run a few other options like hp ground to lure tran, flash cannon to kill lele and as a stronger stab move in general, fire blast and energy ball for more power over flamethrower and giga drain respectively. It can also run enough speed to outspeed fast ttar and mawile. honestly, if you're going to run a bad celesteela set, run a physical one since it can at least hit zapdos and toxapex

reserving e-belt lure celesteela

Celesteela @ Expert Belt
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 20 Atk / 252 SpA / 54 SpD / 182 Spe
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Hidden power Ice / Giga Drain / Or Energy Ball If u feel recovery is for noobs
- Flash Cannon / Air Slash

This thing sucks but the autotomize set is not original at all and they already took the cb set so I only have this ,_,
I was seeing the movepool of this thing and noticed how much coverage it had, so the purpose fo this set is lure things because no one would expect celesteela having eq and fire blast on the same moveset, same for Hp Ice, and Giga drain...

EQ is for heatran and magnezone, Fire blast for grass and steel types like Kartana, Scizor, Ferothorn, skarmory and Celesteela... Hidden power ice can be used for luring things like Zygarde and Landorus (I prefear giga drain tho) meanwhile Giga Drain is for Water and Ground types like Tapu fini, Swampert-mega, Keldeo(if u're not using air slash), manaphy etc., Air slash/ Flash cannon are the stabs which still help with coverage.

Naive nature helps doing some OHKOS and 2HKOS but worsen celestela special defense so I put those 54 Evs in spdef to fix that, The speed Evs are for outspeeding AV Tapu bulu, SD Mega-Scizor, Adamant Tyranitar and other things...

Ok, here goes nothing

The DefogTrap
1515353089174.png

Celesteela @ Flynium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 Def, 252 SpAtk, 252 SpDef
Sassy Nature:
- Block
- Fire Blast
- Toxic
- Air Slash
The Idea: When you think about Celesteela, you probably will think of it as a passive mon that utilizes leech seed to damage foes without recovery and heal itself. However, with the exception of certain sets, Celesteela is usually a good mon to Defog( and rapid spin) on. Just one defog, and then you can swap out of leech seed. However, this set utilizes that mentality by trapping defoggers and preceding to either cripple them or beat one v one. Block is a wonderful trapping move that can be used on the turn that the defogger uses defog, and doesn't rely on accuracy to work.

Air Slash is the stab of choice because it hits hard on neutral targets. Fire Blast is for Skarmory, and Excadrill as they resist Air Slash. Toxic is just for Mantine, Mew as they don't get hit hard enough by either attacks. Sassy powers up special defense which is especially helpful against Tapu Fini( see calcs for the reason why)

For this set to work, Celesteela (obviously) must be used with hazards to be effective at its job. It is most effective on spikestack teams since they hate the new influx of defoggers and Celesteela is a good way to remove them. The only two common defoggers who don't mind celesteela at all are rotom wash and Zapdos so make sure to pack answers for them if you choose to use this set
Finally a list of calcs
What the defoggers/ spinners can do to Celesteela
252 Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Rock Slide vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Celesteela: 82-97 (24.4 - 28.9%) -- 99.7% chance to 4HKO
0 Atk Gliscor Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Celesteela: 44-52 (13.1 - 15.5%) -- possible 7HKO
0 SpA Latias Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 54-64 (16.1 - 19.1%) -- possible 6HKO
0 SpA Latias-Mega Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 67-79 (20 - 23.5%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 SpA Latios Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 76-90 (22.6 - 26.8%) -- 32% chance to 4HKO
0 SpA Mantine Scald vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 51-61 (15.2 - 18.2%) -- possible 6HKO
0 SpA Mew Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 46-55 (13.7 - 16.4%) -- possible 7HKO
0- Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Celesteela: 47-56 (14 - 16.7%) -- possible 6HKO
0 SpA Tapu Fini Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 35-42 (10.4 - 12.5%) -- possible 8HKO
* Note for Tapu Fini. It runs Nature Madness, but for it k.o celesteela, it will need to use about 3 Nature's Madness's and then the maximum roll for Moonblast to kill.

Special Cases:

Defensive Earthquake Celesteela

Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 96 Def / 124 SpD / 36 Spe
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Protect
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake

This Celesteela is designed to work just as the standard defensive set does, but with the extra effect of luring Heatran and AV Magerna. Both of these are relatively safe switch ins to your standard Celesteela, with AV Mage shrugging off fire blast damage and Heatran only affected by leech seed, however both of these are heavily damaged by earthquake. The speed EVs on this set allow it to creep uninvested Mage to get another EQ on off it before it uses volt switch, which doesn't do enough damage to Cele to be a problem. It also threatens some of the stuff that fire blast is used for, like Excadrill. It isn't exactly the pinnacle of innovation, but is still an effective and underrated lure.

Calcs:
0 Atk Celesteela Earthquake vs. 212 HP / 44 Def Heatran: 268-316 (71.2 - 84%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Celesteela Earthquake vs. 200 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 130-154 (37 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
56 SpA Magearna Volt Switch vs. 252 HP / 124 SpD Celesteela: 116-138 (29.1 - 34.6%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO
0 Atk Celesteela Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Excadrill: 220-260 (60.7 - 71.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Also can we get a better Mon next week? Celesteela doesn't have much room for innovation, most the stuff it can do that isn't a well known set is either worse than autonomize or a slight twist to its defensive set.

Late submissions sorry but I just realized no one did this so I guess I'm gonna post since cm's shit was reserved on Monday.

NJNP (Celesteela) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid/Naive/Hasty Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Air Slash
- Autotomize
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain/Earthquake

This is the fabled NJNP webs Celesteela set. I haven't used this thing in a while, but it's fun to use for shits and giggles on ladder. Supersonic Skystrike is actually really neat for murdering a lot of offensive mons like Ash Greninja and frens. Fire Blast roasts shit like Magnezone that normally chomps on Air Slash while EQ smacks Heatran and Tyranitar. I had to slash Giga Drain first to pay homage to rriv's team, but EQ is 10x better let's be honest. Celesteela is a mon people try innovating and frankly shouldn't because basically anything besides defensive is horseshit right now, but I'd like to think this is at least a little bit better than the other submissions.

time to vote. this week absolutely sucked, ill get a better mon next round.
