So, I've been ruminating on this set for quite a while now and I think it's about time I showed it off to the world. Meet: Swords Dance Hydro Pump Samurott.

Samurott @ Mystic Water
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty / Naive Nature
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Megahorn
- Hydro Pump

Now I know you're thinking "Cyan, why the hell would you run a special move on a physical sweeper?" but believe you me, thus set is not one to be slept on. (also, np nape does the same thing on the opposite attacking side in UU iirc)
Here are all the perks of running Hydro instead of Waterfall:

- look super cool and win all of your battles (this one is confirmed not to work, sorry :/)
- 2hko Weezing, Garbodor, Def Mesprit, Def Miltank, Pivot Xatu, Defensive Costa and Oma and OHKO Lix, Rhydon, Pilo and Regirock all without having to boost (bonus points for beating Garb without taking RH + Aftermath)
- Have a slightly better neutral damage output (Hydro does about 3-4% more to 0/4 SDef Mesprit, for example) especially with the tendency of NU mons to have more Def than SDef
- Surprise people who think you are SD/Special (depending on what move you click first)
- Have a stronger Megahorn than special sets with which you can hit Lanturn/Gastro
- Be able to blame hax when you miss a Hydro that would've won you the game

Things that don't get any worse by running this set
-Beating up cm Psychics (unless Xatu boosts before you Hydro it)
- Beating most things that die to +2 Waterfall (most of them die to Hydro just fine or even better, except for a few soon-to-come exceptions)
- +2 Torrent AJet (this actually gets better, as most sd sets run lum and not mystic water)
- Mantine, Poliwrath, Ferroseed and Pelipper (sadly, Pelipper needs investment to get 2hko'd by Hydro after SR)

Things that get worse by running this set
- Mega Audino (literally free boosts; at least +4 Waterfall does damage to it)
- Not having Lum as an emergency status check -- though if you get burned, you can still click Hydro to your heart's content

So as you can see, this set is a pretty cool lure/option that is a good amount of reward for not a whole lot of risk, and I recommend you try it out.

I really wish I had tested what the "Download Replays" button did before I tested it, because I had some pretty cool replays that don't work anymore since I didn't save the link. I do, however, have one replay is the finals of a recent room tour: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/nu-410985056 where I 6-0d with SD hydro rott; opponent could've stopped sweep by going in to Skunk but hey we take those.

More replays coming soon™

Speaking of coming soon™, the RMT of the team in the replay is gonna happen soon, so watch out for that!

Sawsbuck @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Horn Leech
- Leech Seed
- Return

So, I've kind of kept this set to myself for a while, but I really want to share it. Basically, sawsbuck has a way to get past its traditional checks by way of substitute and leech seed. It can stall out and hit hard offensively (especially with a boost). What makes this set so good, is the speed that jolly sawsbuck has. It out speeds quite a bit!

Mr. Meme (Mr. Mime) @ Leftovers
Ability: Filter
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Barrier
- Calm Mind
- Baton Pass
- Taunt

As gimmicky as it looks (and is) this Mime set is actually pretty scary. The idea is pretty self explanatory: boost your defenses through the roof with Barrier and CM and pass it to something that can sweep. Taunt prevents other mons from setting up alongside you and between Filter and boosts, Mime and its teammates become very difficult to break.

Some good teammates I've found include CM Salac Berry Xatu (the original basis for this set hehe), as well as other bulky boosters like Malamar and Curse Sliggoo. Speed boosters with good coverage like Combusken or Flame Charge Magmortar also work well. Also special shoutouts to the lord set CM Salac Trevenant, shoutouts Evan

The team in this replay is a joke team but it's surprisingly consistent in roomtours so still fair game i m o. I do have a more serious team but I don't bother saving replays with it so yeah

This thread is dead af o.o

So why not revive it with something which is technically banned, speed pass! Yeah, this isn't a very easy way of doing it, but it is technically (I use this word a lot btw) the easiest way and I've successfully done it vs decent/good players (like TTFTW and HJAD, darn Sir Kay not doing it right >.>) so I can say it isn't totally out there. Please break Xatu again! Please note, you have to follow the strat perfectly or itll fail lol

Amaura @ Focus Sash
Ability: Snow Warning
Level: 1
- Aqua Tail
- Protect

My revolutionary Amaura set, basically you gotta wait it out until turn 3 of hail (or turn two by the time ur dead).

Shedinja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Wonder Guard
EVs: 252 Atk
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Agility
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Sneak
- Sucker Punch

It's a "proper" sheddy set (not rlly lol) but youll be pressing agility then dying 102% of the time or you're doing it very much wrong. Hail kills you.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Copycat
- Baton Pass
- Stealth Rock
- Dark Void

Unless your opponent has a slower move, which is unlikely, you'll be copying agility allowing you to pass it successfully :D

Mandatory replay of it actually working (I didn't win but w/e):

basically ive been retired for six months, thought this was somehow a good idea, hopped on ladder for 10 rounds and somehow managed to win 8 of them (and buttfucked kiyo with it).

The entire concept behind the team is maximizing the abuse of FEAR under hail (essentially endeavoring opponents down to 1 HP for a hail kill). Because both Duosion and Solosis function better under trick room (with the potential to sweep using endeavor alongside it), the combination of trick room and hail are used to optimize the gimmick.

The one interesting thing about this team is that although random pokemon stop it cold, it steamrolls through pokes that are traditional threats in NU. Bulky psychics, MAudino, fast and hard hitting mons (Tauros, Arch) all get completely destroyed by Endeavor + Hail and TR respectively. This makes an otherwise absurd gimmick surprisingly effective.

That said, the simple fact is I don't have the time to play much anymore nor put too much thought in this game so I'm honestly just gonna leave the team here for people to either fuck around with or fix; heres a couple of ideas on approaches to modifying it for the future.

- Incorporating Icy Rock on a hail setter so the other can be replaced by a more useful pokemon to the team
- Adding a better fighting type check as currently the team gets steamrolled unless one of the blobs is saved at full health; eviolite duo could work but wastes hail and tr turns, preferrably replace skuntank
- Better TR abusers can be used to better take advantage of both inside and outside of TR
- Ghosts cause a lot of trouble and require skuntank to be kept around so that endeavor can be spammed.
- This team has a very hard time dealing with priority, which means prio users must be checked by full health blobs. Double prio users such as Yama and Kanga essentially demand a sack and are very difficult to play around.

Mantine @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 240 HP / 16 SpD / 252 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Defog
- Substitute
- Toxic

It's Defog Mantine, but not passive and frustrating. Some of you may have seen me use this set off and on since my return, but I figured I could post it here to share it with the masses. The obvious intent with this set is to have Mantine function as the solid special Water resist with Defog it's meant to be while still filling that unique niche of being able to shut out specific passive walls with sub toxic. Hell, I almost like this sub toxic set more than the original because it can fill more of a defensive niche, but it's unfair to try and say one is objectively better than the other.

Hitmonchan @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Drain Punch / Close Combat
- Mach Punch
- Ice Punch
- Bulk Up

There is a certain misconception that all Hitmonchan have to run Rapid Spin or risk being overshadowed by other Fighting types in the tier such as Hariyama and Gurdurr. However, Hitmonchan can also run a very effective Bulk Up set which is now better than ever. While someone would say such a set is better left to Gurdurr, which sports better bulk and the ability to absorb status, Hitmonchan has other things going for it. Firstly, it can get past the two most common Fighting resists at the moment: Vileplume and Xatu. It's also faster - Gurdurr usually has to take a hit before retaliating, while Hitmonchan with a speed-boosting nature can outspeed a fair amount of bulky Pokemon and hit them hard with its main STAB. Faster Pokemon are threatened with a powerful Mach Punch, which gets even more ridiculous at +1 - it OHKOes standard Archeops after Stealth Rock most of the time. Both rozes and Eternally have used this set in tournament play to great success which is another testament of how strong Bulk Up Hitmonchan can be versus unprepared teams.

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Hitmonchan Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Archeops: 230-270 (79 - 92.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Hitmonchan Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Vileplume: 291-343 (82.2 - 96.8%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Hitmonchan Ice Punch vs. 252 HP / 240 Def Xatu: 330-390 (98.8 - 116.7%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Hitmonchan Mach Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Kangaskhan: 346-408 (98.5 - 116.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
