Descriptions ::
  • Team 1 is HO in nature, deo-s due to speed and mold-breaker tries to set up hazards for the rest of the team. After that its just pure offense, phero is fast af and helps against opposing HO builds, whereas shadow ball manaphy generally beats shed stall. Cobalion is a really good mon due to sexy steel/flying typing and generally beats genesect, dnite 1v1. At last specs xern softens defensive cores with its powerful moonblasts, and weavile has double priority for revenging things.
  • Team 2 is balanced and revolves around the core of phero + specs yveltal. Yveltal beats opposing ghosts for phero and hurricane 2hkoes arc-fairy which helps. Rest of the team provides a solid defensive backbone.
  • Team 3 is webs setup again with metagrossite phero due to its ability to be faster than opposing webs. Special Pdon softens support arceus forms and lures general counters. Sablenite lele is also sexy af and is surprisingly bulky. Team ends with couple of strong setup mons in coba and arc-ghost. Arc-ghost runs adamant to 1hko defensive fairyceus and for a slower shadow force vs opposing ghost ceus when not with webs.

Getting 6-0d by Mega Rayquaza, Yveltal, CM Dark Arceus, Scarf/Specs Lunala and Darkrai makes a team quite bad I'm sorry. Those sets are horrendous, but regardless of how terrible the team is, it belongs on the Team Dump thread, not here.

P.S. "i test team and is good" won't get you out of this one.

Clefable's role is to pass wishes to everyone, but mainly metagross and salamence since they are the sweepers of the team and need to be kept healthy. Also helps check zygarde.
Metagross dragon dances and sweeps.
Dugtrio sets up stealth rocks and traps something.
Tapu koko is fast and has nice coverage. blue flare for tangrowth, metagross, magnezone, mawile.
salamence is the other sweeper on the team. firium Z helps knockout like celesteela.
tapu fini is the defogger and greninja check ( mainly ash-gren cause protean gunk shot hurts so scout for that)

Ok, hello. I am known as Tyrantrum_Overload on PS and just putting this team down for no reason other than I am not really using it any more. It did get me up to pretty high ladder, (1450), so it's not complete trash.

Let's start with the Rhyperior. Great Physical bulk and it was what I mainly based the team around. It does massive damage with most of it's moves, and the scizorite gives it powerful STAB moves, and it even can break Mimikyus with it's rock blast (you just need to get lucky enough for 3 hits or more). Dragon tail is probably the most important move on the set though, making it so you can choose to get a free turn of about 1/3 - 1/2 hp down on a mon for pretty much free, as most people wouldn't dare to switch into a Steel type, for the fear of a bulldoze.

Now, lets move on to Swanna. I already know what you're thinking- SWANNA?! SHE'S AWFUL! I understand that feeling, but it's honestly a great mon. If you choose the Blue Orb route, it completely forces Primal Groudons out and allows you to get a free defog off. It easly 1v1s keldeos and takes a hit from Pheromosa pretty well. It aslo has the capability to barely kill a Zygarde with an ice beam. However, the pidgeot form isn't bad either, as you get 65 + special atk, and 20 more speed. It never misses a hurricane and 2 shots Primal Groudon with a hurricane. Ice Beam is a garunteed kill on MANY things, and becomes much more powerful than the Blue Orb one, although you may not even need it on this set. Not half bad for a Swanna, eh?

Hoopa is very self explanatory. Dark Pulse is a nice special dark atk, and Hyperspace hole is for getting those annoying Toxapexes through subs and Protects. Focus blast is the only steel killing special atk he gets, and energy ball is just a filler. If you want, you can run psyshock in this slot for killing blisseys on the switch.

Manetric is a stranger version of the Raikou. However, it is now faster than a Raikou and can kill them in one hit with an HP Ground. Forces Golisopods out into either blissey or P-Don, meaning Swanna and Hoopa are both pretty good choices for switching into. Honestly, this mon is very important for the whole turnout of the game, and i would reccomend trying to keep this guy alive. It's a great pivot from Swanna, and vice versa.

Cryoganol is by far the easiest mon in here to swap out. If you want a spinner, here you go. The slowbronite gives him 80/120/135 bulk, and 125 special atk. However, there are better options out there, such as Mantine, Ferrothorn, and Tapu Lele, all with the Slowbronite or Sablenite. I feel that is important to have at least one of either of these on each team you make, so yeah.

Finally, we have Pheromosa. Pheromosa is SUCH a great mon for this team and we have so many pivots for it to truly shine. High Jump Kick one shots a heck of a lot of stuff, and Uturn does massive damage. However, as Phero will soon be banned from OU, i am not sure exactly how he will be played out in this meta. If he is ever banned, there is still Genesect, and other good Uturners and VoltSwitchers. Ice beam is just in case you need to kill a Zygarde, and Poison Jab kills many of the fairy types.

Thank you for reading this, and please have some fun with this team. If you would like to make suggestions (especially about the Cryoganal Swap) I am open and will try to check this site daily..

Yeah, this is a decent team, but has a few glaring flaws that hold it back from competing with the best of them. Namely, that you don't have a true Primal Groudon answer (a good bit of them run Stone Edge), you only have one way to break Blissey, and especially that you lack a Fairy answer.... meaning Z-Geomancy Xerneas kind of runs this team over.

With those bits in mind, here's a few changes that can make it better.

-Change that Scizorite to either Charizardite X or Pinsirite. While that Scizorite set is pretty cool, and is indeed perfectly usable, it does not really go toe to toe with Primal Groudon. Both of the suggested stones remove that nasty Ground weakness, and the former allows for even stronger Dragon Tails, at the cost of a Fairy weakness and an additional Ice weakness. Either way, the moveset will have to be changed around... do keep Stealth Rocks, though. The team really benefits from the additional chip damage.

-Put Nasty Plot on Hoopa-Unbound. Probably over Energy Ball. I do understand Hyperspace Hole, though... busting through Protect is real nice sometimes. Though the main downside is that you'll have to risk Focus Blast on Blissey, though it's better than nothing.

-You mentioned replacing Cyrogonal... yeah. Replace that with a Xerneas answering Steel, and preferably Specially Defensive. Magearna is the best answer, but Ferrothorn and Celesteela can also work, too. You can also slap Blue Orb on the latter two if you want to run Pidgeotite Swanna.

And that's it for now. The rest is actually pretty alright, which is the beauty of Mix and Mega. As for my own team... you'll be hearing from that one later.

Thanks for the help.

The Rhyperior could definitely go pretty well with the Charizardite X... I'll have to look into that. I think i do have some additional replacements for the Cyroganal. I think that a Sablenite Ferrothorn would be the best swap, as it gives me a new check to Slowbronite Blissey, and even magic bounce blissey might have a few difficulties breaking it.

Another thing that I would like to point out is that I haven't seen any Stone Edge P-Dons in quite a while, as the bulky set is quite a bit more viable in MnM. However, in the case of a stone edge, a Rhyperior Scizorite Rhyperior will 1v1 a P-don very well if you are running bulldoze instead of Eq. Sure, it's 10 less power but the speed drop means you'll be able to launch another one off. Pinsirite will catch people off gaurd though, so I think this will be a viable solution.

Nasty Plot Hoopa is definitely something everyone should be using on this set. Energy ball was mainly used just to kill a few more threats, such as Swampert and Quagsire. I have to say, a Nasty Plotted Focus Blast is straight up nasty. Does do about 45-75 on a Blissey (depending on which stone) and will be pretty good.

Thanks for the help, and please feel free to use this team :D

here's the mosa and gyarados team. avregen solgaleo helps vs psychics while gyara switches in on a surprising number of things (and imposter-proofs mosa before it megas). beware of lure pdon sets such as bolt strike, try to switch in chansey to scout for them (keep in mind that people assume giratina as the main pdon check). unaware audino is nice for guys like gengar and mmy with shell smash. gyarados is your gengar switchin which is kind of stupid (premise: get entrained, next turn mega into knockoff) but ig if you're worried you can run revelation dance on solgaleo. this team really opens your eyes to the defensive synergy of audino+giratina tho like holy cow they resist so much. as a note this team did pretty bad in bh open so i'm not too sure about its effectiveness but it at least does ok on the ladder.

this team focuses on utilizing xurk + illusion ray to lure in checks which is honestly pretty cool. quite standard defensive core here in fact i use almost the same defensive mons on every team lol. seeds xurk is a lot better than it looks, if the opponent has a switchin such as chansey you can just seed it and switch out, also it's really important to retain max hp to maintain illusion mind games hence owing on ray. no switching for shed (not counting chansey) but the team has three ways to kill it which should be enough. the more worrisome thing is the lack of sr on this team meaning that sash guys like aimscept threaten this team massively, try to get a slow uturn to chansey and go from there. for more stuff check out the rmt in my sig
[10:16:16] the ultimus: yo

[10:16:20] the ultimus: it's me.

[10:16:22] CLC6Zephyr: Hey.

[10:16:33] the ultimus: ok

[10:16:40] CLC6Zephyr: Let's get to the beeswax.

[10:16:58] the ultimus: so for a bh team, we need to start off with an idea

[10:17:17] the ultimus: do you have any?

[10:17:18] CLC6Zephyr: I remember that sweet Ho-oh set you had. Let's try to utilize that.

[10:17:28] the ultimus: ok

[10:18:10] the ultimus: so what are ho-oh's weaknesses?

[10:18:21] the ultimus: aps

[10:18:29] the ultimus: psychic surge mmy

[10:18:36] the ultimus: ogre

[10:18:40] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, those.

[10:18:43] the ultimus: thousand arrows

[10:18:50] the ultimus: those are the major ones

[10:19:03] CLC6Zephyr: So basically, we need a Dark, a Pdon check, and a water check.

[10:20:02] the ultimus: when i tried using it before

[10:20:06] CLC6Zephyr: I never really figured out how to fully check Mega Mewtwo Y.

[10:20:08] the ultimus: i added mega gyarados

[10:20:27] the ultimus: with fur coat

[10:20:59] the ultimus: but that loses to certain mmys

[10:21:03] the ultimus: like no guard

[10:21:07] CLC6Zephyr: Do Mewtwos run Secret Sword these days?

[10:21:13] the ultimus: probably

[10:21:27] CLC6Zephyr: Ugh, that discounts Ttar.

[10:21:49] the ultimus: ok

[10:21:53] the ultimus: i was thinking

[10:22:07] the ultimus: maybe a dark-type might not be the best answer

[10:22:07] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah?

[10:22:19] CLC6Zephyr: Oh, we going the Steel route?

[10:22:26] the ultimus: we could run something like

[10:22:34] the ultimus: regenvest solgaleo

[10:22:45] the ultimus: to also beat ogre

[10:22:52] CLC6Zephyr: ...Yeah, that isn't a bad Mewtwo check.

[10:23:14] the ultimus: something like

[10:23:21] CLC6Zephyr: Do we give this spin, or a Grass move to really put pressure on Ogre?

[10:23:33] the ultimus: sunsteel/core/uturn/

[10:23:52] the ultimus: let's add that last move later

[10:24:35] the ultimus: ok

[10:24:38] CLC6Zephyr: Ok.

[10:24:51] the ultimus: so we need a pretty stable pdon check

[10:24:58] CLC6Zephyr: Zygarde seems too obvious of a Pdon check, I feel.

[10:25:12] the ultimus: yeah they all carry ice moves

[10:25:23] CLC6Zephyr: We can safely run a nice dragon, though.

[10:25:26] the ultimus: the criteria for a pdon check is

[10:25:42] the ultimus: something that can eat v create and karrows

[10:25:48] the ultimus: from cb

[10:26:25] the ultimus: giratina is kinda cool

[10:26:27] CLC6Zephyr: This is why I'm thinking Fur Coat Giratina will work nicely for us.

[10:26:34] the ultimus: nice.

[10:26:55] the ultimus: it's weak to dark but it takes 0 from dark attacks

[10:26:59] CLC6Zephyr: With Goggles, naturally.

[10:27:09] CLC6Zephyr: Because screw spore.

[10:27:15] the ultimus: nice

[10:27:25] the ultimus: also beats ph gigas for us

[10:27:53] the ultimus: so for the set maybe like

[10:27:55] CLC6Zephyr: Ah, yeah. So Core Enforcer is a must.

[10:28:04] the ultimus: recovery/core/others

[10:28:57] CLC6Zephyr: Yep.

[10:28:59] the ultimus: ok

[10:29:14] CLC6Zephyr: Should that also be our Defogger?

[10:29:17] the ultimus: ho-oh/giratina/solgaleo

[10:29:25] the ultimus: sure

[10:29:35] CLC6Zephyr: ...Yeah, Gira's pretty stable.

[10:29:38] the ultimus: looks like it has free slots

[10:30:30] CLC6Zephyr: And Spectral's nice for a free slot. Maybe Spirit Shackle to make predictions more difficult.

[10:30:30] the ultimus: maybe sr too?

[10:30:37] the ultimus: hmm

[10:30:39] CLC6Zephyr: We can run SR, too.

[10:30:51] the ultimus: spectral is cool

[10:31:25] the ultimus: i think we need it to stop some stuff

[10:31:34] the ultimus: like ph xern

[10:31:39] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, same here.

[10:31:59] CLC6Zephyr: Ho-oh stops that already, though.

[10:32:04] the ultimus: true

[10:32:30] the ultimus: anyway if it doesn't work ofc we can fix the moves later

[10:32:38] CLC6Zephyr: I'm thinking we now get into the muscle of the team.

[10:32:58] the ultimus: we still have to cover the few things we lose to

[10:33:07] the ultimus: those being

[10:33:11] the ultimus: mainly aps

[10:33:30] CLC6Zephyr: What kind, power trip?

[10:33:44] the ultimus: that and unburden drum

[10:34:09] CLC6Zephyr: So priority +double hitting. Got it.

[10:34:15] the ultimus: we can't really wall it unless we run like unaware mega aggron

[10:34:30] CLC6Zephyr: We aren't going that defensive.

[10:34:31] the ultimus: so i think we need prankster haze

[10:34:41] CLC6Zephyr: That works, too.

[10:35:56] CLC6Zephyr: Prankster Pdon might be a funny lure toall sorts of things.

[10:36:16] the ultimus: oo

[10:36:36] the ultimus: imo what we should do is

[10:36:43] the ultimus: add the muscle

[10:36:46] CLC6Zephyr: But what the heck do we run on the thing? Bonemerang + recovery?

[10:36:55] the ultimus: then use an imposter-proof as the prankster

[10:37:25] CLC6Zephyr: So.... you're saying we use a Xurkitree.

[10:37:46] the ultimus: nah i already have a good xurk team

[10:38:00] CLC6Zephyr: But something Pdon can handle.

[10:38:11] the ultimus: not that

[10:38:15] the ultimus: i'm saying

[10:38:39] CLC6Zephyr: Ok, let's think of what we want sweeping.

[10:38:51] the ultimus: choose which mon to use prankster haze after we choose sweepers

[10:39:00] CLC6Zephyr: Gotya.

[10:39:01] the ultimus: all right

[10:39:11] the ultimus: got any heat?

[10:39:24] CLC6Zephyr: Adaptability Tyranitar-Mega sounds super fun.

[10:39:37] the ultimus: ooh

[10:39:57] the ultimus: something I always wanted to try but never worked was

[10:40:07] the ultimus: z trick or treat pursuit ttar

[10:40:18] CLC6Zephyr: YES that is so amazing.

[10:40:30] the ultimus: seems sukc

[10:40:39] CLC6Zephyr: Do we dual setup that thin?

[10:40:45] the ultimus: you never know tho maybe it will work

[10:40:57] the ultimus: run like

[10:41:10] the ultimus: treat/pursuit/HEAD SMASH/?

[10:41:13] CLC6Zephyr: We need to make sure not to use it on a pivot move.

[10:41:45] the ultimus: we need to FORCE PEOPLE OUT IN FEAR OF THIS TYRANITAR

[10:42:00] CLC6Zephyr: I'm thinking Knock Off for item stuff, or some other cool lure.

[10:42:03] the ultimus: and to do that, we need to think like a tyranitar

[10:42:18] the ultimus: how would we force the most people out?

[10:42:40] the ultimus: hmmm

[10:42:44] CLC6Zephyr: Kill their setp.

[10:42:48] CLC6Zephyr: *setup

[10:42:51] the ultimus: yes.

[10:43:18] the ultimus: so spectral thief then?

[10:43:19] CLC6Zephyr: But what exactly are we murderdeathing with this thing?

[10:43:30] the ultimus: audino?

[10:43:30] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, I was thinking spectral.

[10:43:46] the ultimus: maybe we should run recovery, head smash is too strong

[10:43:57] CLC6Zephyr: ...Yeah, recovery seems like a nice option, too.

[10:45:18] CLC6Zephyr: Now then, the proofing.

[10:45:35] CLC6Zephyr: Of Adaptability Ghostium Z Mega Ttar.

[10:45:40] the ultimus: honestly all i want to do with this ttar is pursuit trap an mmy

[10:45:48] the ultimus: we should be ok with giratina

[10:46:05] CLC6Zephyr: Honestly, yeah.

[10:46:26] CLC6Zephyr: We can Spectral it, and then recover.

[10:46:36] the ultimus: all right.

[10:46:43] the ultimus: so now

[10:47:04] the ultimus: we need to plan for a situation where there's an opposing fur coat tina

[10:47:13] the ultimus: and add another mon

[10:47:28] the ultimus: that threatens it, and fur coat mons in general

[10:47:49] CLC6Zephyr: Good point.

[10:48:01] the ultimus: keep in mind that

[10:48:11] CLC6Zephyr: Trapping is out, because Giratina's a ghost.

[10:48:19] the ultimus: the more obscure the imposter-proof has to be, the better

[10:48:36] CLC6Zephyr: We should make the proof our own Ho-oh.

[10:49:10] CLC6Zephyr: I was thinking contrary Shaymin Sky or something.

[10:49:52] the ultimus: ok

[10:50:01] the ultimus: first thing we have to consider is

[10:50:06] the ultimus: why shaymin sky?

[10:50:15] the ultimus: instead of like sceptile

[10:50:30] CLC6Zephyr: Maybe Mega Sceptile.

[10:50:36] the ultimus: are we tearin up opponents with our dragon ascents

[10:50:38] CLC6Zephyr: Ho-oh can super handle it.

[10:51:06] the ultimus: it's so funny how many teams just lose to sceptile if imposter is ded

[10:51:20] the ultimus: including all of mine unfortunately

[10:51:31] CLC6Zephyr: Do we sash Sceptile, or do we have a funnier item in mind...?

[10:51:56] the ultimus: once i used some crazy draco plate set, but it wasn't even imposter-proof anyway

[10:53:07] the ultimus: maybe like expert belt or something

[10:53:21] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, E-belt seems alright.

[10:53:36] CLC6Zephyr: This is not a HO team like mine that needed the sash for an emergency.

[10:54:16] the ultimus: other ideas i saw looking thru list:

[10:54:35] the ultimus: wide lens to not miss

[10:54:56] CLC6Zephyr: Oh yeah, missing isn't fun either...

[10:55:03] the ultimus: and shell bell, to recover hp on hits vs fat stuff

[10:55:12] the ultimus: but shell bell recovers 0

[10:55:36] CLC6Zephyr: Shell Bell is better on bulkier setup, imo.

[10:55:48] the ultimus: like you need to do 50% to a wall with as much hp as you to outrank leftovers

[10:55:57] CLC6Zephyr: Okay, our last thing needs to not be weak to fairy.

[10:56:10] the ultimus: that would be nice

[10:56:35] the ultimus: ho-oh beats pixi diancie and solga sort of beats magic guard

[10:57:22] the ultimus: we could run pdon

[10:57:24] CLC6Zephyr: Oh, yeah. Pixi Diancies don't run Diamond Storm. Forgot that isn't standard.

[10:57:28] the ultimus: like you suggested

[10:57:45] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, the Prankster Primal Groudon...

[10:57:45] the ultimus: prankster pdon

[10:58:24] the ultimus: haze/magic coat?/roost/karrows or smth

[10:58:51] CLC6Zephyr: Yeah, that seems ine.

[10:59:40] CLC6Zephyr: We're good now, and just in time; I need to get going!

[10:59:55] the ultimus: ok

[10:59:56] CLC6Zephyr: Hope that team does well. I'll see ya around!

[11:00:00] the ultimus: see you later o/

for the sake of efficiency lemme tag E4 Flint here so i don't have to make a post in the bh thread as well; if you feel that any of these teams are good enough then feel free to put them in the sample team archive! thanks for reading and i hope you enjoy the teams :>

Mdiancie just sort of checks sweepers and deals heavy damage to walls. It works pretty well in the current meta.

Scarf Technician MMX takes out Zygod and Gira, but Im thinking of replacing with something. Its not as effective in the current meta as APS sweepers are losing usage, and I would just lead with this and take them out.

Giratina was originally PH, but I didn't really like it and it never seemed to acomplish anything. Someone gave me the idea of Misty Terrain Giratina and its very helpful to this team, stomping PH users into the ground and stopping status from killing shedinja. It checks most physical attackers.

Moldie icium Pdon was added bc I've seen people use it to take out fat dragons like zygod and gira, and it worked well so I plopped it on the team. Its really hard to wall, and later when someone destroyed me with a mega slowbro, I ran bolt strike on the pdon to get rid of that.

Like most good sets I have, the magic bounce registeel was stole from somebody I was watching. I origially used anchor shot on it to get a definitive KO on ph sweepers and to take out imposter, but I feel that gaining momentum is more important, so I replaced that with u-turn. Registeel counters everything that gira and shed doesnt, like mmy, kyurem, and megaray

Shed has to be the MVP of this team. With defog and misty terrain support from my giratina, it can come in on a lot of stuff, including pdon, mdiancie, and miscellaneous threats that I've scouted with spiky shield to not have sunsteel/moongeist. I normally just use it as a pivot to bring out my attackers.

These were replays of an older variant of the team, with ph gira instead of misty, and some other stuff

yo something that i think will help you is running pursuit on pdon. in addition to trapping opposing shed it also tears apart imposter:

252 Atk Groudon-Primal Pursuit vs. -2 252 HP / 0- Def Eviolite Chansey: 4372-5144 (621 - 730.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO (-2 is to make the Defense stat 4 which would normally be impossible at level 100)

this helps both pdon and shed because some teams only have chansey as a shed switchin meaning that you can just go to town after that.

anyway cool team! it's been a while since i've seen a shed squad.

Let me tell u a story: Last generation I was 2 elo away from #1 as I had 1876 and Scepticeus had 1877. I had never been #1 before and it was a big deal to me. In my next game i battles a nub in the 1300s. He let my kyogre get 6 quiver dances and then sent in chansey. He got a crit with scald and i lost 25% of my health. Later he got a crit and I lost 100% of my health. I was triggered but i sent out my prankster registeel. I used prankster+dbond but this son of a bitch miss clicks and accidentally presses ice beam. I was then frozen and (ofc i didnt thaw) he proceeded to sweep the rest of my team as u dont usually have to improof pheal kyogre. I lost 48 elo that battle. I then battle my arch nemesis. It comes down to our last mons on both sides. I have a pdon with 9% health left and he has a prankster registeel. I proceed to miss not 1, not 2, but 3 v-creates in a row and am killed with u-turn. there went another 30 elo. Next game I lost because my prankster dbond registeel had 5 consecutive paralysis while his pdon set up 5 shift gears and then swept me. There went another 35 elo.I then lost to my nemesis again.-25ish. Next I have my cursed pdon as my last mon again ( i switched precicpice blades to karrows so i wouldnt miss). This boi has an aegislash with less than 50% left but unfortunately I am poisoned. This boi landed 4 consecutive king's shields in a row. -35ish elo. At this point i was raging so i took a break. When I came back a few hours later I was about to beat this scrab when the fucking power went out. I had to take a 2 week break from showdown after this ordeal. I'm not even kidding I can show u some of these replays that I saved. This actually happened no joke. I went from 1876-1386 in those 2 weeks. When I finally came back I proceeded to go 117-3 and was in first place with 1820 elo. This proves that no matter how fucking evil the rng decides to be, u can still come back. All it takes is one day with the right condtitions and u can ladder so fast. Anyways the point of this story is that i dont think u should quit. After all u have 127 teams u put too much time into this.
