Decision #1 - HSA / where did the party go

After some investigation, it has been found out the user where did the party go was actually HSA ♥.
HSA is a member of team Asia this year, and tried out for US West under "where did the party go". He actually was part of the first US West's line up sent to the TDs before the first round started.
Not only it is forbidden to make an alternate account on the forums, but it's a lot worse to enter a Tournament/sign up for a Tournament with two accounts, let alone an official one.

As a matter of fact, the TDs have decided to apply the following:
  • the alternate account will be banned.
  • HSA will be infracted (2 points).
  • HSA will be banned from the current WCoP.
  • HSA will be tour-banned in general for 6 months.
Considering that Asia wasn't aware of HSA's actions and isn't condemnable for them, they're allowed to sub him out of their roster. blarajan, please send your new player, as well as his eligibility, to M Dragon as soon as possible.

RIP

RE: Go10 vs jsaok3

In the DPP match Go10 vs jsaok3, on Turn 2 jsaok3 D/Ced from the match at 210+ seconds. The timer was stopped by a TD at 30 seconds, but was turned on again due to a disagreement at the TD level, and the timer was run out.

Because this has been determined to be a true D/C, of which cases are handled differently than timeouts and on a case by case basis, and because there was disagreement at the TD level during the match, as well as the D/C happening at such an early stage of the match, the match will need to be replayed. This decision does not affect precedent as there were too many variables and staff involvements to make this a standard case. Because the D/Cer did not send their team, new teams will need to be used for the replay match.

As well, it will be made clear here that staff, of which includes any PS staff or Smogtours staff, are not allowed to turn off the timer at any point during a match, and the timer must be turned on from Turn 1. If any staff turns off the timer, the timer will be turned back on immediately. Also, once again, please for the love of all that is holy, SEND IN YOUR TEAMS before playing a match.

apparently we didn't make a call on this one 9.9

RE: High Impulse vs ZoroDark

In the ORAS match High Impulse vs ZoroDark, at some point during the match ZoroDark experienced a true DC and the timer was run down to 10 seconds and was stopped. The match was resumed when ZoroDark logged back. At Turn 61 the timer was turned on again by High Impulse, and ZoroDark was timed out due to only having 10 seconds remaining from the previous DC.

Due to the way the timer functions, it is unlikely that either player was aware ZoroDark only had 10 seconds at the point that the timer was turned back on. As well, this match took place before the above decision was posted and the timer was turned off in a show of sportsmanship to allow the match to be completed.

Because the match was in a stage where neither player had a clear advantage, the functionality and use of the timer being weird, the match will be replayed with the same teams teams. Same teams same situation before the DC happened.

Edit by M Dragon: After looking at this case again, the rematch will be with same teams and same situation instead of different teams.

RE: aim vs Improbable

During the ORAS match of aim vs Improbable, aim timed out from 90 seconds at Turn 45 claiming a true DC. However, the TD team has decided that due to the circumstances of the match and the fact that a true DC could not be determined because the timer was too low at the time of the supposed DC, the ruling of the match is a timeout. In timeout situations the match is considered a loss for the player that timed out. The winner of the match is therefore Improbable.

Robert vs Nova

Nova DCd when he was in a bad position and when he had 60 seconds left. Since a true DC could not be determined because the timer was too low at the time of the supposed DC, the ruling of the match is a timeout.
The winner is Robert

lavos spawn, who got banned during round 1, will not be allowed to participate in any official tournaments while he is still banned.

There is no lasting precedence for this scenario, as both kd24 / ctc have been allowed to play in tournaments under a ban, and both aqualouis (2 spls ago) and masterclass (2 wcos ago) were going to be banned from the tournaments they were currently in (but allowed when I decided to be extra lenient).

A player banned during an official tournament is always a case by case basis and will continue to be such moving forward.

RE: dice vs bro fist

M Dragon made the call earlier for a recreation of the match after dice true DC'd midway through the game, but after some missed scheduling and conflicts for the game, M Dragon has called for a double substitution, new game for this match so that it can be completed (he's just a butt and didn't make a post so here it is).

RE: dice vs bro fist 2.0

Due to the circumstances surrounding the original decision for the match between dice and bro fist, namely the fact that no TDs were available during the period that the match occurred and both players had to leave before deadline, M Dragon's original ruling of a recreation of the game is preferable and therefore an extension of a day will be granted to complete the game.
