Ubers Mega Salamence

Mega Salamence's access to a great set-up move in Dragon Dance, great recovery in Roost, and a great ability both before and after Mega Evolving create a perfect storm in Ubers, and it is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. Its astounding Speed and Attack also help it outspeed and eliminate common threats in the Ubers tier such as Lunala, Yveltal, and Rayquaza, to name a few. Additionally, Mega Salamence's Defense stat lets it easily set up on most physical attackers.

Salamence @ Salamencite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 44 HP / 252 Atk / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Double-Edge
- Roost
- Facade / Earthquake

This set utilizes Mega Salamence's great stats to make it an effective bulky sweeper by letting it outspeed many Ubers threats and maximizing its Attack and putting a few EVs into HP for a bit of extra bulk. The Speed EVs let Mega Salamance outspeed +1 Yveltal, Xerneas, and Rayquaza when at +1 itself. Intimidate lets Mega Salamence semi-reliably set up on physical attackers or just lower their Attack if they stay in. Dragon Dance is a wonderful set-up move, boosting both Attack and Speed, which are a physical sweeper's two most important stats. Double-Edge is an extremely powerful STAB move after Aerilate, OHKOing Xerneas and 2HKOing most defensive Arceus formes after Stealth Rock and at +1. Facade is a secondary STAB option that is further boosted if Salamence is inflicted with a status condition. With Toxic being especially common in Ubers and burns from Giratina, Mega Sableye, and Ho-Oh being commonplace as well, Facade lets Mega Salamence act as a sort of pseudo-status absorber. Facade also has the added bonus of not dealing recoil to Salamence. Earthquake can be used as an alternative to Facade to hit Rock- and Steel-types such as Arceus-Rock, Magearna, and Solgaleo, as it OHKOes the latter two at +1. Return is a notable alternative to Double-Edge that doesn't have recoil and has more Base Power than Facade, but it simply lacks the power that Double-Edge grants.

However, Mega Salamence does carry a few downsides with it, notablely a weakness to Stealth Rock and Fairy-type moves. Walls such as Zygarde-C and Celesteela also give Mega Salamence issues. Arceus-Rock's resistance to Flying-type moves as well as its great bulk allow it to wall Mega Salamence better than most other Pokemon, but it does have to be aware of Earthquake. Options other than the set above include Defog, a move used better by bulkier support Pokemon such as bulky Arceus formes and Giratina-O, Refresh, a move that doesn't work as well as Facade unless Salamence is paralyzed, as Refresh deals no damage and merely cures status, and finally Outrage is a Dragon-type STAB that breaks through Zygarde-C, but this keeps Salamence from switching and isn't necessary.

So go ahead! Slay some gods in Ubers with Mega Salamence!

I don't see mention of Mega Salamence's bulk anywhere, which is pretty important in allowing it to set up on most physical attackers that are not able to phaze it.

Toxic isn't the only thing Facade benefits from, burns should be mentioned as well since this allows Mega Salamence to switch into Giratina, Mega Sableye, and Ho-Oh easier. Note that Return allows Salamence to avoid recoil damage.

Add a paragraph that describes some of Mega Salamence's flaws, notably its SR weakness and vulnerability to Fairy-types and walls such as Zygarde-C and Celesteela. Other options, such as Defog, should be mentioned as well.

Ok done

Might wanna include what mons 212 Adamant outspeeds (Timid Scarf Yveltal/Xern and below at +1, max speed base 100s and below when unboosted). There is a bulkier spread currently being used but for the sake of simplicity in usage (its a Facebook post and not an analysis) I think 212 speed and max Attack is ok to recommend.
