Ubers Landorus-T (QC 3/3) (GP 2/2)

-Know your limits though, this will fail to break through defoggers: Giratina/-O, and Supportceus.
That's what Toxic is there to help with.

Also, you made a mention somewhere about the odd ice punch MMX. Just so you know, Ice Beamm MMX will get a set in the Mewtwo analysis.

You put too much detail in the headers for hte checks and counters. You can specific how water arc is more annoying than the other support arceus or how the landorus that you are being checked by isn't your own in the blurb after the header. Try to shift those details to the descriptions

QC Approved 2/3

i wanted some qc input on it to see if the analysis is detailed enough or if some parts needed more detail and that stuff, otherwise its ready for 3rd qc i think

I am not GP, this is merely practice, so you do not have to even take anything from this post(:

Overview

SupportingSportingSupporting doesn't really make sense here, I'm assuming you meant sporting? a large base 145 attack, and great physical bulk bolstered furthered by its ability, intimidateIntimidate, Landorus-T is back and ready to terrorize those who it can in the treacherous Gen 6 Ubers metagame. It's excellent typing give teams it's on an invaluable immunity to Ground and Electric type attacks. Not only does its great typing and ability give it immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web, but is also one of the biggest reasons to use it above the other ground types inhibiting the tier. Furthermore, being blessed with great offensive and support moves, it is capable of running a few different viable sets. However, all is not well for this Cool Cat, it is quite frail on the special side and is pretty slow, meaning most Special Attackers in the tier either force it out or flat out OHKO it. Also, having no access to reliable recovery means that its longevity is greatly compromised.

Physically Defensive
########
name: +1 blaziken pls strong name imo
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-TurnU-turn
item: Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def / 4 Atk
Nature: Impish

Moves
========

Earthquake is a standard stabSTAB move for Landorus-T, and it still hits relatively hard, even when having no attack investment due to Landorus-T's high attack stat and STAB you already said STAB, no need to say it again. Stealth rockRock is ana mandatory support move for all teams and Landorus-T is one of the better users of the move in the Ubers tier, finding many chances to set it up due to its physical bulk. Stone Edge is there to hit what Earthquake cannot, so that Pokemon with Levitate or Flying typing don't completely wall this set. However, if Stone Edge isn't doing super effective damage, it won't be doing much damage due to lack of STAB and attack investment. Toxic is an excellent move for Landorus-T, allowing it to put pressure on Pokemon that otherwise like to switch in on Landorus-T, such as Hippowdon, Groudon, Lugia, Support Arceus, other Landorus-T and the likes. Toxic also prevents Support Arceus from being able to stay in and constantly Defog away your rocks, and in general prevents walls from remove double space herehaving the ability to constantly recover in front of you. U-turn is another great option to consider as it provides your team with momentum, and is useful considering all the switches Landorus-T tends to cause, meaning that you can U-turn out into your own appropriate counter/check.

Set Details
========

The EV Spread is pretty straight forward, with maxed out HP and Defense so that Lando-T can do what it does best, which is annoy Physical Attackers. Since Lando-T has no other form of recovery, Leftovers is a must if you are using it as a defensive pivot. The remaining 4 EVs can go into attack to make your attacking moves hit a bit harder.

Usage Tips
========

In general, do not try to bring Landorus-T in on Special Attackers, especially not those faster than it, as most Special Attackers will have a way to either significantly damage Landorus-T or or OTKeven OHKO it, effectively rendering it useless for the rest of the matchHonestly, I didn't know what OTK meant, but I assume it means one turn kill? I don't know, it just fit oddly. The best way to capitalize on its Bulk is to instead bring it in on Physical Attackers or Walls which can't do much to you in return, allowing you opportune time to set up rocks, attack, or U-Turn out. Landorus-T is especially good for those teams which have trouble with prominent Physical Attackers, but be varywary of Physical Attackers who are capable of running Mixed Sets. In terms of countering Extreme Killer, despite being Physically Defensive it cannot actually beat a full health Extreme Killer, as Landorus-T cannot phase it out and due to good bulk, Extreme Killer can set up again. It is recommended to have a Pokemon who can deal with Extreme Killer, such as Support Arceus with Will O WispWill-o-Wisp, Physically Defensive Yveltal, Ho-Oh, Lugia (which can also tank Special Attacks) and such.

Team Options
========

Since Landorus-T won't be tanking much special attacks, a switch into Special Attackers is highly recommended, such as Blissey and Arceus-Grass. A Cleric is also very useful since Landorus-T doesn't have any form of healing itself, from either Status or its HP. Having a Cleric which is a Fairy type, like Sylveon and Xerenas also gives your team dual immunity to Zekrom. Specially Defensive Kyogre makes a great partner, as it can tank most Special Attacks/ and Status aimed at Landorus-T, and can also phase. Water Arceus also resists Ice/Water attacks, and has good typing synergy with Landorus-T in terms of Electric type moves, same can also apply to Kyogre above. Palkia is also a good partner, as it can take on water attacks aimed at Landorus-T while also simultaneously being able to beat the physical walls that Landorus-T has trouble with otherwise.

Offensive Earth Plate
########
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-Turn
item: Earth Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Speed / 4 Def
nature: Adamant / Jolly

Moves
========

Stealth Rock is a standard support move for the whole team once again. Earthquake is there to hit incredibly hard, and now hits even harder with full attack investment and an Earth Plate. Stone Edge is there to hit anything that Earthquake cannot. Even given the offensive nature of this set, there are some Pokemon which it cannot break through, and that is where Toxic comes in. Toxic allows it to put pressure on a lot of those Pokemon. U-Turn is also a great option which allows it to keep offensive momentum on offensive teams which this set should be used on.

Set Details
========

The EV Spread is straightforward, full investment in attack and speed, to let it hit hard and fast. Earth Plate is preferred on this set to boost the power of Earthquake, and not have the nasty recoil of Life Orb. Adamant nature is preferred since it gives Landorus-T just a bit more power. A Jolly nature can be used as that guarantees you that Landorus-T will outspeed all Base 90's lacking a scarf sch as Kyogre, Zekrom, Dialga and Ho-Oh, which can be nice. However, most of these run an adamant/modest nature of their own, but it is still important to know that if they run a speed boosting nature of their own, they will outspeed you, so keep that in mind.

Usage Tips
========

Since this Landorus-T set aims to be more offensive than the others and faster, don't be afraid to attack or scout with U-Turn if the situation allows for it. This set is also capable of putting pressure on Mega Scizor as a defogger, as it does approximately 50% to Max HP variants. Know your limits though, this will fail to break through defoggers; Giratina (A/O),both formes of Giratina and Support Arceus without the use of Toxic, and even then, be aware that they can put offensive pressure on you before you do to them. This Landorus-T really hates burn more than anything, if faced with a Pokemon that can outspeed and OTKOHKO? you, and is likely that it carry status, switch out. It is also important to keep in mind that this Landorus-T does not have nearly the same bulk as the previous set, so be varywary of mindlessly switching it into Physical Attackers, as even they can break this set down with enough wear and tear.

Team Options
========

Given the offensive nature of this set, it is best suited on offensive oriented teams. Since this set has a lot of trouble with physical walls, Pokemon which can take out these walls is recommended. Mega Gengar, and albeit a neicheniche, Gothitelle both can come in on Support Arceus and beat them, making Landorus-T's job significantly easier. Furthermore, Palkia and Xerneas make great partners as they can beat both Giratina (O/A)formes, and Physical walls in general. Since this Landorus-T hates status, a one time status absorber is nice to have as well, examples being Cleric 3 Attacker Xerneas, Ho-Oh, and potentially even some Sleep Talk users. Just like with the defensive set, something that can switch into special attacks aimed at Landorus-T is good to have present on the team as well. Sylveon, Bronzong, Blissey, Aegislash, Arceus-Grass (Support Arceus in general) are good examples.

Double Dance
########
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Rock Polish
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Lum Berry / Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk / 168 Spd / 92 HP
Nature: Adamant

Moves
========

The moveset is simple, Swords Dance and Rock Polish are what allow it to potentially sweep if both are set up. Earthquake and Stone Edge give it the famous EdgeQuake combo, which allow it to hit all Pokemon. Earthquake is what you will be spamming most, and Stone Edge to hit everything else.

Set Details
========

The attack stat is maxed out so it can do as much damage after either boost as fast as possible, while the Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all Base 108 Scarfers and below after a Rock Polish boost. The rest of the EVs are placed into HP to give Landorus-T some bulk. The choice between Life Orb and Lum Berry can be an interesting one. While Life Orb gives you a really high damage output as compared to Lum Berry.
    • 252+ Atk Life Orb Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Palkia: 253-298 (78.5 - 92.5%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
    • 252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Palkia: 195-229 (60.5 - 71.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

    • 252+ Atk Life Orb Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kyogre: 277-328 (80.9 - 95.9%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
    • 252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kyogre: 213-252 (62.2 - 73.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

    • 252+ Atk Life Orb Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Genesect: 265-312 (93.3 - 109.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
      • 252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Genesect: 204-240 (71.8 - 84.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
But, given the status heavy meta, Lum Berry is also a great option. Life Orb is better for immediate sweeping if you find that you only have time to usually set up only one boost, where as Lum Berry gives you the benefit of setting up in front of Pokemon that might otherwise Will-o-Wisp/Toxic it (which would mostly include Walls and Support Arceus), which in turn means that you have an easier time setting up both boosts.

Usage Tips
========

This set is generally highly outclassed by Groudon, and unless you have a very specific reason for using Landorus-T (ie, you need a ground immunity on your team, or for some reason Groudon's weather interferes with your team infrastructure) always consider Groudon for this role before Landorus-T. Groudon has better overal bulk to take on priority, and a slightly higher attack stat as well. That being said, when using this set, it is not necessary to set up both moves, and you should take a close look at your opponents team before deciding on which boost to use. Set up Rock Polish against Heavy Offensive teams, and Swords Dance against bulky/stall teams. However, you will need both boosts to get past Balanced Teams. On another note, don't try setting up if there is a Pokemon on your opponents team that can force out Landorus-T without taking much damage themselves in the process, most notably Giratina-O, Gliscor, and other Landorus-T. Naturally, don't try to set up in front of something that can flat out OTKOHKO you. Your best bet is to set up on a Pokemon which can't harm you much, or something you know your opponent will switch out. This set is best used as a late game sweeper, when all its checks and counters are gone. When you attempt your sweep, ensuerensure that Stealth Rock is up, as it turns many 2HKO's into OHKO's.

Team Options
========

As with all other Landorus-T sets, having something that can remove Physically Defensive Pokemon is a must. For this set especially, it cannot sweep unless they have been removed. Palkia, Mewtwo (Special Attacking Variants), and Kyurem-W are all excellent options, which can decimate anything which had dreams of walling Landorus-T. Mega Gengar can be used to trap Support Arceus and in general, trap anything which might be able to stop Landorus-T's sweep. Screens support is especially useful, as it allows Landorus-T to set up much easier, Klefki and Deoxys formes are some usable Screens user which can pair up with Landorus-T. Wobueffet can also help Landorus-T set up through the use of Encore and Safeguard. Lastly, since this Landorus-T doesn't carry rocks, have another Pokemon present on your team which can (which has dissimilar typing as Landorus-T).

Choice Band
########
name: lol ekiller? i kill.
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: U-Turn
move 4: Superpower / Explosion
item: Choice Band
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def
Nature: Adamant

Moves
========

As with other movesets, Earthquake and Stone Edge give it the EdgeQuake combo. U-Turn is an excellent scouting move and a save move to spam if you don't know what's going to come in, it also allows you to keep up the offensive pressure. Superpower allows Landorus-T to hit Ferrothron, and guarantees an OTKOHKO on full health Extreme Killer Arceus form after Rocks (and any other Arceus which is hit for super effective damage by Superpower). Explosion is the hit all nuke button, being incredibly powerful, OTK'ingOHKO'ing Full Health Arceus formes 62% of the time and OTK'ingOHKO'ing Gliscor switch ins. However be very cautious of using this move as you lose Landorus-T after using it, and be very vary of the Pokemon which remain on your opponents team (steel/ghost/rockSteel-, Ghost-, and Rock-types especially). Knock Off is another really good move which allows you to cripple some of the common switch ins to Landorus-T by removing their item, but becomes significantly weaker afterwards.

Set Details
========

The EV Spread maximizes attack and bulk, while at the same time ensuring that you will never be OTK'dOHKOed by +1 252 Adamant Nature Extreme Killer Extreme Speed with Life Orb after taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Given the nature of the moves of Lando-T, be extremely careful of choosing which move you lock yourself into, as two of the moves have an immunity against them, so be very cautious about which move you choose as you want to minimize the amount of free turns you give your opponent. So tread cautiously, and look at your opponents team before choosing your move. However, don't use this as an Extreme Killer check, as if Landorus-T is even a bit weakened, Extreme Killer can rip right through this, leaving you in a bad spot. In other words, have another Extreme Killer check present on your team. Also keep a close eye on this things health through out the match if you still intend to use this to take on physical attackers.

Team Options
========

Like all other Landorus-T sets, a teammate who can remove physically defensive walls is really appreciated. Kyurem-W, and Yveltal can help remove some of the Defensive switch ins to Landorus. Darkrai is also not a bad option, as it can deal damage to physical walls, while also providing geenral team support with Sleep and Taunt. As always, a cleric is really useful, as if this is burnt, it is essentially ruined. As with the Double Dance set, since this set doesn't carry Rocks either, have another Rocks user with dissimilar weaknesses as Landorus-T. Also, since you will be locked into a move that will give your opponent free moves a lot of the times, it is pivotal for your team to have a good backbone and defensive switch ins. See Team Options for the Defensive Set above.

Other Options
########

A Choice Scarf set is possible, as its 91 Base Speed allows it outspeed the main base 90 Scarfers like Zekrom/Kyogre, but 91 is still a bad speed stat, and there are better scarfers out there. You can also troll and run Hidden Power Ice to hit opposing Landorus-T, Gliscor's, and try to hit some other physically defense Ground types from their slightly lower Special Defense stat, but it really isn't worth it. A pure Rock Polish or Swords Dance set can be tried, but once again, Groudon is a much better option for both cases. Groudon also has a wider move pool to abuse either boost as opposed to Landorus-T whose third move would be limited to Superpower/Explosion and maybe Facade. You can also run Knock Off on some of the sets if you feel like it, however it is usually an inferior option, and Landorus-T's other moves offer more general utility and support. Other than what has already been listed, there isn't really much that Landorus-T can (and should) be running in Ubers.

Checks & Counters
########
**Support Arceus**: , Arceus Grass and Water especially, can usually come in most attacks Lando-T carry and recover off any damage while Defogging away rocks, and burning Lando-T., they hate Toxic however.

**Griatina-O/Alternate**: Giratina-O is immune to Lando-T's stab and takes pittance from anything bar a SD Boosted Stone Edge, and can force Lando-T by D-Tail, or threaten to burn. Specially Inclined versions can OTKOHKOed w/DMeteorwith Draco Meteor.

**Gliscor**:Unlike most other physical walls who wall Lando-T, Gliscor doesn't even fear Toxic, and due to its typing takes near nothing from any attack Lando-T offers.

**Landorous-T**: Annoys Landorus-T in the same way Landorus-T other physical attackers. In return though, unless it carries Toxic or Hidden Power Ice it can't do much back to Landorus-T.

**Hippowdon**: Due to massive physical bulk, it can come in on Landorus-T over and over again only fearing a potential toxic.

**Bronzong**: Is immune to its main stab, and resists Stone Edge, and is also immune to Toxic.

**Skarmory**:Is immune to Toxic, and like all the other walls, Landorus fails to do much, if at all to Skarmory, while Skarmory can set up Rocks or phaze it away.

**Faster Special Attacking Pokemon**: Palkia, Kyogre (if you know you do not outspeed), Mega Mewtwo Y, regular Mewtwo, Xerneas, and the likes, while they might not be able to switch in, most can easily flat out OTKOHKO Lando with Super Effective Coverage.

**Burn/ToxicStatus**:Since it has no reliable recovery, and is a physical attacker, both Toxic and Burn are real nuisances for it.
You need spaces between each one. Also, I may have accidentally skipped some Lando-T, they all need to be Landorus-T.

It's 4:00 AM, sorry if I made some mistakes u.u Nice job though!

Opposing Lando-T are common enough to warrant a slash imo, especially on this set with the LO boost. since you use this on HO you will pave way for Zekrom. Explosion is great tool on HO too, it prevents defogs and does upwards 90 % to max hp Arceus. Usage is especially for deo-a/s based teams. Lum Berry is better done by Groudon, imo. you can even run u turn on a rock polish set to build momentum early game, but it's situational.

Why so much speed?
Slash items like Leftovers/Life Orb, LO is really only useful on HO, with SD and leftovers you can boost past opposing Lando-T and proceed to sweep, and for a pivot like Lando leftovers is generally more useful. (with leftoves it works great as a pivot even if double dance).

the speed was originally for Scarf Terrak but i guess we cud go 116 (idk what that outspeed of top of my head, base 100s i would guess), since scarf terrak and terrak as a whole isnt too relevant in ubers anymore, and yeah i dont mind slashing leftovers and changing the spread to that, just want to know what qc thinks.

on a side note, if we do change to kebabes 116 spread, maybe groudons Rock Polish ev spread would need a change? for consistency across analysis I mean, (as im pre sure Groudon's RP set was aimed to outspeed scarf terrak too, or i could be wrong. just doenst make sense for this RP set to outspeed Base 100s and Groudons Base 108, imo)

Overview looks good.

Physically Defensive

In Set Details, change "annoy Physical Attackers" to "check many physical attackers." It can do far more than simply annoy them, Groudon really struggles vs. Lando-T.

Usage Tips needs some work, as no competent player will bring in Lando on special attackers. This is common knowledge! Also specify what mixed attackers can surprise and defeat Lando-T (Life Orb Zekrom comes to mind as something to watch out for).

Offensive Earth Plate

Excellent job here.

Boosting Set

The set name seems awkward. "Booster" would be better.

"which can prevent the opponent from using Defog due to Arceus being a prime defogger" <---- No, that isn't the reason why Explosion prevents Defog. Explosion prevents Defog from actually hitting a target, so it does not activate.

Mention a Naughty nature with HP Ice to increase the move's power.

Choice Band

This Lando set can check Lum EKiller, so it can be used as an "ekiller check." It should never be used by itself though.

Other Options

91 isn't a bad Speed stat for a scarfer at all. Lando is a bad scarfer because its only usable STAB has common immunities.

This section covers information that is in the main part of the analysis (such as Boosting moves and Hidden Power ice) and needs to be edited a lot. I'll add more about this later.

Checks & Counters

Add Physically Defensive Toxic Scizor. Also, I know I am not GP but make sure you fix your spelling mistakes in this section. Several Pokemon have their name misspelled.

oops, yeah i fixed Giratina + Landorus's Spelling, other than that i didn't see any spelling mistakes, so if there were more i missed in the CC my bad, also on mention of how HP Ice and Boosting moves are mentioned in OO, until yesterday the set was just Double Dance, and no mention of a pure RP Set or HP Ice was there, so after Hack posted the new set I forgot to change the OO accordingly, anyways, i'll do your changes as soon as i can!

Sweep .
I added all the changes you wanted, the only thing I didn't edit was Other Options, so I'll wait for what you want in there, cuz idk what else to put other than a Scarf Set. (and HP Ice / Pure RP/SD and like Knock Off, which as you said is mentioned in the main analysis)

EPlate/Booster is missing set name. Also use the formal set names since this is written now (i.e. no +1 blaziken pls lol).

IMO change name of Booster to "Setup Sweeper", bit cleaner imo.

Remove HP Ice/RP/SD from OO since they have/are on sets. OO should be limited to Choice Scarf, Knock Off, Gravity, and Substitute (since Lando forces switches pretty easily).

Good otherwise.

In terms of countering Extreme Killer Arceus, despite being physically defensive, it cannot actually beat a full health Extreme Killer, as Landorus-T cannot phase it out and due to good bulk, Extreme Killer can set up again. Toxic allows it to put pressure on a lot of those Pokemon. U-turn is also a great option which allows it to keep offensive momentum on offensive teams,[add] which this set should be used on.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is straightforward, full investment in Attack and Speed, to let it hit hard and fast. Earth Plate is preferred on this set to boost the power of Earthquake, and not have without the nasty recoil of Life Orb. An Adamant nature is preferred since it gives Landorus-T just a bit more power. A Jolly nature can be used as that guarantees you that Landorus-T will outspeed all base 90's Speed Pokemon lacking a not using Choice Scarf such as Kyogre, Zekrom, Dialga,[add] and Ho-Oh, which can be nice. However, most of these run an adamant/modest Adamant or a Modest nature of their own. It is still important to keep in mind that if they do run a Speed-boosting nature, they will outspeed you.

Usage Tips
========

Since this Landorus-T set aims to be more offensive than the others and faster, don't be afraid to attack or scout with U-turn if the situation allows for it. This set is also capable of putting pressure on Mega Scizor as a Defogger, as it does approximately 50% to max HP variants. Know your its limits though, this as it will fail to break through Defoggers like both formes of Giratina,[remove] and support Arceus without the use of Toxic, and even then, be aware that they can put offensive pressure on you before you do to the same to them. This Landorus-T really hates burn more than anything, so if faced with a Pokemon that can outspeed and OHKO Landorus-T you, and it is likely that it carry status can burn, switch out. It is also important to keep in mind that this Landorus-T does not have nearly the same bulk as the previous other sets, so be wary of mindlessly switching it into physical attackers, as even they can break this set down with enough wear and tear.

Team Options
========

Given the offensive nature of this set, it is best suited on offensive oriented teams. Since this set has a lot of trouble with physical walls, Pokemon which can take out these walls is are recommended. Mega Gengar and,[add] albeit a niche, Gothitelle both can come in on support Arceus and beat them, making Landorus-T's job significantly easier. Furthermore, Palkia and Xerneas make great partners as they can beat both Giratina formes, and physical walls in general. Since this Landorus-T hates status, a one time status absorber is nice to have as well, examples being Cleric Xerneas, Ho-Oh, and potentially even some Sleep Talk users. Just like with the defensive set, something that can switch into special attacks aimed at Landorus-T is good to have present on the team as well. Sylveon, Bronzong, Blissey, Aegislash, and Arceus-Grass (Support Arceus in general) are good examples.

Setup Sweeper
########
name: Setup Sweeper
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Rock Polish
move 4: Swords Dance / Explosion / HP Hidden Power Ice
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 Atk / 116 Spd / 140 HP 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
nature
: Adamant

Moves
========

The moveset is fairly simple; Earthquake is standard STAB, while Stone Edge allow you to hit Flying-types, and in general Earthquake plus Stone Edge form great type synergy. Rock Polish is what makes this set work, giving it immense Speed which allows it to make use of its great Attack stat. The last move can be a bit of a toss up; Swords Dance is an excellent move which boosts Landorus-T's Attack stat even further, but may be hard to set up alongside Rock Polish. Explosion is an another amazing option,[add] doing up to 90% on max HP Arceus formes. Furthermore, Explosion prevents both a Rapid Spin and a potential Defog due to there being no target for the Pokemon to use the move on. Hidden Power Ice is mainly to be used only if you want this set to significantly damage other Landorus-T and Gliscor as otherwise this set is walled significantly by them.

Set Details
========

The Attack stat is maxed out so it can do as much damage after either boost as fast as possible, while the Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all base 100 Speed Choice Scarfers users and below after a Rock Polish boost. The rest of the EVs are placed into HP to give Landorus-T some bulk. If you are using HP Hidden Power Ice as the final move, a Naughty nature can also be used so that HP Hidden Power Ice's power isn't weakened. Life Orb is the prime choice for this set as it gives a large power boost to Landorus-T, allowing it to have a large chance to OHKO common Uber Pokemon if Rocks are Stealth Rock is up, and also boosts the power of HP Hidden Power Ice if you choose to use it. Another item that can be considered on this set is Lum Berry.[add] Lum Berry allows you Landorus-T to set up on Pokemon that would otherwise just status you it, thus allowing for more set up opportunities. One final item that can be considered if you are using Swords Dance is used is Leftovers. While seemingly odd, Leftovers allows even this variant of Landorus-T to act as a semi-defensive pivot, while also allowing Landorus-T to set up against other Landorus-T,[remove] and walls lacking Toxic or Will-O-Wisp. It is important to note that the power drop that comes with using Leftovers or Lum Berry is quite significant, and Landorus-T will lose a number of OHKO's OHKOs.

Usage Tips
========

This set is generally highly outclassed by Groudon, and unless you have a very specific reason for using Landorus-T (ie i.e., you need a Ground immunity on your team, or for some reason Groudon's weather Drought interferes with your team infrastructure) always consider Groudon for this role before Landorus-T. Groudon has better overal bulk to take on priority, and a slightly higher Attack stat as well. That being said, when using this set, it is not necessary to set up with both moves, and you should take a close look at your opponent's team before deciding on which boost to use get. Set up Rock Polish against Heavy Offensive teams, and Swords Dance against bulky/stall teams. However, you will need both boosts to get past balanced teams. On another note, don't try setting up if there is a Pokemon on your opponents team that can force out Landorus-T without taking much damage themselves in the process, most notably Giratina-O, Gliscor, and other Landorus-T (unless you Landorus-T carry carries HP Hidden Power Ice, in which case Gliscor and Landorus-T are significantly easier to deal with). Naturally, don't try to set up in front of something that can flat out OTK you OHKO Landorus-T. Your best bet is to set up on a Pokemon which that can't harm you hurt Landorus-T much, or something you know your opponent will switch out. This set is best used as a late-game sweeper, when all its checks and counters are gone. When you attempt your sweep, ensure that Stealth Rock is up, as it turns many 2HKOs into OHKOs.

Team Options
========

As with all other Landorus-T sets, having something that can remove physically defensive Pokemon is a must. For this set especially, it cannot sweep unless they have been removed. Palkia, Mewtwo (Special Attacking Variants), and Kyurem-W are all excellent options, which and can decimate anything which had dreams of walling that walls Landorus-T. Mega Gengar can be used to trap support Arceus,[add] and in general, trap anything which that might be able to stop Landorus-T's sweep. Screens Dual screen support is useful, as it allows Landorus-T to set up much easier, with Klefki and Deoxys formes are two some usable Screens dual screens users, which can pair up with Landorus-T. Wobbuffet can also help Landorus-T set up through the use of Encore and Safeguard. If you chose to run HP Hidden Power Ice on this set, Zekrom is an excellent partner as Landorus-T can lure common Ground types in and attempt to knock them out, paving the way for a Zekrom rampage. Lastly, since this Landorus-T doesn't carry rocks Stealth Rock, have another Pokemon present on your team which can (which has dissimilar typing as Landorus-T), a possible example being Deo-S/A Deoxys-S and Deoxys-A lead's on hyper offensive teams.

Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Superpower / Explosion
item: Choice Band
EVs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def
Nature: Adamant

Moves
========

As with other movesets, Earthquake and Stone Edge give it the EdgeQuake combo. U-turn is an excellent scouting move and a save safe move to spam overuse if you don't know what's going to come in, it also allows you to keep up the offensive pressure. Superpower allows Landorus-T to hit Ferrothron, and guarantees a OHKO on full health Extreme Killer Arceus form after Rocks Stealth Rock (and any other Arceus which is hit for super effective damage by Superpower). Explosion is the hit-all nuke button, being incredibly powerful, OTK'ing OHKOing Full Health Arceus at full health formes 62% of the time and OHKOing Gliscor switch-ins. However,[add] be very cautious of using this move as you lose Landorus-T after using it, and be very vary of the Pokemon which remain on your opponents team;[add] especially Steel-, Ghost-, and Rock-types especially. Knock Off is another really good move which allows you Landorus-T to cripple some of the common switch-ins to Landorus-T by removing their item, but becomes significantly weaker afterwards.

Set Details
========

The EV Spread maximizes Attack and bulk, while at the same time ensuring that you Landorus-T will never be OHKOed by a +1 Extreme Killer Arceus's Life Orb-boosted Extreme Speed holding Life Orb after taking Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Given the nature of the moves of Landorus-T, be extremely careful of choosing which move you lock yourself Landorus-T into, as two of the moves have an immunity against them, so be very cautious about which move you choose as you want to minimize the amount of free turns you give your opponent. So tread cautiously, and look at your opponents team before choosing your move. However, don't use this as an Extreme Killer Arceus check, as if Landorus-T is even a bit weakened, Extreme Killer can rip right through this, leaving you in a bad spot. In other words, don't use this Landorus-T by itself as your teams sole check to Extreme Killer Arceus. Also keep a close eye on its health through out the match if you still intend to use this to take on physical attackers.

Team Options
========

Like all other Landorus-T sets, a teammate who can remove physically defensive walls is really appreciated. Kyurem-W,[remove] and Yveltal can help remove some of the defensive switch-ins to Landorus-T. Darkrai is also not a bad option, as it can deal damage to physical walls, while also providing geenral general team support with Sleep Dark Void and Taunt. As always, a cleric is really useful, as if this Landorus-T is burnt, it is essentially ruined. As with the Double Dance set, since Since this set doesn't carry Rocks either Stealth Rock, have use another Rocks user with dissimilar weaknesses as Landorus-T. Also, since you will be locked into a move that will give your opponent free moves turns a lot of the times, it is pivotal for your team to have a good backbone and defensive switch-ins. See Team Options for the Defensive Set above. [Add examples here instead]

Other Options
########

A Choice Scarf set is possible, as its 91 Base Speed allows it Landorus-T to outspeed the main base 90 Speed Choice Scarf users Scarfers inhibiting the tier, like Zekrom and Kyogre, but since Landorus-T's main STAB has a lot of immunities, it is not the best choice as a Scarfer Choice Scarf users. Knock Off can be used on sets other than the Choice Band set, and is a nice move to remove the opposing Pokemon's item, but Landorus-T's other moves offer far more general utility. Gravity is another move which Landorus-T can run, as it now allows Landorus-T to hit all those Pokemon who previously were immune to its Earthquake STAB, such as Bronzong, Gliscor, and Giratina-O and such. One final move to be considered on Landorus-T is Substitute. Since Landorus-T tends to cause a lot of switches, it can easily set up a Substitute and act accordingly from there.

Checks & Counters
########
**Support Arceus**: Arceus-Grass and Arceus-Water especially, can usually come in on most attacks Landorus-T carry and recover off any damage while Defogging away rocks its Stealth Rock. They can also burn Landorus-T with Will-O-Wisp; they hate Toxic,[add] however.

**Both Giratina Formes**: Giratina-O is immune to Landorus-T's stab STAB Ground-type moves and takes pittance from anything bar a SD Boosted Swords Dance-boosted Stone Edge, and can force Landorus-T out by with Dragon Tail, or threaten to burn. Specially inclined versions can OHKO with Draco Meteor. Where as Giratina-A can come in on anything Landorus-T has to offer, and can Rest away all status and Battle damage.

**Gliscor**:[space]Unlike most other physical walls who wall Lando-T Landorus-T, Gliscor doesn't even fear Toxic, and due thanks to its typing Gliscor takes near-to nothing from any attack Lando-T Landorus-T offers. Gliscor can then precede proceed to Toxic stall Landorus-T.

**Landorus-T**: Annoys Landorus-T in the same way Landorus-T does to other physical attackers. In return though, unless it caries Toxic or Hidden Power Ice,[add] it can't do much back to Landorus-T.

**Hippowdon**: Due to its massive physical bulk, it Hippowdon can come in on Landorus-T over and over again only fearing a potential Toxic.

**Bronzong**: Is immune to Landorus-T's main STAB move, resists Stone Edge, and is also immune to Toxic.

**Skarmory**: Is immune to Toxic, and like all the other walls, Landorus fails to do much, if anything at all to Skarmory, while Skarmory it can set up Rocks Stealth Rock or phaze it Landorus-T away.

**Mega-Scizor**: Physically defensive Scizor carrying Toxic can come in and poison Landorus-T, putting Landorus-T it on a timer. Scizor itself is also immune to a the potential Toxic from Landorus-T, and can avoid a 2HKO from EQ's Earthquake. Physically defensive Scizor only fears a Swords Dance-boosted Eartquake Earthquake.

**Faster Special Attacking Pokemon**: Palkia, Kyogre (if you know you do not outspeed), Mega Mewtwo Y, regular Mewtwo, or even Mega Mewtwo X carrying Ice Beam, Xerneas, and the likes. While all might not be able to directly switch in, most can easily flat out OHKO Landorus-T with super effective coverage.

**Status**: Since it has no reliable recovery, and is a physical attacker, both Toxic and burn are real nuisances for it.

Ok, so there's a lot of things to work on here. You need to learn what words to capitalize or not. You also need to learn to use the correct word, for example, Stealth Rock instead of rocks, Choice Scarf users instead of Scarfers, etc. The Grammar Standards thread is a great help, so take a look at that.

For the next checker or whatever, idk which one of Arceus-[type] and [type] Arceus should be used, so change accordingly.

[Type] Arceus is the correct format, please change this so whoever does the second GP check doesn't have to do it for you.

Overview
########

Sporting a large base 145 Attack and great physical bulk bolstered furthered by its ability, Intimidate, Landorus-T is back and ready to terrorize what it can in the treacherous XY Ubers metagame. Its excellent typing gives teams it's on an invaluable immunity to Ground- and Electric-type attacks. Its great typing also gives it an immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web, one of the biggest reasons to use it over the other Ground-types inhabiting the tier. Furthermore, being blessed with great offensive and supportive moves, Landorus-T is capable of running a few different viable sets. However, it is quite frail on the special side and pretty slow, meaning most special attackers in the tier can either force it out or flat out OHKO it. Also, having no access to reliable recovery means that its longevity is greatly compromised. Regardless, use Landorus-T to its strengths and it won't disappoint.

Physically Defensive
########
name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-turn
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
nature: Impish

Moves
========

Earthquake is a standard STAB move for Landorus-T, and it hits relatively hard even without investment due to Landorus-T's high Attack stat. Stealth Rock is a mandatory support move for all teams and Landorus-T is one of the better users of the move, finding many chances to set the hazard up due to its physical bulk. Stone Edge is there to hit what Earthquake cannot, so that Pokemon with Levitate or the Flying typing don't completely wall this set. However, if Stone Edge isn't doing super effective damage, it won't be hitting very hard to the lack of STAB and Attack investment. Toxic is an excellent move for Landorus-T, allowing it to put pressure on Pokemon that otherwise like to switch in on it, such as Hippowdon, Groudon, Lugia, support Arceus formes, and opposing Landorus-T. Toxic also prevents support Arceus formes from being able to stay in and constantly Defog away your entry hazards, and in general prevents walls from staying in and recovering their health. U-turn is another great option to consider as the move provides your team with momentum and is useful considering all the switches Landorus-T tends to cause, meaning that it can U-turn out into an appropriate counter or check.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is pretty straightforward, with maxed out HP and Defense so that Landorus-T can do what it does best, which is check many physical attackers. As Landorus-T has no other form of recovery, Leftovers is a must if you are using it as a defensive pivot. The remaining 4 EVs can go into Attack to make its offensive moves hit a bit harder.

Usage Tips
========

The best way to capitalize on this set's bulk is to bring Landorus-T in on physical attackers or walls that can't do much to it, allowing it to set up Stealth Rock, attack, or U-turn out. Landorus-T is especially good for teams that have trouble with prominent physical attackers, but be wary of those that are capable of running mixed sets. Some examples of mixed attackers include Swords Dance Ground Arceus and Mega Mewtwo X carrying Ice Beam, and Life Orb Zekrom, all of which do a lot to if not flat out OHKO Landorus-T. Despite being physically defensive, Landorus-T cannot beat a full health Extreme Killer Arceus, as Landorus-T cannot phaze it out. Furthermore, due to its good bulk, Extreme Killer can set up again. It is recommended to have another Pokemon present on your team that can deal with Extreme Killer Arceus, such as support Arceus with Will-O-Wisp, physically defensive Yveltal and Ho-Oh, or Lugia (which can also tank special attacks).

Team Options
========

Since Landorus-T won't be tanking many special attacks, a Pokemon such as Blissey or Grass Arceus that can switch into special attackers is highly recommended. A cleric is also very useful as Landorus-T doesn't have any way to heal itself. Having a Fairy-type cleric such as Sylveon or Xerneas gives your team immunities to Zekrom's STAB moves. Specially defensive Kyogre makes a great partner, as it can tank most special attacks and status ailments aimed at Landorus-T, and can phaze as well. Water Arceus resists Ice- and Water-type attacks and has good type synergy with Landorus-T in terms of Electric-type moves. Palkia is also a good partner, as it can take Water-type attacks aimed at Landorus-T and can beat the physical walls that Landorus-T has trouble with.

Offensive Earth Plate
########
name: Offensive Earth Plate
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-turn
item: Earth Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant / Jolly

Moves
========

Stealth Rock is a standard support move for the team. Earthquake hits incredibly hard with full Attack investment and Earth Plate when compared to more defensive Landorus-T variants. Stone Edge is there to hit Pokemon that Earthquake cannot. Even given the offensive nature of this set, there are some Pokemon that it cannot break through, and that is where Toxic comes in. Toxic puts pressure on a lot of them, as the move rapidly reduces its target's health. U-turn is also a great option that allows Landorus-T to keep momentum on offensive teams, which this set should be used on.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is straightforward: full investment in Attack and Speed allows Landorus-T to hit hard and fast. Earth Plate is preferred on this set to boost the power of Earthquake and avoid the nasty recoil of Life Orb. An Adamant nature is preferred since it gives Landorus-T just a bit more power, whereas a Jolly nature can be used as it guarantees that Landorus-T will outspeed all unboosted base 90s, such as Kyogre, Zekrom, Dialga, and Ho-Oh. Most of these threats run an Adamant or Modest nature, but if they do run a Speed-boosting nature, they will outspeed Adamant Landorus-T.

Usage Tips
========

This Landorus-T set should be played more offensively than the others, so don't be afraid to attack or scout with U-turn if the situation allows for it. This set is capable of putting pressure on Mega Scizor as a Defog user, as it does approximately 50% to max HP variants. Know its limits though, as it will fail to break through Defog users such as Giratina, Giratina-O, and support Arceus formes without using Toxic. Even then, be aware that they can put pressure on Landorus-T before it can do the same to them. This Landorus-T hates burns more than anything, so if it is faced with a Pokemon that it cannot outspeed and OHKO, and is likely to burn it, switch out. It is also important to keep in mind that this variant of Landorus-T does not have nearly the same amount of bulk as the other sets, so be wary of mindlessly switching it into physical attackers.

Team Options
========

Given the offensive nature of this set, it is best suited on offensive oriented teams. Since this set has a lot of trouble with physical walls, Pokemon that can take them out are recommended. Mega Gengar and, albeit more niche, Gothitelle can come in on support Arceus formes and beat them, making Landorus-T's job significantly easier. Furthermore, Palkia and Xerneas make great partners as they can beat both Giratina formes and physical walls in general. Since this Landorus-T hates status, a one-time status absorber is nice to have as well, examples being Xerneas, Ho-Oh, and even some Sleep Talk users. A Pokemon such as Sylveon, Bronzong, Blissey, Aegislash, or Arceus that can switch into special attacks aimed at Landorus-T is good to have as well.

Setup Sweeper
########
name: Setup Sweeper
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Rock Polish
move 4: Swords Dance / Explosion / Hidden Power Ice
item: Life Orb
evs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Earthquake is the standard STAB move and Stone Edge allows Landorus-T to hit Flying-types; in general, the two moves have great synergy together. Rock Polish is what makes this set work, boosting Landorus-T's Speed and allowing it to make use of its great Attack stat. The last move can be a bit of a toss up: Swords Dance is an excellent move that boosts Landorus-T's Attack stat even further, but may be hard to set up alongside Rock Polish. Explosion is an another amazing option, doing up to 90% to max HP Arceus formes. Furthermore, Explosion prevents a potential Rapid Spin or Defog due to there being no target for the move to hit. Hidden Power Ice should only be used if you want this set to significantly damage Gliscor and opposing Landorus-T, which otherwise wall this set.

Set Details
========

Landorus-T's Attack stat is maxed out so that it can do as much damage as it can, while the Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all base 100 Speed Choice Scarf users and below after a Rock Polish boost. The rest of the EVs are placed into HP to give Landorus-T some additional bulk. If you are using Hidden Power Ice as the final move, a Naughty nature can be used so that the move's power isn't decreased. Life Orb is the prime choice for this set as it provides a large boost to Landorus-T's attacking moves, giving it a large chance to OHKO common Uber Pokemon if Stealth Rock is up. Another item that can be considered on this set is Lum Berry. Lum Berry grants Landorus-T more setup opportunities against Pokemon that would otherwise status it. One final item that can be considered if Swords Dance is used is Leftovers. While seemingly odd, Leftovers allow even this variant of Landorus-T to act as a semi-defensive pivot and set up against opposing Landorus-T and walls lacking Toxic or Will-O-Wisp. It is important to note that the power drop that comes with using Leftovers or Lum Berry is quite significant, and Landorus-T will lose a number of OHKOs.

Usage Tips
========

This set is generally highly outclassed by Groudon, and unless you have a very specific reason for using Landorus-T (i.e., you need a Ground immunity on your team, or for some reason Groudon's Drought interferes with your team structure) always consider Groudon for this role before Landorus-T. Groudon has better overall bulk to take on priority and a slightly higher Attack stat. That being said, when using this set, it is not necessary to set up with both moves, and you should take a close look at your opponent's team before deciding on which boost to attain. Set up Rock Polish against hyper offense teams, and use Swords Dance against bulky/stall teams. However, Landorus-T will need both boosts to get past balanced teams. On another note, don't set up if an opponent's Pokemon can force out Landorus-T without taking much damage in the process, most notably Giratina-O, Gliscor, and opposing Landorus-T (unless Landorus-T carries Hidden Power Ice, in which case Gliscor an Landorus-T are significantly easier to deal with). Naturally, don't try to set up in front of a Pokemon that can flat out OHKO Landorus-T. Your best bet is to set up on a Pokemon that can't hurt Landorus-T much or on a predicted switch. This set is best used as a late-game sweeper, when all its checks and counters are gone. When you attempt to sweep with Landorus-T, ensure that Stealth Rock is up, as it turns many 2HKOs into OHKOs.

Team Options
========

Having a teammate that can remove physically defensive Pokemon is a must for Landorus-T, as it cannot sweep until they have been removed. Palkia, Mewtwo, and Kyurem-W are all excellent options that can decimate any Pokemon that walls Landorus-T. Mega Gengar can be used to trap support Arceus formes, and in general, trap any Pokemon that might stop Landorus-T's sweep. Dual screens support from the likes of Klefki or Deoxys is useful, as it allows Landorus-T to set up much easier. Wobbuffet can also help Landorus-T set up through the use of Encore and Safeguard. If you choose to run Hidden Power Ice on this set, Zekrom is an excellent partner as Landorus-T can lure common Ground-types in and attempt to knock them out, paving the way for Zekrom. Lastly, since this Landorus-T doesn't carry Stealth Rock, have another Pokemon present on your team that does, possible examples being Deoxys-S and Deoxys-A on hyper offense teams.

Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Superpower / Explosion
item: Choice Band
evs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Earthquake and Stone Edge give Landorus-T solid neutral coverage, the former being a powerful STAB move and the latter being able to smash many of the Pokemon that are immune to Ground-type moves. U-turn is an excellent scouting move that allows you to maintain offensive pressure, and is a safe move to spam if you don't know what's going to switch in. Superpower allows Landorus-T to hit Ferrothorn and guarantees an OHKO on full health Extreme Killer Arceus after Stealth Rock damage (and any other Arceus forme that is hit for super effective damage by Superpower). Explosion is an incredibly powerful nuke, OHKOing Arceus at full health 62% of the time and OHKOing Gliscor switch-ins. However, as Landorus-T is KOed in the process, be very cautious against opposing Ghost-, Steel-, and Rock-type Pokemon. Knock Off is an excellent move that allows Landorus-T to cripple some of its common switch-ins by removing their items, but the move becomes significantly weaker after the first use.

Set Details
========

The EV spread maximizes Landorus-T's Attack and bulk, while at the same time ensuring that it will never be OHKOed by a +1 Extreme Killer Arceus's Life Orb-boosted Extreme Speed after it takes damage from Stealth Rock.

Usage Tips
========

Be extremely careful when using Choice Band Landorus-T due to the drawbacks of its attacks: look at your opponent's team before choosing your move. Two of its moves have immunities, and you want to minimize the amount of free turns you give your opponent. Don't use this set as a check to Extreme Killer Arceus, as if Landorus-T is even a little bit weakened, Extreme Killer Arceus can rip right through it, leaving you in a bad spot. In other words, don't use Landorus-T as your team's sole check to Extreme Killer Arceus. Also keep a close eye on its health throughout the match if you intend to use it to take on physical attackers.

Team Options
========

A teammate such as Kyurem-W or Yveltal that can remove physically defensive walls is really appreciated. Darkrai is also a good option, as it can deal damage to physical walls and provide general team support with Dark Void and Taunt. A cleric is really useful, as if Landorus-T is burnt, it is essentially ruined. As this set does not carry Stealth Rock, have another Pokemon with the move that has weaknesses that differ from those of Landorus-T. Furthermore, as Landorus-T will often be locked into a move that will give your opponent free turns, it is pivotal for your team to have a good defensive backbone. Water Arceus and specially defensive Kyogre are good teammates as they can take many of the special attacks aimed at Landorus-T, while Landorus-T is immune to the Electric-type moves that give them trouble. Blissey and Xerneas are teammates that work well with this Landorus-T, as they offer cleric support should Landorus-T get burned and contribute to a specially defensive backbone. Having Xerneas as a cleric gives your team immunities to Zekrom's STAB moves.

Other Options
########

A Choice Scarf set is usable, as Landorus-T's base 91 Speed allows it to outspeed the base 90 Choice Scarf users in the tier, such as Zekrom and Kyogre. However, as many Pokemon are immune to its main STAB move, Landorus-T is not the best Choice Scarf user. Knock Off can be used on sets other than the Choice Band set, and is a nice move to remove the opposing Pokemon's item, but Landorus-T's other moves offer far more general utility. Gravity is another move that Landorus-T can run, as it allows Landorus-T to hit Pokemon that were previously immune to Earthquake, such as Bronzong, Gliscor, and Giratina-O. One final move to be considered on Landorus-T is Substitute. Since Landorus-T tends to cause a lot of switches, it can easily set up a Substitute and act accordingly from there.

**Support Arceus Formes**: Grass Arceus and Water Arceus especially, can come in on most of Landorus-T's attacks and Recover off any damage while using Defog to eliminate entry hazards. They can also burn Landorus-T with Will-O-Wisp; however, they hate Toxic.

**Giratina Formes**: Giratina-O is immune to Landorus-T's Ground-type moves, takes pittance from any move bar a Swords Dance-boosted Stone Edge, and can force Landorus-T out with Dragon Tail or the threat of Will-O-Wisp. Specially inclined versions can OHKO Landorus-T with Draco Meteor. Due to its extreme bulk, Giratina can come in on any of Landorus-T's moves and Rest away all status and damage.

**Gliscor**: Unlike most physical walls that wall Landorus-T, Gliscor doesn't fear Toxic and thanks to its typing takes near nothing from any attack Landorus-T offers bar Hidden Power Ice. Gliscor can then proceed to Toxic stall Landorus-T.

**Landorus-T**: Landorus-T takes little damage from Landorus-T's attacks. However, unless it caries Toxic or Hidden Power Ice, it can't do much back.

**Hippowdon**: Due to its massive physical bulk, Hippowdon can come in on Landorus-T over and over again, only fearing a potential Toxic.

**Bronzong**: Bronzong is immune to Landorus-T's main STAB move, resists Stone Edge, and is immune to Toxic.

**Skarmory**: Skarmory is immune to Toxic and does not take much damage from any of Landorus-T's moves. In return, it can set up Stealth Rock or phaze Landorus-T away.

**Mega Scizor**: Physically defensive Scizor carrying Toxic can come in on and poison Landorus-T, putting it on a timer. Scizor is immune to Toxic and can avoid a 2HKO from Earthquake. Physically defensive Scizor only fears a Swords Dance-boosted Earthquake.

**Faster Special Attackers**: While speedy threats such as Palkia, Kyogre, Mega Mewtwo Y, Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X carrying Ice Beam, and Xerneas might not be able to switch in directly, most of them can easily OHKO Landorus-T with a super effective move.

**Status**: Since Landorus-T is a physical attacker without access to reliable recovery, both burns and Toxic are real nuisances for it.

Overview
########

Sporting a large base 145 Attack and great physical bulk bolstered furthered by its ability, Intimidate, Landorus-T is back and ready to terrorize those whoat it can in the treacherous XY Ubers metagame. Its excellent typing gives teams it's on an invaluable immunity to Ground- and Electric- type attacks. Its great typing also gives it an immunity to Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Sticky Web, one of the biggest reasons to use it over the other Ground- types inhabiting the tier. Furthermore, being blessed with great offensive and supportive moves, Landorus-T is capable of running a few different viable sets. However, all is not well for this Cool Cat, it is quite frail on the special side and is pretty slow, meaning most Sspecial Aattackers in the tier can either force it out or flat out OHKO it. Also, having no access to reliable recovery means that its longevity is greatly compromised. Regardless, use Landorus-T to its strengths and it won't disappoint.

Physically Defensive

name: Physically Defensive
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stealth Rock
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-turn
item: Leftovers
EVevs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Nnature: Impish

Moves
========

Earthquake is a standard STAB move for Landorus-T, and it still hits relatively hard, even without investment due to Landorus-T's high aAttack stat. Stealth Rock is a mandatory support move for all teams and Landorus-T is one of the better users of the move in the Ubers tier, finding many chances to set ithe hazard up due to its physical bulk. Stone Edge is there to hit what Earthquake cannot, so that Pokemon with Levitate or the Flying typing don't completely wall this set. However, if Stone Edge isn't doing super effective damage, it won't be dohitting much duevery hard to the lack of STAB and Attack investment. Toxic is an excellent move for Landorus-T, allowing it to put pressure on Pokemon that otherwise like to switch in on it, such as Hippowdon, Groudon, Lugia, support Arceus formes, and otherpposing Landorus-T. Toxic also prevents support Arceus formes from being able to stay in and constantly Defog away your Stealth Rockentry hazards, and in general prevents walls from havstaying the ability to constantlyin and recover in front of youg their health. U-turn is another great option to consider as ithe move provides your team with momentum, and is useful considering all the switches Landorus-T tends to cause, meaning that youit can U-turn out into your owan appropriate counter or check.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is pretty straight forward, with maxed out HP and Defense so that Landorus-T can do what it does best, which is check many physical attackers. SinceAs Landorus-T has no other form of recovery, Leftovers is a must if you are using it as a defensive pivot. The remaining 4 EVs can go into Attack to make its offensive moves hit a bit harder.

Usage Tips
========

The best way to capitalize on this set's bulk is to bring itLandorus-T in on physical attackers or walls whichthat can't do much to you in return, allowing Landorus-T opportune timeit to set up Stealth Rock, attack, or U-turn out. Landorus-T is especially good for those teams whichthat have trouble with prominent physical attackers, but be wary of those whothat are capable of running Mmixed Ssets. Some examples of mixed attackers could binclude Swords Dance Ground Arceus and Mega Mewtwo- X carrying Ice Beam, and Life Orb Zekrom, all of which do a lot to Landorus-T, if not flat out OHKO it. In terms of countering Extreme Killer Arceus, dLandorus-T. Despite being physically defensive it, Landorus-T cannot actually beat a full health Extreme Killer Arceus, as Landorus-T cannot phasze it out and. Furthermore, due to its good bulk, Extreme Killer can set up again. It is recommended to have another Pokemon present on your team whothat can deal with Extreme Killer Arceus, such as Ssupport Arceus with Will-O-Wisp, physically defensive Yveltal and Ho-Oh, andor Lugia (which can also tank special attacks).

Team Options
========

Since Landorus-T won't be tanking many special attacks, a Pokemon such as Blissey or Grass Arceus that can switch into special attackers is highly recommended, such as Blissey and Grass Arceus. A cleric is also very useful asince Landorus-T doesn't have any form ofway to healing itself, from either status or its HP. Having a cleric which is a Fairy -type, like cleric such as Sylveon andor Xernenas, also gives your team dual immunityies to Zekrom's STAB moves. Specially defensive Kyogre makes a great partner, as it can tank most special attacks and status ailments aimed at Landorus-T, and can phasze as well. Water Arceus also resists Ice- and Water-type attacks, and has good typinge synergy with Landorus-T in terms of Electric- type moves. Palkia is also a good partner, as it can take Water-type attacks aimed at Landorus-T while also simultand caneously being able to beat the physical walls that Landorus-T has trouble with otherwise.

Offensive Earth Plate
########
name: Offensive Earth Plate
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Earthquake
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Toxic / U-turn
item: Earth Plate
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
nature: Adamant / Jolly

Moves
========

Stealth Rock is a standard support move for the whole team. Earthquake is used to hits incredibly hard, and now hits even harder with full Attack investment and an Earth Plate, when compared to more defensive versionLandorus-T variants. Stone Edge is there to hit anythingPokemon that Earthquake cannot. Even given the offensive nature of this set, there are some Pokemon whichthat it cannot break through, and that is where Toxic comes in. Toxic allows it to puts pressure on a lot of those Pokemonem, as the move rapidly reduces its target's health. U-turn is also a great option whichthat allows itLandorus-T to keep offensive momentum on offensive teams, which this set should be used on.

Set Details
========

The EV spread is straightforward,: full investment in Attack and Speed, to let it allows Landorus-T to hit hard and fast. Earth Plate is preferred on this set to boost the power of Earthquake, without and avoid the nasty recoil of Life Orb. An Adamant nature is preferred since it gives Landorus-T just a bit more power. A, whereas a Jolly nature can be used as thait guarantees you that Landorus-T will outspeed all unboosted base 90 Speed Pokemon not using Choice Scarfs, such as Kyogre, Zekrom, Dialga, and Ho-Oh. However, mMost of these threats run an Adamant or Modest nature of their own. It is still important to keep in mind tha, but if they do run a Speed-boosting nature, they will outspeed youAdamant Landorus-T.

Usage Tips
========

Since tThis Landorus-T set aims toshould be played more offensively than the others, so don't be afraid to attack or scout with U-turn if the situation allows for it. This set is also capable of putting pressure on Mega Scizor as a Defogg user, as it does approximately 50% to max HP variants. Know its limits though, as it will fail to break through Defogg users like both formes ofsuch as Giratina, Giratina-O, and support Arceus formes without the use ofing Toxic, and e. Even then, be aware that they can put offensive pressure on youLandorus-T before youit can do the same to them. This Landorus-T really hates burns more than anything, so if it is faced with a Pokemon that youit can't bnoth outspeed and OHKO, and it is likely that it cano burn it, switch out. It is also important to keep in mind that this variant of Landorus-T does not have nearly the same amount of bulk as the other sets, so be wary of mindlessly switching it into physical attackers, as even they can break this set down.

Team Options
========

Given the offensive nature of this set, it is best suited on offensive oriented teams. Since this set has a lot of trouble with physical walls, Pokemon whichthat can take out these wallsm out are recommended. Mega Gengar and, albeit amore niche, Gothitelle can both come in on support Arceus formes and beat them, making Landorus-T's job significantly easier. Furthermore, Palkia and Xerneas make great partners as they can beat both Giratina formes, and physical walls in general. Since this Landorus-T hates status, a one -time status absorber is nice to have as well, examples being Xerneas, Ho-Oh, and potentially even some Sleep Talk users. Just like with the defensive set, somethingA Pokemon such as Sylveon, Bronzong, Blissey, Aegislash, or Arceus that can switch into special attacks aimed at Landorus-T is good to have present on the team as well. Sylveon, Bronzong, Blissey, Aegislash, and Arceus are good examples.

Setup Sweeper
########
name: Setup Sweeper
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Rock Polish
move 4: Swords Dance / Explosion / Hidden Power Ice
item: Life Orb
evs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

The moveset is fairly simple; Earthquake is the standard STAB, whil move and Stone Edge allow yous Landorus-T to hit Flying-Ttypes, and; in general, Earthquake plus Stone Edgtwo moves have form great type synergy together. Rock Polish is what makes this set work, givboosting it immenseLandorus-T's Speed whichand allowsing it to make use of its great Attack stat. The last move can be a bit of a toss up;: Swords Dance is an excellent move whichthat boosts Landorus-T's Attack stat even further, but may be hard to set up alongside Rock Polish. Explosion is an another amazing option, doing up to 90% on Mto max HP Arceus formes. Furthermore, Explosion prevents both aa potential Rapid Spin and a potentialor Defog due to there being no target for the Pokemonmove to use the move onhit. Hidden Power Ice is maishould only to be used only if you want this set to significantly damage Gliscother and opposing Landorus-T and Gliscor as, which otherwise wall this set is walled significantly by them.

Set Details
========

TheLandorus-T's Attack stat is maxed out so that it can do as much damage after either boost as fast as possibles it can, while the Speed EVs allow it to outspeed all base 100 Speed Choice Scarf users and below after a Rock Polish boost. The rest of the EVs are placed into HP to give Landorus-T some additional bulk. If you are using Hidden Power Ice as the final move, a Naughty nature can also be used so that Hidden Power Icthe move's power isn't weakendecreased. Life Orb is the prime choice for this set as it givprovides a large power boost to Landorus-T, allow's attacking moves, giving it to have a large chance to OHKO common Uber Pokemon if Stealth Rocks is up, and also boosts the power of Hidden Power Ice if you choose to use it. Another item that can be considered on this set is Lum Berry. Lum Berry allowgrants Landorus-T tomore set up opportunities against Pokemon that would otherwise just status it, thus allowing for more set up opportunities. One final item that can be considered if Swords Dance is used is Leftovers. While seemingly odd, Leftovers allows even this variant of Landorus-T to act as a semi-defensive pivot, while also allowing Landorus-T to set up against otherpposing Landorus-T and walls lacking Toxic or Will-O-Wisp. It is important to note that the power drop that comes with using Leftovers or Lum Berry is quite significant, and Landorus-T will lose a number of OHKOs.

Usage Tips
========

This set is generally highly outclassed by Groudon, and unless you have a very specific reason for using Landorus-T (i.e., you need a Ground immunity on your team, or for some reason Groudon's Drought interferes with your team structure) always consider Groudon for this role before Landorus-T. Groudon has better overall bulk to take on priority, and a slightly higher Attack stat as well. That being said, when using this set, it is not necessary to set up with both moves, and you should take a close look at your opponent's team before deciding on which boost to useattain. Set up Rock Polish against Heavy Ohyper offensive teams, and use Swords Dance against bulky/stall teams. However, youLandorus-T will need both boosts to get past balanced teams. On another note, don't try setting up if there is a Pokemon on your opponent's team thatPokemon can force out Landorus-T without taking much damage themselves in the process, most notably Giratina-O, Gliscor, and otherpposing Landorus-T (unless Landorus-T carries Hidden Power Ice, in which case Gliscor an Landorus-T are significantly easier to deal with). Naturally, don't try to set up in front of somethinga Pokemon that can flat out OHKO Landorus-T. Your best bet is to set up on a Pokemon that can't hurt Landorus-T much, or something you know your opponent willon a predicted switch out. This set is best used as a late-game sweeper, when all its checks and counters are gone. When you attempt yourto sweep with Landorus-T, ensure that Stealth Rock is up, as it turns many 2HKOs into OHKOs.

Team Options
========

As with all other Landorus-T sets, having somethingHaving a teammate that can remove physically defensive Pokemon is a must. F for this set especially,Landorus-T, as it cannot sweep untiless they have been removed. Palkia, Mewtwo, and Kyurem-W are all excellent options, and that can decimate anything Pokemon that walls Landorus-T. Mega Gengar can be used to trap support Arceus formes, and in general, trap anything Pokemon that might be able to stop Landorus-T's sweep. Dual screens support from the likes of Klefki or Deoxys is useful, as it allows Landorus-T to set up much easier, with Klefki and Deoxys being two usable dual screens user which can pair up with Landorus-T. Wobbuffet can also help Landorus-T set up through the use of Encore and Safeguard. If you choose to run Hidden Power Ice on this set, Zekrom is an excellent partner as Landorus-T can lure common Ground -types in and attempt to knock them out, paving the way for a Zekrom rampage. Lastly, since this Landorus-T doesn't carry Stealth Rock, have another Pokemon present on your team whichthat does, a possible examples being Deoxys-S and Deoxys-A on hyper offensive teams.

Choice Band
########
name: Choice Band
move 1: Earthquake
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: U-turn
move 4: Superpower / Explosion
item: Choice Band
evs: 200 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def
Nnature: Adamant

Moves
========

As with other movesets, Earthquake and Stone Edge give Landorus-T solid neutral coverage, the EdgeQuake comboformer being a powerful STAB move and the latter being able to smash many of the Pokemon that are immune to Ground-type moves. U-turn is an excellent scouting move that allows you to maintain offensive pressure, and is a safe move to overusespam if you don't know what's going to come in, it also allows you to keep up the offensive pressureswitch in. Superpower allows Landorus-T to hit Ferrothrorn, and guarantees an OHKO on full health Extreme Killer Arceus after Stealth Rock damage (and any other Arceus whichforme that is hit for super effective damage by Superpower). Explosion is the hit-all nuke button, being incredibly powerful nuke, OHKOing Arceus at full health 62% of the time and OHKOing Gliscor switch- ins. However, be very cautious of using this move as you lose Landorus-T after using it, andis KOed in the process, be very vary of the Pokemon which remcautious again on yourst opponents team; especiallysing Ghost-, Steel-, Ghost-, and Rock- types Pokemon. Knock Off is another really good excellent move whichthat allows Landorus-T to cripple some of theits common switch-ins to Landorus-T by removing their items, but the move becomes significantly weaker afterwards the first use.

Set Details
========

The EV Sspread maximizes Landorus-T's Attack and bulk, while at the same time ensuring that Landorus-Tit will never be OHKOed by a +1 Extreme Killer Arceus's Life Orb-boosted Extreme Speed after it takinges damage from Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

Given the nature of the moves ofBe extremely careful when using Choice Band Landorus-T, be extremely careful due to the drawbacks of choosing which moveits attacks: look at you lock Landorus-T into, as tr opponent's team before choosing your move. Two of theits moves have an immunity against them, soies, and you want to minimize the amount of free turns you give your opponent. Tread cautiously, and look aDon't your opponents team before choosing your move. However, don't uthis se this as an check to Extreme Killer Arceus check, as if Landorus-T is even a little bit weakened, Extreme Killer Arceus can rip right through thisit, leaving you in a bad spot. In other words, don't use this Landorus-T by itself as your team's sole check to Extreme Killer Arceus. Also keep a close eye on its health through out the match if you still intend to use thisit to take on physical attackers.

Team Options
========

Like all other Landorus-T sets, a teammA teammate such as Kyurem-W or Yveltal thate who can remove physically defensive walls is really appreciated. Kyurem-W and Yveltal can help remove some of the defensive switch-ins to Landorus-T. Darkrai is also not a bagood option, as it can deal damage to physical walls, while alsond providinge general team support with Dark Void and Taunt. As always, a cleric is really useful, as if Landorus-T is burnt, it is essentially ruined. SinceAs this set doesn' not carry Stealth Rocks, have another Pokemon with dissimilarthe move that has weaknesses that differ from those of Landorus-T. Also, since youFurthermore, as Landorus-T will often be locked into a move that will give your opponent free turns a lot of the times, it is pivotal for your team to have a good backbone and defensive switch-insbackbone. Water Arceus and specially defensive Kyogre are good teammates, as they can take on many of the special attacks aimed at Landorus-T, while Landorus-T is immune to the Electric- type moves that give those two Pokemon trouble. Blissey and Xerneas are also teammates that can work well with this Landorus-T, as they can offer both cleric support should Landrorus-T get burnt, whiled also providingnd contribute to a specially defensive backbone. Having Xerneas as youra cleric also gives you dualr team immunityies to Zekrom's STAB moves.

Other Options
########

A Choice Scarf set is possiusable, as its 91 BLandorus-T's base 91 Speed allows Landorus-Tit to outspeed the main base 90 Choice Scarf users in the tier, likesuch as Zekrom and Kyogre. However, but since Landorus-T'as many Pokemon are immune to its main STAB has a lot of immunities, itmove, Landorus-T is not the best choice as a Choice Scarf user. Knock Off can be used on sets other than the Choice Band set, and is a nice move to remove the opposing Pokemon's item, but Landorus-T's other moves offer far more general utility. Gravity is another move whichthat Landorus-T can run, as it now allows Landorus-T to hit all those Pokemon that whoere previously were immune to its Earthquake , such as Bronzong, Gliscor, and Giratina-O. One final move to be considered on Landorus-T is Substitute. Since Landorus-T tends to cause a lot of switches, it can easily set up a Substitute and act accordingly from there.

Checks & Counters
########

**Support Arceus Formes**: Grass Arceus and Water Arceus especially, can usually come in on most attacksof Landorus-T carry's attacks and rRecover off any damage while using Defogging away its Stealth Rockto eliminate entry hazards. They can also burn Landorus-T with Will-O-Wisp; however, they hate Toxic, however.

**Both Giratina Formes**: Giratina-O is immune to Landorus-T's Ground-type moves and, takes pittance from anything move bar a Swords Dance-boosted Stone Edge, and can force Landorus-T out with Dragon Tail, or the threaten to burn of Will-O-Wisp. Specially inclined versions can OHKO Landorus-T with Draco Meteor. Where asDue to its extreme bulk, Giratina-A can come in on anything of Landorus-T has to offer due to extreme bulk,'s moves and can Rest away all status and damage.

**Gliscor**: Unlike most other physical walls whothat wall Landorus-T, Gliscor doesn't even fear Toxic, and thanks to its typing takes near nothing from any attack Landorus-T offers bar Hidden Power Ice. Gliscor can then proceed to Toxic stall Landorus-T.

**Landorus-T**: Annoys Landorus-T in the stakes little damage wayfrom Landorus-T does to other physical's attackers. In return thoughHowever, unless it caries Toxic or Hidden Power Ice, it can't do much back to Landorus-T.

**Hippowdon**: Due to its massive physical bulk, Hipppowdon can come in on Landorus-T over and over again, only fearing a potential Toxic.

**Bronzong**: IBronzong is immune to Landorus-T's main STAB move, resists Stone Edge, and is also immune to Toxic.

**Skarmory**: ISkarmory is immune to Toxic, and like all the other walls,does not take much damage from any of Landorus fails to do much, if anything at all to Skarmory, while-T's moves. In return, it can set up Stealth Rock or phaze Landorus-T away.

**Mega- Scizor**: Physically defensive Scizor carrying Toxic can come in on and poison Landorus-T, putting it on a timer. Scizor itself is also immune to the potential Toxic from Landorus-T, and can avoid a 2HKO from Earthquake. Physically defensive Scizor only fears a Swords Dance-boosted Earthquake.

**Faster Special Attacking Pokemonrs**: While speedy threats such as Palkia, Kyogre, Mega Mewtwo Y, regular Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X carrying Ice Beam, Xerneas, and the likes. While allXerneas might not be able to directly switch in directly, most of them can easily flat out OHKO Landorus-T with a super effective cmoverage.

**Status**: Since it has no reliable recovery, andLandorus-T is a physical attacker, both Toxic and without access to reliable recovery, both burns and Toxic are real nuisances for it.
