The EVs allow Groudon to live two Urshifu-R Mystic Water boosted Surging Strikes in Sun and be able to KO back with +2 as well as surviving a Wood Hammer from Rillaboom and the Ogerpon formes and +1 Zamazenta Body Press. The Attack investment allows Heat Crash to OHKO Amoonguss, Flutter Mane, and Tornadus with sun up, as well as almost always OHKO Miraidon with Precipice Blades. Some counters to Groudon can be Kyogre or Terapagos, which can remove Groudon's weather. Lunala is another bad matchup for Groudon as it can easily take a boosted Precipice Blades while outspeeding in Trick Room. Calyrex-I, also threatens to OHKO Groudon if it doesn't Terastallize, causing Groudon to be very careful. Some good non-restricted counters such as Pelipper or Landorus can work because of their immunity to Precipice Blades and Pelipper removing the Sun from Groudon, significantly weakening its Heat Crash. Some good teammates for Groudon are Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, and Walking Wake, because of the Protosynthesis ability allowing them to get faster or stronger, and Groudon setting sun allows for these abilities to be activated. Pokemon like Raging Bolt help Groudon to deal with Kyogre and Pelipper, and Flutter Mane dealing with the Ogerpon formes as well. Other good teammates for Groudon are Incineroar, which provides Fake Out and Intimidate, Amoonguss which provides Spore and Rage Powder support and Rillaboom, another Fake Out user, which also provides Grassy Terrain recovery so Groudon can stay longer on the field and set up with Swords Dance. Amoonguss also helps in the Trick Room matchup against Calyrex-I.

Groudon's usage of the Clear Amulet is mainly to block Incineroar's Intimidate and Parting Shot, however giving good qualities in not dropping Speed due to Icy wind or Bleakwind Storm from Tornadus. The Speed allows Groudon to outspeed -1 Ogerpon and outspeed Calyrex-S in Tailwind. The Defense EVS allow Groudon to live 2 Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Mystic Water boosted Surging Strikes in Sun and be able to KO back at +2 as well as surviving a Wood Hammer from Rillaboom and Ogerpon-Cornerstone and get 3HKO'd by Ivy Cudgel from Ogerpon-W and getting 3HKO'd from a +1 Zamazenta Body Press. The Defense EVs allow for Groudon to survive a Glacial Lance from Calyrex-Ice. (A lot of calcs here, eat Glacial with way too much to spare so no need to mention.) The Attack allows for Heat Crash to OHKO Amoonguss, Flutter Mane, and Tornadus with sun up, as well as almost always OHKO Miraidon with Precipice Blades. The SpDef Special Defense EVs allow for Groudon to survive a Choice Specs Tera Fairy Flutter Mane Moonblast, a Mystic Water boosted Kyogre Water Spout and a +1 Spell Tag Calyrex-S Astral Barrage. (You eat it with lots to spare again, and how relevant is it when Tornadus is guaranteed to be on their team.)

Some good teammates for Groudon are Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, and Walking Wake, the reason that these Pokémon are good with Groudon is because of the Protosynthesis ability allowing them to boost a stat under Sun get faster or stronger, (Don't want it to be worded as information that can be found on the Strategy Dex.) and Groudon setting sun allows for these abilities to be activated. Another good teammate for Groudon can be Amoonguss, Incineroar, or Mienshao (This isn't common, only showed up on a 5-4 team with Gravity Farigiraf and Grassy Seed Rillaboom.), these Pokémon are good with Groudon as they allow Groudon to set up a Swords Dance, through Intimidate or Fake out support, or Rage Powdering or Sporing opponents who may deal damage with Amoonguss also helping the Trick Room matchup against Calyrex-Ice. Some counters to Groudon can be Kyogre or Rayquaza, by removing Groudon's weather or Lunala and Calyrex-Ice as well because Groudon cannot do much damage to Lunala and Calyrex-Ice after Terastilization, and with Trick Room up, allowing for 2HKOs or even OHKOs. Some good non-restricted counters such as Pelipper or Landorus-I can work because of their Immunity to Ground and Pelliper removing the Sun from Groudon, significantly weakening it's Heat Crash. (Look into moving this up, and then using the opportunity to better highlight partners like Flutter Mane and Amoonguss.)

Probably a GP thing though. Precipice Blades for a STAB spread move and with it's Ground type giving it an Immunity to Miraidon's Electro Drift and giving it a Super Effective STAB move into some of the top restricted Pokèmon such as Miraidon, Zacian, and Zamazenta, even dealing great damage to neutral targets such as Urshifu-R not really necessary to mention, if you want to elaborate mention how it hits mons like incin. Groudon uses Swords Dance to be able to OHKO opponents such as ? calcs where Groudon can also utilize Thunder Punch to hit Pokèmon like rain setters like Tornadus, Pelipper, and Kyogre. However Groudon's Helping Hand allows it to further boost teammates that benefit off of Groudon's used to help boost partners who benefit off of Groudon's ability to set sun, such as Flutter Mane or Rillaboom Raging Bolt how does rilla benefit from sun that much?. Groudon's usage of the Clear Amulet is mainly to block Incineroar's Intimidate and Parting Shot, however also giving good qualities in not dropping Speed due to Icy wind or Bleakwind Storm from Tornadus For groudon, this isn't really a huge thing as it's already rather slow. Lunala hurts groudon due to wide guard and Caly I threatens glacial lance for massive damage.. Some good non-restricted counters such as Pelipper or Landorus-I can work because of their Immunity to Ground Precipice Blades and Pelliper Pelipper removing the Sun from Groudon, significantly weakening its Heat Crash. Flutter Mane is an amazing partner for groudon, it's power is amazing with groudon boosting it's speed on specs sets and the fairy ground coverage is perfect.. Other good teammates for Groudon can be Amoonguss, Incineroar, or Rillaboom these Pokémon are good with Groudon as they allow Groudon to set up a Swords Dance, through Intimidate or Fake out support, or using Sun or Rage Powdering or Sporing opponents who may deal damage to Groudon, with Amoonguss also helping the Trick Room matchup against Calyrex-Ice. Groudon's role is that of a powerful attacker using the ability, that uses (Fluff) Drought to power up Heat Crash and using Precipice Blades for a STAB spread move. Its Ground type typing gives it an immunity to Miraidon's Electric-type STAB moves and giving it a super effective STAB move into some of the top Restricted Pokemon such as Miraidon, Zacian-C, (AC) and Zamazenta-C. Groudon uses Swords Dance to set up and be able to OHKO opponents foes such as Zamazenta-C and Calyrex-I. Groudon can also utilize Thunder Punch to hit rain setters like Tornadus, Pelipper, and Kyogre. Helping Hand allows lets Groudon to further boost its teammates teammate's damage output. Groudon's ability to set sun benefits Pokemon such as Flutter Mane or and Raging Bolt. (Add Period) Groudon's usage of the uses Clear Amulet is mainly to block Incineroar's Intimidate and Parting Shot. The Speed investment allows Groudon to outspeed -1 Ogerpon and Calyrex-S in Tailwind. The Defense EVs allow let Groudon to live two Urshifu-R Mystic Water-boosted Surging Strikes in sun, (AC) and be able to KO back with +2 as well as surviving a Wood Hammer from Rillaboom and the Ogerpon formes and +1 Zamazenta-C (Consulted in Discord DMs.) Body Press. The Attack investment allows Heat Crash to OHKO Amoonguss, Flutter Mane, and Tornadus with sun up, as well as almost always OHKO Miraidon with Precipice Blades. Groudon will also be able to OHKO Urshifu-R with +2 Precipice Blades. (Consulted in Discord DMs, moved to the section referring to the Attack investment.) The Special Defense EVs allow for let Groudon to survive a Choice Specs Tera Fairy Flutter Mane Moonblast, (RC) and a +1 Spell Tag Calyrex-S Astral Barrage.

Some counters to Groudon can be include Kyogre or and Terapagos, which can remove Groudon's weather. Lunala is another bad matchup for Groudon, (AC) as it can easily take a boosted Precipice Blades while outspeeding moving before it in Trick Room. Groudon has to be very careful around Calyrex-I, also since it threatens to OHKO Groudon if it doesn't Terastallize, (RC) causing Groudon to be very careful. (Reworded sentence so that it is less awkward.) Some good non-Restricted Pokemon counters such as Pelipper or and Landorus can work because of their immunity to Precipice Blades. (AP) and Pelipper removing can additionally remove the sun from Groudon, significantly weakening its Heat Crash. Some good teammates for Groudon are Flutter Mane, Raging Bolt, and Walking Wake, (RC) because of the Protosynthesis ability allowing allows them to get faster or stronger, and Groudon setting sun allows for these abilities to be activated. Pokemon like Raging Bolt help helps Groudon to deal with Kyogre and Pelipper, and while Flutter Mane dealing deals with the Ogerpon formes as well. Other good teammates for Groudon are Incineroar, which provides Fake Out and Intimidate, Amoonguss, (AC) which provides Spore and Rage Powder support, (AC) and Rillaboom, which is another Fake Out user, (RC) which also that provides Grassy Terrain recovery so Groudon can stay longer on the field longer and set up with Swords Dance. Amoonguss also helps in the Trick Room matchup against Calyrex-I.
