Froslass @ Life Orb / Icium Z
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Ice Beam
- Shadow Ball

In such an offensive metagame, Spikes plays a large role in chipping foes and limiting their switches, and Froslass has various attributes that make it a top Spikes setter. Its high Speed makes it the fastest setter in the tier, and Taunt gives it a good matchup against other hazard setters like Qwilfish and Mesprit. Froslass's Ice / Ghost typing makes it the only hazard setter that essentially nullifies both forms of hazard removal, as it serves as a spinblocker while offensively pressuring many Defoggers like Altaria and Silvally-Dragon. It is a solid lead and anti-lead, being able to set Spikes and threaten other hazard setters. It can also be brought in as a revenge killer or into predicted attacks, though it has to watch out for super effective coverage. Offensive Pokemon greatly appreciate Froslass's Spikes, including setup sweepers like Omastar and Lilligant and wallbreakers like Stoutland and Alolan Exeggutor. Froslass also works well on Spikes-stacking teams, so other hazard setters like Aggron and Weezing benefit from its Spikes and spinblocking.

In such an offensive meta, Spikes play a large role in chipping foes and limiting their switching capabilities, and Froslass has various attributes that make it a top setter. Its high Speed makes it almost the fastest hazard setter in the tier (as to not cause confusion with people thinking "but rocks lycan is faster", just say fastest spiker), and alongside Taunt gives it a good matchup against other hazard setters like Qwilfish and Mesprit. Even with mediocre its offensive and defensive stats (doesn't make sense), Froslass' near un-resisted Ice/Ghost typing allows it to not only offensively pressure many Defoggers like Altaria and Silvally-Dragon, but also serve as a spinblocker (put more emphasis that it's the only hazard setter to essentially null both forms of removal, making hazard wars easier for the user). It serves as a solid lead (and anti-lead, being able to threaten both mesprit and qwilfish greatly), but should often be kept alive to maintain the Spikes and other hazards throughout the match. Offensive teams appreciate Froslass' Spikes greatly, including setup sweepers like Omastar and Lilligant and wallbreakers like Stoutland and Alolan Exeggutor. Froslass also works well on Spike-stacking teams, so other setters like Aggron, Weezing, and Mudsdale (i personally wouldn't use this set with mudsdale) benefit from its Spikes and spinblocking capabilities.

just because it's the life orb/z move set, i'd make mention that it's a semi decent revenge killer too
Looks ok. QC 1/1. Gjob.

This was a decent amount over the character limit (this was ~1250, supposed to be ~1000-1100), so things needed to be trimmed down. This was written relatively well so I couldn't trim this down enough on a strictly word usage basis, so I had to cut out some info (QC-related things). I tried to cut out the least important info based on the paragraph. Hopefully this is ok.
