Trapinch with Mind Plate:

Trapinch @ Mind Plate
Ability: Arena Trap
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Super Power
- Toxic/Rock Slide

One of Trapinch's major weaknesses is its lower ability to survive a turn with its 45/45/45 bulk and 10 Spe that almost everything can outspeed. Now, with the aid of the Mind Plate, Trapinch now can only be "outspeed" (for five turns at least) by Munchlax and Shuckle, and it only tied with Bonsly and Ferroseed. Trapinch utilizes Arena Trap to Revenge almost any offensive Pokemon in the Meta and is able to clean up some walls that had been withered down before. Earthquake is an obvious choice of a move as it grants you STAB. Crunch can be used as coverage against Psychic types, especially if they resist Ground. Superpower is a strong Fighting move than can clean up walls that are weak to Fighting. Lastly, you can choose between using Toxic or Rock Slide. Toxic is not as good as Perish song with Trapping, but it is the best Trapinch can do. With Rock Slide, you will be able to threaten Flying types or hit them unsuspectingly.

Since you'll be switching in and out a lot, it is wise to pack a very Slow Friend that can take hits, especially priority based hits. You'll also want hazards on your team because Trapinch needs some help with damage. Trapinch can be an ideal partner for Pokemon that struggle against Steel, Poison, Electric, ect. and for teams that find it hard dealing with Sweepers as Trapinch now is one of the best Revenge Killers in the entire Meta.

Hey! I'm really glad to see you excited and interested in the subforum, but bumping fairly old threads just with something casual isn't really the best course to get activity going in them. For the future, you should hit up the operator of the metagame and maybe try and collaborate with them to get the thread back to activity, if you'd like.
