[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to its sky-high HP alongside its good Special Defense, Chansey is able to check even the strongest of special attackers like Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and Calm Mind Arceus formes. It also has access to great support moves such as Heal Bell, Toxic, and Wish, as well as an absolutely stunning ability in Natural Cure, making Chansey a great addition to stall teams, as it can act as a status absorber and a pivot. Eviolite gives Chansey a great boost in Special Defense and Defense that allows it to absorb even a few physical hits, unlike its evolution Blissey. Being bulkier both physically and specially makes Chansey more flexible than Blissey when it comes to absorbing attacks such as Precipice Blades from support Primal Groudon, Heavy Slam from Celesteela, and other weak physical attacks. However, Chansey is stuck with holding an Eviolite and thus cannot carry a Shed Shell, which makes it quite susceptible to trappers such as Gothitelle, Mega Gengar, and Dugtrio. Chansey is very passive especially when considering that it usually does not run any attacking moves and will often become setup fodder for physical threats if not played cautiously. Despite the boost from Eviolite, Chansey is unable to take hits from dedicated physical threats such as Mega Salamence, Primal Groudon, Mega Lucario, and Swords Dance Arceus formes.

Wish allows Chansey to restore the health of teammates like Primal Groudon and Alolan Muk, which Chansey can do effectively thanks to its high base HP stat. Seismic Toss can be run over Wish in order to deal consistent damage to Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Celesteela that Chansey cannot touch otherwise. Toxic makes up for Chansey's passiveness, letting Chansey cripple threats such as support Arceus formes, support Primal Groudon, Geomancy Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and Calm Mind Arceus formes like Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy. Heal Bell allows Chansey to take up the role of not only a status absorber but also a cleric to cure any status conditions of its teammates. Soft-Boiled is absolutely necessary, as it provides the mandatory form of reliable recovery. It also helps in taking care of the Pokemon Chansey checks by stalling them out after they are crippled with Toxic. Confide can be run, as it allows Chansey to function as a check to Rest Geomancy Xerneas, Calm Mind Primal Kyogre, and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes, which are all major threats to defensive teams. Stealth Rock over Heal Bell is an option if the team is in need of an entry hazard setter but cannot seem to find enough space. However, this prevents Chansey from providing cleric support, so an alternative may be required.

Set Details
========

Since Chansey already has a very high HP stat, it's more efficient to invest EVs in Defense so that it can take some physical hits such as uninvested Precipice Blades from Primal Groudon if need be. A Bold nature allows Chansey to take physical hits better and increases its overall bulk. However, a Calm nature may be run over Bold if Chansey wants to take special hits better from Xerneas and Primal Kyogre. Natural Cure cures any status condition inflicted on Chansey by simply switching out.

Usage Tips
========

Switch Chansey into special threats such as Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and support or Calm Mind Arceus formes, as it can absorb any special attack they are capable of using. Chansey should use Toxic on threats like support Primal Groudon and support Arceus formes to spread status across the opposing team, gradually weakening them. Chansey can stall support Primal Groudon if it's already badly poisoned but should switch out otherwise, since Chansey is 2HKOed by Precipice Blades after taking Stealth Rock damage. Soft-Boiled should be used freely to keep Chansey's health as high as possible so that it can easily switch into special attackers. Switch in Chansey on predicted status moves such as Thunder Wave and Toxic, as Natural Cure allows it to absorb these. Try to conserve PP when it comes to curing teammates with Heal Bell, as it has only 8 PP. It is best to remove Shadow Tag users such as Mega Gengar and Gothitelle with the help of Pursuit trappers before sending out Chansey, as it is basically a dead Pokemon once trapped by either of the two.

Team Options
========

Chansey is primarily used on most semi-stall and stall teams. These kind of teams are usually very susceptible to trapping, making Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar and Alolan Muk really good members, as they can switch into opposing Mega Gengar and KO it. Alolan Muk can not only Pursuit trap Shadow Tag users but also use Knock Off to remove Leftovers from Steel-types like Celesteela and Ferrothorn that Chansey cannot touch. Alolan Muk is an excellent partner especially when Chansey is using Wish to keep it healthy, letting the two check threats such as Z-Geomancy Xerneas and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes. Tyranitar can act as a Pursuit trapper and a check to massive threats like Mega Salamence, Yveltal, and Ho-Oh while also providing Stealth Rock support. Primal Groudon appreciates Wish support from Chansey, allowing it to heal up while also being able to switch into other threats of Primal Groudon like Giratina-O and support Arceus formes. In exchange, Primal Groudon is able to provide Stealth Rock support, check annoying Steel-types, and check Z-Geomancy Xerneas provided it does not run Ingrain. Mega Sableye can switch into Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor that Chansey cannot touch. Magic Bounce allows it to shut down Celesteela and Ferrothorn, while Will-O-Wisp lets it cripple Mega Scizor. Toxapex is also a great teammate for Chansey thanks to its ability to check Mega Lucario and Marshadow, some of the biggest threats to Chansey. Toxapex can also check setup sweepers like Geomancy Xerneas and Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy thanks to Haze and is able to provide entry hazard support with Toxic Spikes. Toxapex can also be used to pivot around Primal Kyogre, which can be checked either of the two depending on the set it is running. Defog users are important members of any stall team, making Pokemon like Giratina and Arceus-Ground great partners. Both of these Pokemon are able to switch into Mega Lucario, and the former can check threats such as Mega Blaziken, mixed Primal Groudon, and Mega Mewtwo X while the latter can check Mega Salamence, Double Dance Primal Groudon, and Rayquaza; in return, Chansey can check special attackers that threaten them as well as cure status conditions with Heal Bell. Giratina-O also appreciates Wish support from Chansey, while it can check Primal Groudon as well as Steel-types like Celesteela, Mega Lucario, and Skarmory with the help of Thunder Wave + Hex. Ho-Oh makes an excellent teammate, as it is able to scare away Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Lucario, which are very annoying for bulkier teams. Ho-Oh is also able to check Mega Mewtwo Y, Yveltal, and Marshadow sets that lack Rock Tomb. Pokemon like Lugia and Zygarde that can switch into physical threats such as Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, and Mega Salamence are good teammates for Chansey, which can provide cleric support and a check to support Arceus formes in return. Defensive Xerneas is able to check Marshadow, which is usually a massive nuisance to stall teams. It can also check Mega Sableye, which can completely shut down Chansey, and appreciates Chansey's ability to wake it up after it recovers with Rest. Alternately, Xerneas can carry Aromatherapy to open up a moveslot for Chansey, allowing it to run Confide or Stealth Rock, depending on what the team needs.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Snatch can be run over Heal Bell to Toxic stall Pokemon like Rest + Geomancy Xerneas and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes, as it prevents them from using any support moves to recover from Toxic. However, this tactic is unreliable, as predictions are required, and cleric support with Heal Bell is something most teams would love to have. Furthermore, Confide is more reliable at shutting down threats and has more PP. Since Chansey can take a few physical hits, it can carry Counter to blow back physical threats like Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon after taking a hit. However, this can only work once and does not take full advantage of Chansey's walling capabilities.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Trappers**: Shadow Tag and Arena Trap users are very threatening to Chansey, as they are able to prevent it from switching. Mega Gengar can shut down Chansey with Taunt and proceed to KO with a series of Sludge Wave, while Gothitelle is able to PP stall Chansey or force it to Struggle with Taunt. Even though Dugtrio is not as popular as other trappers, it is still able to trap and KO Chansey with Screech followed by Tectonic Rage.

**Mega Sableye: Chansey usually carries no attacking move and as a result is completely shut down by Mega Sableye thanks to its ability Magic Bounce. Furthermore, Chansey's only viable attacking move is Seismic Toss, which cannot touch Mega Sableye due to its Ghost typing, thus making it the best counter to Chansey.

**Ferrothorn**: Ferrothorn is able to switch into Chansey with ease and proceed to cripple it with Leech Seed, taking advantage of Chansey's high HP stat while letting it take Seismic Toss for days. Ferrothorn can follow this up by setting Spikes, which will make it easier to break Chansey's team.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers like Mega Salamence, Marshadow, Mega Lucario, Mega Mewtwo X, Ho-Oh, Deoxys-A, and Primal Groudon can easily break through Chansey, mandating teammates to cover this weakness. Pokemon that can use Psystrike or Psyshock such as Mega Mewtwo Y and Lunala can easily 2HKO Chansey as well.

**Toxic-immune Pokemon and Rest Users**: Pokemon such as Toxapex, Skarmory, Celesteela, Bronzong and Ferrothorn are able to annoy Chansey, as they are immune to Toxic and can PP stall it out. Status absorbers such as Zygarde and Primal Kyogre can easily force Chansey into a stalemate with Rest.

**Taunt Users**: Pokemon carrying Taunt such as Yveltal, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Tyranitar can shut down Chansey, making it completely useless until it switches out and comes back onto the field at a later time. Yveltal can proceed to KO Chansey with the combination of Dark Pulse and Oblivion Wing, Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar can use it as setup fodder, and Tapu Lele and Mega Mewtwo Y can proceed to KO it with their respective Psychic-type STAB moves.

Implemented the following changes:

-Confide dropped down to move mentions. 1st Slashing as Wish / Seismic Toss. Stealth Rock moved from OO to moves which validates Xerneas as a teammate (Marsh check, can provide cleric support)
-Calm Nature slashed with Bold as it needs the bulk to beat Sub Pogre(with stoss ofc)
-Magearna removed from Team Options (didn't make much sense). Mega Sableye, Toxapex, and Ho-Oh (added Ho-Oh) have been given more priority. Primal Groudon has been added as well. Giratina-O added under Defog(likes chansey's wish)
-More detail on Alomuk being a top tier partner.
-Msab at the top of c&c, followed by ferrothorn, physical attackers, steels and toxic immunes and taunt users. mdiancie removed from c&c since stoss has been moved to moves

Mention Wish instead of Soft-Boiled in the second bullet on the intro. Wish is a true support move as it actually does things for teammates (and is often a major justification for Chansey) - only Chansey itself can ever benefit from Soft-Boiled.

The description of Confide makes it come across as though Chansey needs the move in order to check Geo Xern, CM Arc, and P Ogre. This is only true in order to have better ops vs. variants such as Sub Geo Xern, Rest Geo Xern, Refresh CM Arc, etc. Please re-word to make this distinction more clear.

Why are trappers nowhere to be seen in C&C? They're even mentioned in other sections. They should be the #1 section in C&C, and they strongly influence how Chansey teams are structured.

Implement and I will stamp.

Trapper probably got deleted or I just forgot about it x_x. Anyways, I editted that in and the rest of the changes as well.

...absorbing attacks such as Precipice Blades from support Primal Groudon, a Dragon Tail from Giratina-O
Is this an attack Chansey should ever be looking to take? Being phazed out and taking around 30% means that if hazards are up, Chansey is much more pressured when taking on whatever it needs to switch into. Think of a different attack like Celesteela's Heavy Slam or something else.

Support Primal Groudon will still 2HKO after SR so Usage Tips should note that this is only worth bothering with when Primal Groudon already has Toxic on it, and it can be recover stalled.

The rest of this is fine.

Stealth Rock over Heal Bell is an option if the team in need of an entry hazard setter but cannot seem to find enough space. However, this removes, but doing so invalidates Chansey as a cleric support of Chansey so an alernative may be required., requiring another Pokemon to take up the slack. (it seems like you are trying to combine the benefits of Wish on Primal Groudon like and the benefits of Chansey's bulk into the same sentence, and it isn't working. Think about rewording this further. side note: due to the diff app this sentence is missing some struck through text) In exchange, Primal Groudon is able to provide Stealth Rock support, (RC) and check annoying Steel-types, (RC) as well as check Z-Geomancy Xerneas incase it does not run lacking Ingrain. Primal Groudon appreciates Wish support from Chansey, (AC) allowing it to heal up while also being able to switch into other threats of Primal Groudon like Giratina-O and support Arceus formes. In exchange, Primal Groudon is able to provide Stealth Rock support, check annoying Steel-types, as well as and check Z-Geomancy Xerneas incase provided it does not run Ingrain. Mega Sableye can is able to switch into Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Celesteela, and Mega Scizor that Chansey cannot touch. Magic Bounce allows it to shut down Celesteela and Ferrothorn, (AC) while Will-O-Wisp lets it cripple Mega Scizor. Toxapex is also a great teammate for Chansey thanks to its ability to check Mega Lucario and Marshdow Marshadow, some of the biggest offenders threats to Chansey. Toxapex can also check setup sweepers like Geomancy Xerneas and Calm Mind Arceus-Fairy thanks to packing Haze while also being and is able to provide entry hazard support with Toxic Spikes. Toxapex can also be used to pivot around Primal Kyogre, (AC) which can be checked (by Toxapex or Chansey?) depending on the set it is running. Defog users are imporant members of any stall team, (AC) making Pokemon like Giratina (-O?) or and Arceus-Ground great partners. Both of these Pokemon are able to switch into Mega Lucario, (AC) while and the former can check threats such as Mega Blaziken, mixed Primal Groudon, as well as and Mega Mewtwo X while the latter can check Mega Salamence, Dual Double Dance Primal Groudon, and Rayquaza; (SC) making them great teammates for Chansey which in return, Chansey can check special attackers that threaten them as well as cure status conditions with Heal Bell. Giratina-O is also a great option as it can appreciates Wish support from Chansey, (AC) while it can check Primal Groudon (you just sorta mentioned this one though) (RC) as well as Steel-types like Celesteela, Mega Lucario and Skarmory with the help of Thunder Wave + Hex. Ho-Oh makes an excellent teammate, (AC) as it is able to scare away Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Mega Lucario, (AC) which are very annoying for bulkier teams. Ho-Oh is also able to check Mega Mewtwo Y, Yveltal, and Marshadow sets that lack Rock Tomb. Pokemon like Lugia and Zygarde that can switch into physical threats such as Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, and Mega Salamence are good teammates for Chansey, (AC) which can provide cleric support and a check to support Arceus formes in return. Defensive Xerneas is able to check Marshadow, (comma) which is usually a massive nuisance to stall teams. It can also check Mega Sableye, (AC) which can completely shut down Chansey, (comma) and It also appreciates Chansey's ability to cure status condition with Heal Bell as Xerneas can only recover wake it up after it recovers with Rest. Alternately, Xerneas can carry Aromatherapy opening to open up a move slot for Chansey, allowing it to run Confide or Stealth Rock, ultimately depending on what the team needs.

Snatch can be run over Heal Bell to Toxic stall Pokemon like Rest + Geomancy Xerneas and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes, as it prevents them from using any support moves to recover from Toxic. However, this tactic is unreliable, and cleric support with Heal Bell is something most teams would love to have. Whats Furthermore, Confide is more reliable at shutting down threats and has more PP. Since Chansey can take a few physical hits, it could carry Counter to blow back physical threats like Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon after taking a hit. However, this can only work once and does not take much advantage of Chansey's walling capabilities.

Checks and Counters

**Trappers**: Shadow Tag and Arena Trap users are very threatening to Chansey, as they are able to prevent it from switching. Mega Gengar can shut down Chansey with Taunt and proceed to KO with a series of Sludge Wave, (AC) while Gothitelle is able to PP stall Chansey or make it force it to Struggle with Taunt. Even though Dugtrio is not as popular as other trappers, it is still able to trap and KO Chansey with Screech followed by Techtonic Tectonic Rage.

**Mega Sableye**: Chansey usually carries no attacking move and as a result is completely shut down by Mega Sableye thanks to its ability Magic Bounce. Furthermore, Chansey's only viable attacking move is Seismic Toss, (AC) which cannot touch Mega Sableye due to its Ghost typing, (AC) thus making it the best counter to Chansy Chansey.

**Ferrothorn**: Ferrothorn is able to switch into Chansey with ease and proceed to cripple it with Leech Seed, (AC) and take taking advantage of Chansey's high HP stat while letting it take Seismic Toss for days. Ferrothorn can follow this up by setting Spikes, (AC) which will make it easier to break teams Chansey's team.

**Physical Attackers**: Strong physical attackers like Mega Salamence, Marshadow, Mega Lucario, Mega Mewtwo X, Ho-Oh, Deoxys-A, and Primal Groudon can easily break through Chansey, (AC) and heavily requires mandating teammates to cover this weakness. Pokemon that can use Psystrike or Psyshock such as Mega Mewtwo Y and Lunala can easily 2HKO Chansey as well.

**Toxic-immune (AH) Pokemon and Rest users**: Pokemon such as Toxapex, Skarmory, Celesteela, Bronzong and Ferrothorn are able to annoy Chansey, as they are immune to Toxic and can PP stall it out. Status absorbers such as Zygarde and Primal Kyogre can easily force Chansey into a stalemate with Rest.

**Taunt Users**: Pokemon carrying Taunt such as Yveltal, Mega Gyarados, Tapu Lele, Mega Mewtwo Y, and Mega Tyranitar can Taunt against shut down Chansey, making it completely useless until it switches out and comes back onto the field at a later time. Yveltal can proceed to KO Chansey with the combination of Dark Pulse and Oblivion Wing, Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar can use it as setup fodder, (AC) while and Tapu Lele (RC) and Mega Mewtwo Y can proceed to KO it with their respective Psychic STAB moves.

[OVERVIEW]

Thanks to Chansey's sky-high HP alongside its good Special Defense, it is able to check even the strongest of special attackers like Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and Calm Mind Arceus formes. It also has access to great support moves such as Heal Bell, Toxic, and Wish, as well as an absolutely stunning ability in Nature Cure, (AC) which make making it a great addition to stall teams, (AC) as it can act as a status absorber and a pivot to switch around with. Holding the Eviolite gives Chansey a great boost in Special Defense and Defense that allows it to absorb even a few physical hits, (AC) unlike its evolution Blissey. Being bulkier from both sides all-around / both physically and specially makes Chansey more flexible than Blissey when it comes to absorbing attacks such as Precipice Blades from support Primal Groudon, Heavy Slam from Celesteela, and weak physical attacks. However, unlike its evolution, Chansey is stuck with holding an Eviloite Eviolite and thus cannot carry a Shed Shell, (AC) which makes it quite susceptible to trappers such as Gothitelle, Mega Gengar, and Dugtrio.

Wish allows Chansey to restore the health of teammates like Primal Groudon and Alolan Muk to have their health recovered by Chansey, (comma) This is even better when Chansey's very which Chansey can do effectively thanks to its (or merge them some other way idm) high HP stat is taken into consideration. Seismic Toss could be run over Wish for dealing consistent damage to Steel-types that Chansey cannot touch. Toxic makes up for Chansey's passiveness, (AC) as it lets it cripple opposing threats such as support Arceus formes, support Primal Groudon, Geomancy Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and Calm Mind Arceus formes like Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Fairy. Heal Bell allows Chansey to take up the role of not only a status absorber but also a cleric to cure any present status conditions of any of its teammates, making this a very good utility move. Soft-Boiled is absolutely necessary, (AC) to be run on Chansey as it provides the mandatory form of reliable recovery that allows it to perform the role of a blob. It also helps in taking care of the Pokemon it checks by the means of stalling them with the move out after crippling with Toxic. Confide may can be run, (AC) as it decreases the special attack of the foe and allows Chansey to function as a check to Rest Geomancy Xerneas, Calm Mind Primal Kyogre, and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes, (AC) which are all major threats to defensive teams. Stealth Rock over Heal Bell is an option if the team in need of an entry hazard setter but cannot seem to find enough space. Since Chansey already has a very high HP stat, (AC) so it's more efficient to invest EVs on in Defense so that it can take some physical hits such as uninvested Precipice Blades from Primal Groudon if need be. A Bold nature allows Chansey to take physical hits better and increases its overall bulk. However, a Calm nature may be ran run over Bold if it Chansey wants to take special hits better from Xerneas and Primal Kyogre. Natural Cure cures any status condition inflicted on Chansey by simply switching out.

Usage Tips

Switch Chansey into special threats such as Xerneas, Primal Kyogre, and support or Calm Mind Arceus formes, (AC) as it can absorb any special attack they are capable of using. Chansey should use Toxic on threats like support Primal Groudon and support Arceus formes to spread status across the opposing team, allowing it to gradually weaken them. Chansey can stall support Primal Groudon if it's already badly poisoned but should switch out otherwise, since Chansey is 2HKOed by Precipice Blades after taking Stealth Rock damage. Soft-Boiled is to should be used freely to keep Chansey's health as high as possible so that it can easily switch into special attackers. Switch in Chansey on predicted status moves such as Thunder Wave and Toxic, (AC) as it's its ability Natural Cure allows it to absorb status conditions, thus making it a great pivot these. Try to conserve PP when it comes to curing teammates with Heal Bell, (AC) as it is has only 8. It is best to remove Shadow Tag users such as Mega Gengar and Gothitelle with the help of Pursuit trappers (RH) from the battle before sending out Chansey, (AC) as it is basically a dead Pokemon once trapped by either of the two.

Team Options

Chansey can stall support Primal Groudon if it's already badly poisoned but should switch out otherwise, since Chansey is 2HKOed by Precipice Blades after taking Stealth Rock damage. Soft-Boiled should be used freely to keep Chansey's health as high as possible so that it can easily switch into special attackers. Switch in Chansey on predicted status moves such as Thunder Wave and Toxic, as its ability (doesn't really add anything) Natural Cure allows it to absorb these. Try to conserve PP when it comes to curing teammates with Heal Bell, as it has only 8 PP. It is best to remove Shadow Tag users such as Mega Gengar and Gothitelle with the help of Pursuit trappers from the battle (doesn't add anything) before sending out Chansey, as it is basically a dead Pokemon once trapped by either of the two.

Team Options
========

Defog users are imporant important members of any stall team, making Pokemon like Giratina and Arceus-Ground great partners. Giratina-O also appreciates Wish support from Chansey, while it can check Primal Groudon as well as Steel-types like Celesteela, Mega Lucario, (ADD COMMA) and Skarmory with the help of Thunder Wave + Hex.

Other Options
=============

Snatch can be run over Heal Bell to Toxic stall Pokemon like Rest + Geomancy Xerneas and Refresh Calm Mind Arceus formes, as it prevents them from using any support moves to recover from Toxic. However, this tactic is unreliable (why?), and cleric support with Heal Bell is something most teams would love to have. Furthermore, Confide is more reliable at shutting down threats and has more PP. Since Chansey can take a few physical hits, it could can carry Counter to blow back physical threats like Ho-Oh and Primal Groudon after taking a hit. However, this can only work once and does not take much full advantage of Chansey's walling capabilities.

Checks and Counters
===================
