Gengar, Gengar everywhere.. want to use a different Ghost-Type pokemon? Something that can catch people off-guard? Try Chandelure! The fire lantern truly deserves more recognition in the OU metagame as it deals a lot of damage to most Pokémon and can also use two useful abilities to find its niche among top-tier Pokémon like Landorus-Therian, Magearna or Greninja.

Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Trick

The Choice Specs-set makes use of Chandelure's incredibly high special attack and it's strong STAB-moves with nearly perfect coverage. Energy Ball is used as a coverage-move to hit Water-types who attempt to wall the Pokemon introduced in Generation 5. With Trick you can cripple defensive Pokemon like Chansey, Toxapex or Mantine, but be aware of the fact that u also lose much power by doing so. The Ability Flash Fire allows Chandelure to come in on Mega-Charizard Y and get a second immunity in general. As another option Infiltrator is a good choice to catch Aurora Veil-teams off-guard as it goes through the screens and can deal massive damage with its STAB-moves.

Besides being a very good wallbreaker, Chandelure also struggles with some things, mainly its Weakness to Stealth Rocks, but also it's underwhelming speed combined with low bulk which is the main reason why it's not one of the shining stars in the OverUsed-Tier.

Hi. First off, make Overheat the primary slash over Fire Blast. Overheat is incredibly strong and nukes practically everything in the tier bar a few exceptions like Mantine, Chansey, and Pex. Chandy is mostly used as a hit and run hole puncher anyway, and if it's ever wanting to spam a move late-game or something, Shadow Ball is probably better anyway. You can leave Fire Blast slashed I guess but I would just mention it in the description.

Energy Ball is used as a coverage-move to hit Water-types who attempt to wall the Pokemon introduced in Generation 5.
This is kind of a lazy sentence overall. Energy Ball isn't just primarily for the bulky Water-types in the tier (most of which are 2HKOed by Shadow Ball anyway) but mainly for hitting Tyranitar on the switch, which otherwise walls Chandelure and Pursuits it. As for other targets, Gastrodon and Tapu Fini are the only ones that really stand out because others take a million from Shadow Ball. Also Gen 5?

You talk about how its two useful abilities are good for Chandelure, when Flash Fire is the only ability you should ever be using on Chandy in this meta. It's primary niche is an offensive Zard-Y answer that isn't trapped by Dugtrio, yet there is no mention of that anywhere. It can't do this without Flash Fire. Infiltrator is a gimmicky ability that's not worth using over Flash Fire, so remove all mentions of it in the overview and the description.

Outside of being strong, you don't really mention what specifically makes Chandelure useful in OU. Like I said, being one of the best offensive switch-ins to Zard-Y in the tier is very important, as well as having an insanely strong STAB combo that is basically unresisted outside of T-Tar. You need to sell that. Also mention that one of its major flaws is being complete Pursuit T-tar bait if locked into any move besides Energy Ball, and Weavile can be annoying for it as well for similar reasons (although can't take Fire moves obviously).

We're changing Chandelure because it lost an interesting chunk of its niche after the Arena Trap ban. Replacing it with Hawlucha and reassigning due to lack of activity
