Blaziken 0/3

[OVERVIEW]

* Mega Blaziken is a strong physical attacker in the Ubers Metagame
* STABs hits a large portion the metagame neutrally or super effectively.
*Speed Boost combined with a great speed tier makes Blaziken difficult to revenge kill with Choice Scarf users. Also sets it apart from Mega Lucario.
* Abysmal bulk along with a bad defensive typing means it is often difficult to set up
* Has trouble breaking through common bulkier Pokemon such as Zygarde-C and Defensive Arceus formes if Blaziken is unboosted

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
* low kick is main stab, hits the majority of the tier for 120 bp cause everything is thicc. pretty strong vs stuff like pogre yveltal and pdon.
* high jump kick is stronger than low kick but has a chance to miss and is less spammable in general due to prevalence of marshadow gengar and giratina. hits mega diancie decently hard, whereas low kick doesnt hit megs diancie
*blitz hits stuff that low kick doesnt hit such as Mega Gengar, mega sableye and xerneas hard. Also hits Magearna, Celesteela harder than Low Kick.
* edge rounds out coverage, hitting fying types such as mence, ho oh.
* sd raises mega blazikens attack to sky high levels, allowing it to clean easily.
* protect can be used to safely boost speed.
* hp ice combined with a naive nature is an option to ko rayquaza after rocks, 2hko mence, and hit giratina-o and zygarde harder than any other move.

Set Details
========
*max speed and attack so Blaziken hits as hard and fast as possible. 4 spdef evs so genesect gets attack via download.
* a jolly nature lets you outpace most relevant choice scarf users in the tier after a speed boost including xerneas lunala and yveltal. Also speed ties with timid palkia and outspeeds rayquaza without a boost
* adamant nature can be used to hit harder at the cost of not being able to outspeed the aforementioned scarf users after a single speed boost.
* naive nature if u want to use hp ice.

Usage Tips
========
* chicken is frail. don't switch it into attacks
* take advantage of voltturn and double switches to get blaziken in
* Swords Dance versus pokemon you force out such as Celesteela, Dialga, or Arceus-Dark
* If using Protect, don't let your opponent set up for free by mindlessly spamming it. Instead, use it when necessary to gain a boost.
* Be wary of powerful priority users such as Arceus or Marshadow as they can end a sweep early.

Team Options
========
* Mega Blaziken fits best on hyper offense teams that need an answer to Steel-types.
* Tapu Lele gets up psychic terrain which blocks priority for Blaziken; in return, Blaziken removes Steel-types for Tapu Lele
*Other mons that appreciate steel types being gone make good partners
* Xern beats giratina and zygod while blaze sets up on steels such as magearna
*mewtwo lures in zygarde with ice beam while also removing pex.
* yveltal gets rid of lugia and giratina.
* Hazard setters such as Excadrill, Cloyster or Primal Groudon make good partners, allowing Blaziken to pick up KOs it wouldn't otherwise.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Other Options

=============

* Knock off hits lunala and giratina while also providing utility; not worth giving up coverage vs ho-oh or mence.

* Earthquake hits Toxapex and Primal Groudon harder than Blaziken's other moves but again isn't worth giving up coverage vs flying types.

* Substitute could be used to over swords dance to get more speed boosts and ease prediction. However, in tandem with Flare Blitz recoil, Blaziken is worn down quickly.

* If another Mega is already being used, Life Orb can be used over Blazikenite.

Checks and Counters

===================

**Giratina**: Both Giratina formes resist Blaziken's STAB combination, take little from Hidden Power Ice, and can phaze Blaziken out.

**Bulky Water-types**: Toxapex and Mega Slowbro are two of the hardest counters to Blaziken, as they resist Blaziken's STAB combo and take nothing from its coverage moves. Arceus-Water can take a hit and OHKO Blaziken with Judgement; however it doesn't appreciate a boosted Low Kick.

**Bulky Ground-Type Pokemon**: Primal Groudon, Zygarde-C, and Arceus- Ground can all take any hit from Blaziken and OHKO Blaziken with their STAB Ground moves.

**Strong Priority**: Priority users such as Arceus, Deoxys-A, Yveltal, and Marshadow can revenge kill Blaziken with Extreme Speed, Sucker Punch, or Shadow Sneak if it is sufficiently weakened.

**Flying-Types**: Mega Salamence, defensive Ho-Oh, and Lugia can all easily tank Blaziken's STAB attacks and can either knock it out with Flying-type STAB or Toxic stall it. However, they all fear a potential boosted Stone Edge.

This has been listed as QC ready so I'm treating it like I would any other analysis. In its current state, this analysis would require too much work to be an accurate reflection of Blaziken. Several areas of the analysis, such as the Overview, Usage Tips, Team Options, are very vague, there are some big omissions from C&C, and the set is not standard fare for Blaziken (e.g. Jolly nature being the first slash), to name a few things.

the analysis pre write-up doesn't need to be super formal, but there is hardly any useful information in this analysis for newcomers to the tier with a basic grasp of the game. team options especially is very vague, as aurora stated. this isn't completely unsalvageable but displays a fairly ridiculous lack of effort in its current stage

yea ultimately we would need posts of similar length to the skeleton in order to get it to standards (while also explaining why we want it changed). at that point we could have just done it ourselves.
