Welcome to the STABmons edition of Another Type Restriction Tournament! This tournament format tests your ability to build teams under limited typing conditions. A type will be banned from all teams at the beginning of the tournament, and you're challenged to adapt to further bans and required stipulations at the advent of each round. Sounds simple, right? Well since this is STABmons, there's more! Let's get into the rules:

Rules:

• In addition to a type being banned each round, learning new types of moves will also be restricted! For ex.:
  • New Flying-type moves are banned.
  • New status Ground-type moves are banned.
  • New physical Grass-type moves are banned.
  • New special Dark-type moves are banned.
• The bans are not cumulative: each round the bans are reset.
• As the rounds go on, bans will impact the current STABmons metagame more (hint hint). Be prepared for anything!
• Unlike the actual tour, this tour will not require any types for battles.
• Replays are mandatory.

• New special Grass-type moves are banned. (Seed Flare begone!)

Brawl MK would it be better to just ban all Flying-type moves? The only status moves are Defog, Feather Dance, Mirror Move, Roost, and Tailwind, of which only Roost has uses. And that can be played around with Oblivion Wing aha. Maybe not, since Roost is a game changer, but just an option.

When I was trying to think of bans, I thought about ones that would impact the metagame. For example, because Roost was removed, Lando-T can no longer use it. Getting rid of physical water-types moves removes Water Shuriken and Crabhammer, etc. If other people want it to be this way, then I can change something possibly, but until then I want to follow the current format.

To be more specific, special fire-type moves previously not learned by that Pokemon. So no Blue Flare Zard Y, but V-create Zard Y is okay.

Um Fairy types are banned and you wanted to hurt Diancie by removing what, Power Gem? from it? Diancie always runs Physical anyways.
