It gets Fake Out, Parting Shot, Hypnosis, Taunt, Snarl, and Feint. Has 115 speed and Fur Coat.

Sounds like the class is back in the Classy Cat Pokemon.

stuffing your face as usual

Seems like a fun if very gimmicky 'mon. Fur Coat gives it some workable physical bulk which may help it set up Nasty Plot. It doesn't really get much in the way of viable special attacks outside of Dark Pulse/Thunderbolt/Hidden Power/Power Gem but hey, Dark/Electric is at least decent coverage and base 115 Speed is good. NP Cat will probably make for a nice meme(?) set in the lower tiers. Fake Out and Parting Shot may allow it become an okay pivot as well.

all they did stat was was just take 10 from attack and put it into sp.atk

jesus that's not much of a chance and it even lost normal typing.

So alola Persian has less bulk than furfrou (same base def but 10 less hp) just wondering how bulky it can really be. It's pretty cool that it got parting shot tho, and with its speed it can take advantage of it. Hoping regular Persian can get it too to take advantage of it with fake out in doubles.

My meme set of Fur Coat + Rest Talk, Nasty Plot, and Snarl is now a thing. At least it has that going for it.

Parting Shot could be a neat offensive option I guess with good speed for lower tiers.

I was really excited for Technician STAB Bite, but then they went and made it a special attacker. At least is it has Snarl and Swift. It's a shame that it won't have access to Persian's old tutor moves, because it could have made some use out of Water Pulse.

I was banking on that myself if I was going to use the techtician set, but for now Fur coat looks better. It can be quite tanky with little investmenst, and still be able to set up with nasty plot then use Dark pulse, thunderbolt, and Power gem for near perfect coverage. Pair it up with a Riombee to heal you and you are set

Apparently Z-move Parting Shot will heal the Pokemon you switch in to 100% health. It does mean giving up an offensive Z-move on your team but it's an interesting support option.

Are you guys purposefully ignoring how big it is that this thing gets Parting Shot, and moreover, that it can actually act like a free Healing Wish? I've always thought Parting Shot was a great move exclusive to a garbage pokemon that couldn't make use of it. With Alolan-Persian, that is no more.

Technician/Fur Coat @ Ghost Dark Z-crystal
Fake Out
Dark Pulse
Parting Shot
Filler

Really, 115 speed + Z-Parting Shot is enough to make this thing usable. A Healing Wish that not only doesn't have drawbacks but also weakens the opposing pokemon? This is godsent for offensive teams that need opening in order to get in, sweep and win. I don't know, I could see this thing carving itself a small niche in UU.

Ok I was planning on using the Z move one decidueye, but a free 100% healing with parting shot can be great. I do think Fur coat is a must on her since its mostly a special attacker and it gets only Swift and Snarl as moves to boost that, Shame it doesn't have access to ORAS move tutors since I always wanted to do one with Swift, Snarl, Shock wave, and Icy Wind.

Fur COat, Dark Z cystal(Parting Shot is a Dark move)
Parting shot
Dark Pulse
Nasty Plot
Power Gem/thunderbolt

I think taking more of a supporting/utility role is better than trying to make offensive sets with Technician. It doesn't really have a movepool or stats for that imo. Fur Coat + Parting Shot + 115 base speed is really good, especially since Z-Parting Shot restores HP of your switch-in.

I could see a set such as the following being really useful:

Persian @ Leftovers / Darkinium Z
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Parting Shot
- Foul Play
- Taunt
- Toxic

A fast Taunt + Toxic makes it useful against slower teams while a quick Parting Shot is great vs offense. STAB Foul Play helps offset its crappy attacking stats (assuming Foul Play and Parting Shot can both be bred onto it).

Fur Coat makes it surprisingly bulky. The EV spread lets it live a +1 Flare Blitz from Jolly Charizard X

+1 252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 232 HP / 24 Def Fur Coat Persian: 279-328 (84.8 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

That is quite an interesting set idea. I was thinking of pairing the cat with the Bug/Fairy so it could constantly heal the cat(and my other pokemon) which would allow me to run nasty plot. though not sure of the stat investment needed to make nasty plot worth it and still tank damage well.

It also does get Hypnosis. That can be an interesting pivot move as well. Or even swagger to buff up the power of Foul play as well, though it is more risky. Then you can parting shot out to undo some of the threat swagger gave it

For VGC i was considering:
Persian-A @ Darkinium-Z
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs 252 HP/4 Def / 252 Speed (Placeholder until i run calcs tbh.)
Timid Nature
Fake Out
Parting Shot
Snarl/Foul Play
Hypnosis/Taunt
Fake Out for utility if they don't have Anti-Priority up, Parting Shot hits both opponents and lets it switch out but Allows for a Full Heal for the Incoming Pokemon. Snarl allows it to debuff Special Attackers, helping keep allies Healthy while Foul Play can allow it to chunk down physical threats. Fast Hypnosis lets it put threats to sleep, while Taunt can shut down Support options and possibly Trick Room.

Hmmm...I consider this Pokemon sort of a wild card.

Dark-type is interesting, but it's like of power isn't the best thing in the world. 75 SpA is just...eh. However, Fur Coat is a saint to it, as it can now get up a Nasty Plot up on physical Pokemon it isn't weak to, or weak super-effective attacks. 115 Spe is also promising. I think this could be POTENTIALLY UU, but it could also be NU.

Off-topic, he's an absolute baller.

Free healing wish that doesn't kill you and lowers opponents attack stats? This thing could be surprisingly good. It pivots for days and gives plenty of set-up opportunities for other mons.

A slight improvement over normal persian but still pretty poor. Looks like it could be a pretty decent utilty mon with great speed and parting shot. It does differentiate from furfrou a bit. Parting shot is a great boon to it making its teammates having a easier time to setup. Offensively its worse than its normal form though.

Not quite. Fur Coat and Nasty Plot with base 75 Special Attack could make it a decent special attacker with Dark Pulse and Thunderbolt. Fur Coat means it can take a hit to boost, then strike hard the next turn.

If you run Fur Coat then you have to forgo technician which may weaken some of the coverage options.

Only if your coverage is Hidden Power or Water Pulse (assuming it will get Water Pulse when tutors return in the next games). Thunderbolt is already base 90 power and Dark Pulse is STAB.

How about Rest Talk Parting Shot Foul Play, with max HP and Defense and as little speed as possible. Could make for a decently bulky pivot that makes setup opportunities for teammates. It's passive and shitty though, so maybe not, but it seems like one of the best niches it's got, although the higher tiers probably won't see it much due to Silvally doing something similar.

it's really not as bad as it looks, almost entirely due to parting shot. Passing half a memento (albeit with the incoming mon taking a hit) is pretty solid. imagine using it in on an opponent switch to a passive mon to bring in pheromosa or something.

The foul play / parting shot / taunt / toxic set that Bribery posted above is likely the only set it's going to run (with spreads and items varying). Special attacks and nasty plot are both godawful. It's actually almost impressive how few moves it has to fill 4 slots; there really isn't much else for it to run in singles. in doubles fake out and snarl are options, but I struggle to understand why you'd use it.

Technician Snarl outdamages Dark Pulse as well. Also, the way bottle caps work means Persian can have stuff like Hidden Power Fire without losing a speed point. So Technician will certainly be worth it in some cases.
