1% encounters or god-forbid SOS calls from 1% encounters. Even 5% is already wasting a lot of time to encounter. Not being able to easily buy evolution items from the Mart. Having to farm BP or random held items is annoying and time-wasting.

X Accuracy allows some cheesy strategies such as Hypnosis cheese and I'm not going to open the can of worms on that. X Items for me are fine unless the mon in question needs a lot of them.

Residual damage issues can be solved with an X Speed which brings you to only slower than Aero. Blizzard's accuracy is an issue though as IP isn't strong enough.

From memory, Croconaw sweeps Whitney and Chuck with Rage although you need Mint Berry for Chuck. Even Morty's Gengar can be defeated if you have Mint Berry. For Lance, you'll need Blizzard to sweep though.

I understand what you mean but Tentacruel's lack of access to Ice Punch means that Poliwag has better offense compared to it. Lapras probably has better offense than Poliwag but the Ice type gives neutrality to Fire (Houndoom, Charizard), and weaknesses to Fighting, and Rock (Aerodactyl)...

Hi, I was looking at this thread and was wondering why is Vaporeon at A rank? Eevee comes at Lv18 and it will not learn a Water type move until Lv37. You only get Surf at Route 6. Am I missing something here?

I did mention that if a move or power up is a couple of levels away, I'd do it. Example: Quilava's Falme Wheel or Gastly's evolution. If it's too far away then no.
