Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I usually avoid these kinds of oldgen discussions because I'm completely out of touch with modern reflections of the meta, but I was playing at top of ladder back in early SM and really wanted to echo the other comments that yeah- at the time Lando-I was completely absurd and had absolutely no...
If Darkrai is causing sleep to be an issue, ban it.
If Valiant or ATales (or anything else) are causing sleep to be an issue, ban them too.
The issue with Sleep is not the status itself. The issue with Sleep is Pokemon that are strong enough to create a scenario where a free turn or two is...
Echoing this to an extent from my playtesting, Terapagos is surprisingly not as broken as expected. Its definitely more beatable then a lot of other crazy Ubers that have had a shot in the past. I'd even dare say I'd rather deal with this thing than Zam-Crowned but that's potentially a hot take...
Echoing the above a bit, but do want to mention that Ingrain at least falls into the current rules description via being a trapping move (albeit a self-trapping one) but Aqua Ring doesn't raise stats or trap a Pokemon.
That currently leaves us with the ban actually being BP + any Move, Item, or...
I think this is the right thread for this? It's not a bug but it's an addition to a move page which I think doesn't go in the other thread.
I feel like the Axe Kick page should probably mention that unlike all other types of confusion, which last 2-5 turns, Axe Kick inflicts confusion that...
Unlike some crybabies I think supermajority was super necessary for this vote, even as someone who would've preferred to see action. Tera is the defining mechanic of the gen and shouldn't be banned unless its very clear its what the community as a whole really wants.
I also know and want to...
Covert Cloak blocks Salt Cure. This isn't currently implemented on Showdown. There's probably more we're missing about this item but this is likely the most pressing.
Edit: Have to go but wanted to run through one more set of checks. I don't have time to check how Showdown currently...
Please read more thoroughly. I was talking about using this as an additional restriction to a single-terastral teambuilding restriction. In that scenario it would be a bluff, because you decided which mon would be your terastralizer before the game started instead of during it.
Want to drop 2c but also don't want to go far enough in-depth for a PR post.
I think it's at least worth attempting to keep Terastral around since it's not even vaguely as broken as Dynamax. It's also probably too good to keep totally untouched forever, people will just continue to find new...
Arceus appears normal type, but it and Judgment both retain the typing from the Plate.
Wanted to mess around with this a bit.
Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orb no longer form change them. It's now Adamant Crystal, Lustrous Globe, and Griseous Core that do.
The Origins can be hacked to hold...
The opportunity cost for Last Respects is not your team dying. Scarf was a reasonable revenge killer in mid stages of the game and a brutal game ender as anchor, with somewhere between Zero set-up, or at most, slapping a Tyranitar on your team. Sand Stream doesn't even cost turns to set up...
There was talk of the Gen 8 restrictions to catching being lifted, I'm not sure how well established they are but I wanted to add a quick test to the pile. This is the best I could find quickly in a new save with 0 Gyms done.

Also been trying out some Sheddy stall to some degree of success, been using a very similar team but SkarmBliss over Snorlax/Tran. I opted to slightly dodge the passivity of Blissey by running Seismic Toss + Shadow Ball as a hard stop for Gengar while still having SToss to provide real damage...
